    Beterbiev is such a savage puncher. 100% KO ratio as a pro, and right here he just rocked a bigass pro Cruiserweight who recently moved up to HW with a single punch. It's a shame he turned pro so late. Beterbiev needs to put some signature fights under his belt asap. Fight Bivol, Kovalev. If Canelo Alvarez beats Kovalev, fight Alvarez, although I think Canelo will not risk that fight.

      Russian's and definitely Ukrainians are usually avoided like the plague by big name U.S. boxers. Its been happening for years, theyre dont match up with them bc they arent "big" draws and are too dangerous. Not a lot of reward for that risk, especially with the Mayweather era of making sure you keep that 0 on your record more than anything. Ukranians def are the superior boxers and this is coming from a guy who lives in the U.S. and loves all styles...The eastern Europeans boxers are just better, simple.

    "you can't box going backwards" this commentator has no idea what he is saying, it's obvious he hasn't stepped in the ring a day in his life; one of the primary things you do as a boxer is go backwards and counter, look at Terrance Crawford, Willie pep, Mayweather and the list goes on, you can move backwards and at slight angles to create openings against an aggressive opponent. Please don't let this man comment on any more fights, he is very confident about things that he is demonstrably wrong about

      @@aaronsmo7082 so what is the analogy to breaking your hand whilst punching at the brick wall in boxing? Some shots are meant to set the opponent up and score points, others for dealing damage, you don't aim to punch through the opponent with every punch, you wanna do that with power shots but it is not the key to every punch there is also tactical boxing to control the action, what he describes is more like the key to score a knockout. And when you punch AT your opponent your hand doesn't break either that analogy is stinky this is guy is just making wild comparisons to create the illusion of deep expertise knowledge.

      @davidcampos2615 5 лет назад

      @Proletariat For a boxing match in the amateurs (especially this high level) he did not provide any deep insight or knowledge in the subject. In fact, as many have pointed out, he would give analysis that was poor or inadequate. For example, he said he you shouldn't box moving backwards when quite the opposite is true. Due to Beterbievs serious power, Usyk saw most success when he changed his levels, angles and was moving and dodging Beterbievs punches and returning with his own. Overall for the quality of the bout, the commentary was less than exceptional.

    • @davidcampos2615
      @davidcampos2615 5 лет назад

      @Proletariat While there is some space for discussion to emerge regarding commentary for the entire sport both professional and amateur, that doesn't change the fact that this particular bout was poorly commentated. I personally think people in HBO golden days like RJJ, Kellerman, Lampley and Merchant provided iconic commentary even if they have their biases. They atleast knew the sport and could provide history, knowledge, experience or create a narrative.
