    I understand the fly, buy or die but calling the same person 7 times a day is excessive. That’s why he has so many calls, he’s not calling 150 single leads.

    I admire his drive, he must work at a dealership group with many, many stores...as a BDC, I cannot have a rep with more than 200 customers at one time (per month). He gets paid to get them in the door, after that...the salesman has to go to work. Sounds like he has a great group of coworkers.

    He is selling the appointment not the car. When you're sitting at a desk all day stay off your cell and you'll be able to easily make 100+ calls in an 8 hour shift

    I think its awesome that he makes 130-150 calls per day, how may customers in his que? It appears he works for a large dealership group. I would be interested to see how many customers he is currently following, being effective BDC, you should (not) follow over 200 per month...

  • @troypast3589

    125+ calls a day, 49 units sold - which is probably 60-75 appointments. That is roughly 2.5 - 3 appointments in day per 125 calls - so 1 appointment per 40+ calls. Yikes! I admire the persistence but I hope is ratios are better now...

    What do you guys mean by “ I sold “ the job of a bdc rep is to get them in the door. You don’t actually sell the car. That is the salesmen’s job. What the bdc should be concerned about is the shows.

  • @TougeTourGuide

    He didn't sell those cars, the sales floor did. He just prospected and got them into the door.

    As a bdc manager my approach to prices, we need to build the value in doing business with “You”. Sell the experience as well

    • @Freddy4fingers2
      @Freddy4fingers2 5 лет назад +1

      I do not want your experience, I want a car. I know the make, model, trim level, options, and fair market value. If you won't give me a price w/out making me do a visit in order to keep me from comparison shopping, then you just lost a potential customer. What if your out the door final selling price was what I was looking for? The only reason you have to hide your prices is that they are higher than your competition.

      if i'm not mistaken this is better know as the BDC department . they are required to take inbound calls from prospects and never actually meet the person face to face . it is strictly the internet marketing dept for the dealership . also another requirement is to stay in contact with prospect and be brief to the point . you are paid based salary and co mission . aren't you a dealer?

      Thank you for your explanation because apparently some people don't actually KNOW what the BDC department, what it represents, etc. (And why are they so bitter????)

    • @BrownDodgeChrylser
      @BrownDodgeChrylser 9 лет назад +1

      david henriquez No buddy, if i was a dealer I wouldn't be running a RUclips page. Myself and a few others run this account & work at a small town dealership and don't have a BDC department. So with interest, I decided to ask about it. If it's a problem to want to know more about expanding or gaining knowledge from others. I hope that's ok..

    • @BrownDodgeChrylser
      @BrownDodgeChrylser 9 лет назад +3

      jblairbrown Your right. As a smaller dealership, you should know we are a certain class of dealership and might not need a BDC at the time. Some of the people we have like to use RUclips & other accounts and thought we could get some Wise & Friendly Intel from related business people. But some might be quick to bark some might throw a hand out there. Hope you understand jblairbrown..

    • @christianbutler8120

      No he is an appointment setter. They get cred for appointments set when the cars sales they also get credit not commission but they have a pay plan around those 2 things. You ain't working only 8 hours on the floor selling 35 cars a month.

    • @blselph2000
      @blselph2000 4 года назад +1

      I am a bdc agent and i give them all the information they need, answer any questions they have, do credit applications to get them pre approved, i follow up with sold customers, i do sight unseen trade appraisals as well. We may not work on the lot all day long, but it is difficult. Some bdc agents work cradle to grave, so depending where you're at, yes, they do the exact same work as you. I work 45-55 hours a week, it isn't as easy as it seems.

    He just sets the appointment and does NOT work the deal. If he did and was selling 49 cars a month he would be making $25-$30k per mo. or more!!! I'd love to know how much he makes per appt. Probably $100 per car. Also, working 40 hrs a week and selling 49 cars a month is IMPOSSIBLE if your doing the whole deal, which we know he is not!! He is not making a lot of $$$, probably making $60k year.
