they do not have to do the weight in the same day in professional fight. So maybe he was at 89 kg there but the other category was to low for him to go. But when you have 30+ hours to hours to get back your weight it's easier.
He has never been a heavy weight or even a cruzer. It's the amateur boxing politics. Artur had to substitute another Russian heavyweight that was fighting as a cruzer. Sorry if it's too complicated.

@Proletariat For a boxing match in the amateurs (especially this high level) he did not provide any deep insight or knowledge in the subject. In fact, as many have pointed out, he would give analysis that was poor or inadequate. For example, he said he you shouldn't box moving backwards when quite the opposite is true. Due to Beterbievs serious power, Usyk saw most success when he changed his levels, angles and was moving and dodging Beterbievs punches and returning with his own. Overall for the quality of the bout, the commentary was less than exceptional.
@Proletariat While there is some space for discussion to emerge regarding commentary for the entire sport both professional and amateur, that doesn't change the fact that this particular bout was poorly commentated. I personally think people in HBO golden days like RJJ, Kellerman, Lampley and Merchant provided iconic commentary even if they have their biases. They atleast knew the sport and could provide history, knowledge, experience or create a narrative.

It will be a twelve round fight how long can you do that once you get punched by artur you panic
Yeah except for the difference here is Bivol is much smaller than Uysk yet Bivol might actually be a better defender than Uysk in the sense of how well he uses his forearms and biceps to block Beterbievs punches.
Imagine this right now !!! Wow , that would be an exciting fight!
This announcer's commentary killed me. Nothing he said made any sense, but he was confident in his delivery. Good show.
Whose watching after Beterbiev deafet Bivol
nobody
Commentator saying its wrong to box on the back foot while Usyk is having success boxing off thr back foot
John Smith usyk really good off back foot
beterbiev has great power and pressure
Put your volume all the way down and just enjoy 😉
This has got to be the most entertaining Amateur Bout I ever seen💯 and the commentary was great too..
13 years on both have become undefeated and undisputed as pros 🥊
Arthur is a kind of knockout phenomenon in boxing.
However, a rematch today at cruiserweight will see Usyk knock him out
how did beterbiev manage to drop from 91kg cruser to 79 kg light heavy while getting older.usually its the other way round
they do not have to do the weight in the same day in professional fight. So maybe he was at 89 kg there but the other category was to low for him to go. But when you have 30+ hours to hours to get back your weight it's easier.
91 was not his weight. He was lighter then. There were no spots in his own weight class. So he had to go heavier.
Probably cuts weight.
EPO, steroids, and/or another myriad of PE's that russian athletes are known to use
He has never been a heavy weight or even a cruzer. It's the amateur boxing politics. Artur had to substitute another Russian heavyweight that was fighting as a cruzer. Sorry if it's too complicated.
I love Usyk's constant movement across the ring, it must be very exhausting
Here after Beterbiev vs Bivol ?
This page is a hidden gem.
Usyks footwork is so graceful
They said that he was fond of dancing as a child, because of this he has such an elegant work on his feet.
Let's not forget that Shawn Porter beat Usyk in the amateurs. Some great fights before guys even turned pro
Usyk was in his first fights when fought porter he didn't start boxing early like others
lets not forget USYK won the gold medal lol
@@hiitman9637 he started at 17 for those wondering.
usyk started boxing around 17 years old and porter fought him when he was like 17/18. so usyk was not developed or even as tall as he was now then...Porter stared boxing at 7..so usyk was inexperienced and young when he fougth porter
WRONG FOOKIN USYK DIK BREATHS DUMBASSES
Even back then he was feel, very feel
Beterbieb should have gone straight to the body after he wobbled Usyk. Was gonna Gvozdyk will have the edge when they meet but Beterbiev shows world class timing to catch speedsters committing to a punch. Should be interesting.
Wow ! Worth of a fight for a professional tittle belt. That lateral moves and fluidity of Usyk..And Berterbiev , just radiate the danger. Wow !
Two of the best fighters pound for pound.
whos here watching this today
These 2 must fight again! 🥊
They're both undefeated/unified champs🏆
Both champions with 3 belts each. Soon, both of them gonna be undisputed.
And now they are both unified, undisputed champions with all the belts!
Good thing Saul chose to fight Bivol instead of Artur is my only thought. No disrespect to Bivol.. excellent work in his match tbh.
Usyk is an excellent boxer and Arthur as a pressure fighter as well. It's amazing these two are unbeaten to this day as pros👊
Crazy that usyk was obviously the much bigger guy but was constantly back peddling away from beterbiev who has so much hurtful power.this fight was better than most professional fights I have seen. 2 legends right here
Who is watching this after Bivol vs Beterbiev?
Usyk got SO MUCH better in footwork and in his sense of space since then
ARTUR BETERBIEV AND OLEKSANDER USYK IN DIFFERENT DIVISION BOTH ARE UP TO NOW THE HIGHEST LEVEL BOXING GUYS IN THE PLANET
Damn who scored this fight? Corrupt Nevada judges lmfao
WTF Usyk has a good frame for a 91 pounder! That commentator is utterly pathetic.
🤣🤣🤣
Guess they never heard of countering? They called in "boxing backwards" haha anyways I would love to see these two fight again now that they're in the professional ranks
If someone throws a punch with moving forward some moving backwards is just gonna miss there counter and waste energy.
I was i coach not bad one and i know that movin backward and know how to counter you are the best, like Ali... 😉😂
@Proletariat The commentator is abysmal. He was wrong about a lot of things.
Ive had the chance to meet both these fighters. Amazing men.
Both current 2024 p4p undefeated unified world champions.
Greatness
Artur Bettabyevv… from Romania 🇷🇺
It’s crazy seeing a time so long ago that both these guys were unknown to the point the announcer didn’t know what country they were from. Beterbiev from Romania? Lol
What a gem! Thanks for sharing!!
Can we get some respect for the commentator? Despite commentating for the olympics (a rather civilised affair), he managed to really bring the hype without raising his voice, not to mention excellent metaphors!
Both now undisputed champions unbeaten
Beterbiev have Some crazy power
Not in this fight
@Nozu the man got out classed easy n yall really think he can beat canelo ...beterbiev is not the goods I promise yall
@@supasilversurf7039 gaynelo💉 💉🥩😱😱
@@supasilversurf7039 man the man dropped the heavyweight champion😂😂
@@josevitela8788 uysk whipped his ass lmao 😂😂😂😂😂
This commentator loves the sound of his own nonsense
This is a great learning experience for both legends
Usyk was 24 and Beterbiev was 26 back then. They both were already champion material
Its awesome to watch 2 undisputed champions in 2024
This must be the fight where betrrbiev decided on knocking out guys instead of leaving it to the judges
Ametuer judging is different from pro
@@fernandotorres4489yea more corrupt
Can't believe betebiev droped that guy
TWO exceptional fighters. Both class acts in and out of the ring
Crazy I think he would’ve broke him in a 12 rnd fight
Maybe...would be an amazing fight at a catch weight.
Both unified champion and fighting soon for undisputed
I love watching this fight two of my top champs going toe to toe it’s sucks the best fight the best in amateur but as soon as they go pro politics get involved so we miss out on a ton of great and potential match ups ..still amazing to watch usyk my fav crazy heart and skill but artur is just a special man with natural power
Berterbiev is such a BEAST !!!
6:34 Usyk could be put to sleep in a pro boxing fight.
No way bivol can even imitate this kind of movement, Beterbiev crushes him
Beterbiev put Usyk down 12:00 he is was too strong for 175 lbs. Also check out Arslanbek Makmhudov who train with him
Good luck
LOL...if you think Bivol cant do what Usyk does then you dont know what your looking at ,they are both elite with their footwork.
@@deanthiessen7306 doesnt move the way usyk does, no way he can pull it off against beterbiev sorry bro.
Do you even watch boxing?
Both undisputed champions of the world in 2024, what a journey for both
And to think the kind of monsters they go on to become in the boxing world. Each unifying their own divisions to become undisputed. Crazy.
