    Rather than saying "It's not the vehicle is it?" Because this forces the customer to say no. Use "Is this the right vehicle?" It generates a yes rather than no.

      When I first started helping people buy or lease vehicles I picked up that question “is this the right car” listening to my mngrs. TOs. the right car=emotionally invested. If it’s doesn’t come with a remote starter or it hasn’t been safetied yet so it needs new tires or some other add on, etc. that’s another conversation.

      But a real closer knows to use a customer's no to close.
      I'd rather a no, than a yes.
      Whichever momentum a customer gives me, I'm using against them. I'm not going to force a yes if the customer has said no all day

    Gino is a professional, I can tell. I’ve been helping people buy and/or lease vehicles for 4 years and two weeks to the day also, I ask slightly different questions or ask the same questions differently depending on your perspective (it’s all perspective). I will say that I felt like I was being sold listening to Gino... Lastly, I will make it plain & simple, if 1st pencil doesn’t make sense to the person in front or to the side of you remember this; educating the client on the value (1. Yourself 2. Dealersip 3. Product) AND numbers/price = gross.

    "Other than, Other than, Other than" If they say price, its the payment. If they said trade, its the payment. If they say down payment, its the payment. "Where are you more flexible, payment or down payment?" Sell the value on the rig, have the ability to leverage the relationship with you and your customer. Be willing to tell people things they may not want to hear in a positive way. The deal is a feeling. Always remember that. Some good stuff here. JR

    This sales objection is not unlike the rest, it is just a ruse for something else that is keeping them from buying. It is typically followed by the phrase “I’ll get back to you and let you know”. Now, this should be taken as if it were said to you after a first date and you asked if they would like to see you again!

    The business has the ultimate leverage over people that don't know what they are doing. Luxury cars are a different market, but there is still room to make a deal. The customer always determine the price, whether it's legal or illegal transaction. I've seen too many guys in the barber shop that was making good money selling cars, but they quit because their morals wouldn't allow them to keep lying to people. Yes ultimately the dealer will get you, but the consumer determine whether it's for a little or for a lot.

    When he ask the question, "if there was one thing standing in the way of your purchase".... ...what's he's trying to do, is paint you into a corner with a sense of "false obligation" , so you'll feel like you owe him and have to buy the car. It's the same method a guy uses when he's spent his money on a chick and now he wants her to put out. What I'd do at that point is call another dealer, in the salesmen face, quote him the price I was quoted , out the door, and see if he can beat it. The worst that can happen is you get a better price.

    • @gregjimenez9979
      @gregjimenez9979 8 лет назад

      +TWB Getting a better price would actually be the best thing that could happen. The worst thing that could happen probably would not involve saving any money at all.

    • @mdavis3610
      @mdavis3610 3 года назад

      Why talk about price if the person has issue with the car? It comes down to price.

  • @tbursee
    @tbursee 8 лет назад

    Sir Value Is "subjective" . The customer determine value. The price is objective, thats why its negotiable. I dont pay full price because I do see value. Why pay $50,000 for a car new when the same car two years with the same option is $38,000? Where is the value in that? The internet let's you see 100 cars at the same time. It could $4,000 cheaper, 2 hours away in another state, even on the new one. I saved $3500 driving 1.5 hours to another state.

    I want to thank you for this video. I have showed it to my high school financial literacy class to show them what predatory fucks most car dealers are. Your job as a dealer is to trick and frustrate me, this gives me ideas how to do it to you.

    • @theannouncerdad
      @theannouncerdad 8 лет назад

      +Greg Schneider You make excellent points and are very well spoken, but I do not agree completely with your analysis. I will edit my above remarks to say "some". The fact there are scammers in the "world at large" does not excuse the behavior of anyone else in any industry. I suppose two wrongs make a right? You do make an excellent point, I would not survive in the auto industry, which is why I have a different line of work. I could not live with myself knowing my survival relies on tricking and screwing over others. I will ask you the same question I ask all others who defend ridiculous videos like this. Do you pay full MSRP when you buy a vehicle? If not, why not? You are just screwing over the poor salesman who is trying to feed their family! One of the saddest things it the ones who are screwed over the most are often those than can afford it the least (poor, minority, low income, ECT). If you can sleep at night doing that, more power to you.

    Wait. People are "giving a surface response" because YOU asked for a surface response. You are the one who asked "if there was one thing". YOU are the one who forced me to say only one thing. So you can't turn around and give me a chance to say a second one and say "I'm glad I asked" and pat yourself on the back for being a professional.

  • @tbursee
    @tbursee 9 лет назад +2

    So on other words it's a hustle. you guys get over on uneducated consumers. The general public doesn't know how to use the internet to their advantage. I never buy new ( depreciation hit) , and I find the lowest price on auto trader, regardless of location, and work my deal ftom there.

    • @daviddrivespremium392

    • @bradmetcalf7782
      @bradmetcalf7782 8 лет назад +2

      +TWB People know how to use the internet. They come in knowing more about the vehicle than we do half the time. They know what they are selling for in their market, they know invoices, they know retail and book value on their trades. There are no uneducated customers anymore.

    Show them the service department where it takes six hours to get an oil change, or you charge $200 to read an error code. Show them the parts department, where you can pay 300% more for parts than on Amazon. I want you to sign some fake commitment to buy so my manager gets a hard on thinking I am a sucker. It is really sad people fall for this shit.

    • @codymills2324
      @codymills2324 8 лет назад +1

      Blake Hawk every day in life you will counter sales. This is a weak close designed for beginner car salesman who don't know how to face objections. In life it's simple you close or be closed. As a sales consultant our goal is always to satisfy you. Psychologist say that is takes literally 10 seconds to make a decision and outside of that we talk ourselves out of even good things. I have dealt with so many customers that had your attitude in the beginning but because I fought past your objections left so unbelievably happy. Deal with a professional next time.

    • @bigdogpete43
      @bigdogpete43 7 лет назад

      Cars are an expense. Minimize your expenses and redirect fix your dollars to assets that appreciate. Would you buy a $40,000 stock that you knew would depreciate an average of 27% in the first year?

    • @703z06
      @703z06 7 лет назад

      solution: dont buy a car. Why are you even on this video then?

  • @evanwindom3265
    @evanwindom3265 2 года назад

    Nothing new to see here, except the overuse of "obviously". "But it's not the car, is it?" That's not a systematic treatment of an objection -- that's a distraction from what the customer has ALREADY TOLD HIM the issue is. The customer says the price is too high, and his response is "It's not the car, is it?" Misdirection. "If there was ONE THING..." He's already setting you up. Let's say you deal with the price. Then he'll be all about "When I asked you if there was ONE thing, you said price. We've dealt with that. Now you have ANOTHER thing?" This is all about manipulation and control. This is the same tired old "word-tracking" customers hate. If you find yourself talking about "word tracks", you're already validating everything customers hate about buying a car. Can't you just TALK to people? Seriously...
