Just installed this on my 2012, that front torx bolt is a major PITA to get to, but finally found one I was able to remove it with. I got the lower intake one, but need to replace the gaskets for the upper which just arrived 20 minutes ago so will have it done today. What a nice freaking KIT!!! The machining is superb, at first I thought the fittings for the factory connections were plastic, but they are aluminum, machined so well they look like they were plastic. Best kit on the market, hands down and thumbs up. I took the time to clean out the soot from the EGR side, what a mess, opened the passage by at least an inch, and the egr control valve had 1/4" of soot stuck to the back side. Now that I know what it is, I can disconnect it, but at least it is no longer restricted.
I just don't understand why Ford and Ram went to the CP4 AFTER the disaster that Chevy went through with the DMax. Seemed like planned obsolescence to me. Ram went back to the CP3 for 2021, at least.
If i remember right i believe they all starting using cp4 the same year or within a year of each other so i don't think they had time for the disaster to even start, correct me if I'm wrong though
Went and looked at a 6.7 today ....thought it was gonna be my Dream truck ..Dreams shattered .... Decided to spend between $30,000 to $40,000 on a nice 7.3 power stroke or 12 valve or 24 valve if anyone has one around that will last me a few years .... Let me know I'm not a Teenager .
I was on the fence too but after buying several items now from SPE and seeing the quality of the products I bought their DPK Gen 2. The S&S is good too, don’t get me wrong. My buddy has that one. But you don’t have to cut or modify anything with the SPE kit. Plug and play.
Just installed this on my 2011 with 178k miles on it and wish I had seen your video before hand the little keg was a pain and I had to figure it out about the rotating the keg by myself after struggling for about 30 minutes. Good video love the truck I'm subscribing peace.
Installed yesterday...be advised that your MPROP may not “click” right in. I sanded the edge of mine with a Dremel to remove a hair’s width off the bottom to get it to work. Also, ensure that you tighten everything back down, and reconnect everything.
How long did it take them to ship your kit I’ve been waiting 3 months and these clowns don’t return emails but they sure do charge your credit card right away
Is your kit different the a- premium? I see that theirs comes with a filter and I noticed that the one you advertised didn’t have a filter? This is all new to me. So I’m learning as I go on what is a must have and what is an option.
mine started leaking pretty much immediately. they dont tell you that you cant use it with your factory ccv box..both blocks they provide in the kit rub against the ccv box. you would think, who cares if the flexible plastic is rubbing against it? well, the female hole for the quick disconnect in the spe part was machined too large of a diameter, and the oring doesn't hold the pressure of the fuel. cabin smells like diesel when i come to a stop, and there's diesel dripping off my a-arms and soaked into the heat shield near the steering shaft. glad i wasted hundreds of dollars and about 6 hours of my life installing it. will be removing it and just going back to stock when i have time to remove the top half of the damn engine again. lack of fuel pressure at high loads is causing shifting problems because the pcm is seeing a lack of torque and wants to downshift unexpectedly. factory trans computer cant compensate enough for smooth shifts. just one problem after the next

I would have thought it would be good to replace that little filter right along with the stock filters when they are due to be replaced or at the very least, inspect it and clean it off. @@ninorcsinned3465 The CP4 pump shreds its-self then sends fuel to the system filled with little metal fragments, some goes back in the tank, so it has to be removed and cleaned as well. They have to remove the cab of the truck to access all the lines, which apparently can't be flushed out but need replaced for some reason. Basically every single part the is fuel delivery system has to be replaced. OH, I did I mention they put the same POS CP4 pump that will fail again back on? A new one of course.... This should totally be a re-call on Fords part !!!

I have a 2016 power stroke. All factory except for a Ezy Lynk tuner. After this kit was installed , all was fine. Untill i run the tuner in lvl 4. Engine light comes on & it says low fuel. Basically i can only run in lvl one or theres issues. Anyone else seeing this or have some advice ?
This. Ford's 7.3 V8 is a monster and Ram now has the 8spd on the 6.4. Diesels are cool and all, but if I'm not towing and hauling daily, no way! Plus you **can't** delete anymore, so on top of the fuel issues, you are most certainly going to have emissions issues down the line.
@@mafrif nah... im still doing fuel systems with this on it. It goes from pump to rails to injectors to tank to pump with filter to filter. Still killing fuel systems. Best way to solve this is to make a cp4 to cp3 conversion kit.
Really? The top end and bottom end of the cp4 are separate when you install this. Fuel that goes through the lower end of the cp4 goes directly into the return line Which has a new filter and the top end gets fuel that has been filtered to be plunged into the fuel rails. No way any fuel is contaminated except for the return line up until the filter.

6.0 is a pretty good engine actually as long as you take care of it and stud it... 6.4 is normally a long block replacement. 6.7 was windowing the block a lot in the beginning. The emissions stuff and lack of maintence is what kills them now mostly
Had the S&S kit and it caused low rail pressure issues. Please post a review video and if you have an ezlynk or something that shows your rail pressure please put a clip of it in.
Given factory recommended filter maintenance when would you recommend installing the CP4 (millage wise) and do you know if installation will void factory base or extended warranty. Cool product and well explained.

One more ? Corey/do you and Dan have any thoughts on using the ORFS fittings in lieu of JIC/ORFS fittings will use the O ring face to keep vibration in the environment it will reside in the engine and will aid in a possible crack at the bevel of the JIC fitting due to a mechanic over torquing the fittings from a lack of talent. Here in Ca, I have seen this here even at the dealer. Here is my point, I took our truck into the Ford dealer for a front end wobble, in their effort to fix that the mechanic told the service writer I needed rear brakes/ I knew this to be true on the last tire rotate. I told the writer put brakes on the rear. (I brought my Bilstein shocks and steering stabilizer in for an install and fix of the wobble/Ford had a redesigned stabilizer that was not half the quality of Bilstein) The writer calls me back later in the day to tell me good news/bad news. I said lets hear it. He said the clown did the front brakes in lieu of the rear that he told the writer prior I needed. This the dealer telling this! WOW!!(good news was new rears as well) two weeks later the rears are squealing at braking. Took it into a tire shop for the rotation that was due. The clown never turned the rear rotors! Took it back to Ford and spoke to the SM who had another guy turn the rotors. They said the criminal that did my not needed front brakes was fired. No more squealing. This is the level of stupidity/criminal activity that exists with some of the dealers mechanics here in Ca.(perhaps this fool/criminal needed 70% left front pads for his personal truck)? Ford is aware of the issue. There is a correlation between talent and what they pay them out here. The ford dealer by me has one 6.7 mechanic that is shared between them and another Ford dealer. As a result, the Ford dealer by me has 85/ 6.7 trucks in the heavy line dept. These trucks are soooo sophisticated now from the buyback days of the 6.0's, it takes an extensive amount of training to get the Ford Cert for 6.7's Seems if the techs are not academics, they struggle to receive the min to pass the certification tests. Even if they pass with a min score/ what ever that is 50,60,70// they missed/lack all the training to be the talent of 95-100%value that is critical for us when we the customer come in to trust them with our 60K trucks for service on the 6.7 Seems Pa./SPE is the place in the country with the talent for us all/ although it is about 2400 miles from me. Powerstroke help diesel in Georgia is also a very well trusted source in the US as SPE.

I have that setup on my truck but the fuel filter only has 2 ports not 3. I have a 2016 F250. I bought the s and s Gen 2 prevention kit.

I was on the fence too but after buying several items now from SPE and seeing the quality of the products I bought their DPK Gen 2. The S&S is good too, don’t get me wrong. My buddy has that one. But you don’t have to cut or modify anything with the SPE kit. Plug and play.

The gen2 unit has a separation filter there so no need to drop the fuel tank any longer. Am I right?

I talked to a local mechanic, he said he hasn't seen this on the later models, 2019 and up, did they change something to help the issue?
