Small house design doesn’t need a formal dining room.

In a house with just about 1120 sq feet I don't feel like that formal dining room is necessary. The kitchen needs more cabinets, especially upper ones. The laundry NEEDS to be on an outside wall in order to vent the dryer (this is a real problem that causes fires if you can't clean the vent regularly). I always look forward to the floor plan but you didn't include it. But, I LOVE the outside with the front porch.

This home isn't 1120 sq feet.... at best it's about 950 sq feet because the designer included the front and back porch in the home dimensions. The front porch is either 6 or 8 feet and the back porch looks to be 3 or 4 feet. So that means the house itself is probably between 30-32 x26, give or take.

The formal dining room could be forsaken for a bigger kitchen

A house that size works wirh the formal dining room. I prefer that. What I cannot fathom is walking directly into the living room from the front door nor how a house this size has an unusable kitchen and zero closet space. Terrible design.

Cute and too cozy. There are NO closets, kitchen prep space is minimal, no storage areas except maybe some shelving in the laundry room and it needs 2 bathrooms for the potential 4 people whom might occupy this home.

Thank you for your comment . The closet I left behind the wing of each bedroom. I will fix those shortcomings in the work later. Thank you

A 2 bedroom house can function just fine with one bathroom. It just takes a little planning. I grew up in a 3 bed one bath house with 4 people. We never had an issue except the one time all 4 of us were sick with Norwalk Virus at the same time.

There is no floor plan. The entry lacks a place for coats and footwear. The kitchen is tiny and without upper cabinets, but there is a large dining room. Perhaps the two should be combined. The bedrooms have no closets or wardrobes. This was not a well-thought-out presentation.

I can barely accept walking in the ftont door and being in the living room with nowhere to change out of wet footwear or to hang up a coat. Barely. What I cannot accept is the travesty that passes for a kitchen. The foitprint is large enough to work, but the layout is a disgrace. If that is the best you can do, take so cooking courses and learn how a kitchen functions. Kitchens are working spaces. Function takes precedence over appearance.
I see that in your world people have the clothes they are wearing and nothing else, not even a spare pair of socks. There is zero storage in either bedroom.
All in all, this design is a functional fail. What is really annoying about that is the fact that this is an OLD floor plan. There are hundreds, if not thousands, of houses in Ontario Canada built to this basic plan but with kitchens that work and bedrooms with closets and room for dressers. Some of these houses date back well over a century. If you are going to work off an old plan, at least TRY to improve it, not ruin it completely.

Thank you for your comment . I will learn from the following designs

This is a house for nudists who eat mostly take-out. ;-) I hope the designer learns from our comments.

Among the many....MANY... things wrong with this build, the designer committed the cardinal sin of not including spaces for heating/cooling nor is there space for any kind of water heater. These designers are so hell bent on making it look "pretty" or showing off their design chops that they forget to make the design livable at the same time. If someone wanted to copy this design or get plans for it from the designer, any contractor worth their weight would point out or ask what you were going to do about either of those two things because the house won't pass inspection without at least a water heater (tank or tankless). While I commend their creativity, I wish they would go that extra step and make it an actual home you could live in.
