115,000 KM's on my 2018 F350 Dually , it would randomly blow white smoke when I put the pedal to the metal and would burn off the extra oil and then stop smoking. I got fed up with the dealership charging me $1,000 to fix sensors and other crap that the engine was throwing codes on. My CCV box had the serviceable filter in it, when I removed it to do the reroute kit the filter was full of nasty black oil that spilled everywhere. Very easy and clean install of the reroute kit ( mine didn't have an internal cheese grater), I ended up routing it into my frame so if any oil does leak out it will help with rust build up. Eventually I will extend my hose to the back of the truck so that any smell is out the back of the truck not under the truck.
Hi, just installed CCV delete kit on 2017 f250, 125k. Make sure you extend vent hose back to rear of vehicle, the kit hose is to short ending up under driver side door area, when low rpm’s the diesel smell is annoying, specially with window down
So where the engine gets capped off where old lefty lossey goes in would it be possible to reroute lefty loosey with an extension and be done? Wouldn’t that literally solve the problem and eliminate the circuit?
I have a 2014 f250 6.7 and I was told that mine such as the one you're working on there of the 2012 CCV box does not have filters in them and does not need to be replaced
Ive heard that the ccv reroute adds even more pressure. It's said that the turbo causes a vacuum for the ccv to extract the gasses from the bottom of the engine. would "rerouting" the ccv do more damage than just replacing the cc filter of the entire ccv itself??
My truck was blowing white smoke out of the exhaust. Rerouted the ccv with the internal catch can and no more white smoke plus no more oily intercooler boots.
I personally have found kind of a loss of throttle responsiveness since doing my reroute. I used the dirty diesel brand kit with no catchcan and it sprays oil droplets all over the side of my truck and side step.
I drive a b8g truck. Forever it has been 250000 and the problems always start with emissions. I also have a 2012 Ford 6.7 with 130000. Always keep my maintenance but I know what is coming. For my 350 it will get a revamp from the exhaust to the egr. These emissions problems are not avoidable. Not if but when
The SPE instructions cover this topic in detail. Cut the flex hose just past the "lefty loosey" connection. Put that cap on that tail end. Install the "lefty loosey" back onto the intake manifold and plug the sensor wire in. The system will then "see" the CCV filter as being properly plugged in.
Can you or someone that knows more than me about diesels please help me figure out why my '16 F250 6.7 makes the same exact clacking noise at idle like Corey's does? The clacking is rhythmic with RPM increase/decrease that noise drives me insane but mine has undergone weight loss fairly recently. I only noticed the noise after the weight loss haha
They changed the ccv box on the 22 and removed the filter. They still make the kits. The 22 is less likely to blow out like the older ones because that was the filter expanding because of the oil but you are still dealing with the oil going through the turbo.
That's called a over the engine creeper. Amazon is the cheapest. Some part stores can get them. Then your tool companies i.e. matco, snapon, mac and cornwall. But the cheapest is going to be over $200 from what I seen
If only the big 3 stop trying to scam their customers with expensive and unreliable truck you shouldn't touch anything like that before 250k miles at a minimum at they should be on a 10 years or 300k miles warranty as a diesel engine !!! But hey its up to the people to speak with their wallets and stop buy crap!
Mine has been on for about 80k miles, looks great and hasn’t leaked a drop. Only complaint about it is the hose is too short to route to the rear bumper.
Yes it is, if you're doing a weight loss program, do it right and take care of everything, also I would recommend cleaning the throttle body to allow better air flow cuz them things get nasty on these 6.7s
Sure am glad I live down south. No rust on my frame and real clean under the truck.
Dude, big thank you for showing how the "lefty loosey" grey fitting comes off. watched a bunch of videos before finding you taking it off correctly.

Can you please cut the CCV open to show us how 100k looks on these filters?
Simple to understand to the point video. Great job.
I have a 2021 F350... is there an engine year you can stop worrying about this or does it continue through current model year? Thanks.
I installed the same kit on my 2012 with the catch can, im getting ALOT of oil coming out of my exhaust. What have i done??
So where the engine gets capped off where old lefty lossey goes in would it be possible to reroute lefty loosey with an extension and be done? Wouldn’t that literally solve the problem and eliminate the circuit?
No because the fumes would still be routed through the box. Those ccv boxes are garbage

hello ,
where the hose disconnects from engine and gets capped off, what to do with wires disconnected at end of hose ?
Ive heard that the ccv reroute adds even more pressure. It's said that the turbo causes a vacuum for the ccv to extract the gasses from the bottom of the engine. would "rerouting" the ccv do more damage than just replacing the cc filter of the entire ccv itself??
A lot of people will reroute ccv to rear of exhaust to pull correct vacuum and prevent blow back
My truck was blowing white smoke out of the exhaust. Rerouted the ccv with the internal catch can and no more white smoke plus no more oily intercooler boots.
Can you “re route this” on a stock truck and not throw a check engine light?
Yes
Also told that if the CCV box has bolts in the top then it needs serviced and it has filters
My 2016 is smoking like a damn cigar sometimes, oil leaking everywhere. Now I know what to do
I personally have found kind of a loss of throttle responsiveness since doing my reroute. I used the dirty diesel brand kit with no catchcan and it sprays oil droplets all over the side of my truck and side step.
Did you install the internal catch can?
@ no catch can
@@dirtdiggler1980 buy the internal catch from spe and you won’t have oil spraying on the truck.
Would you recommend doing this on a new 2023 6.7? Thank you sir
Absolutely, as soon as possible.
Protect your investment and have peace of mind👍🏻
Absolutely. All 6.7s need the ccv rerouted. I’ve seen so many of them leaking oil due that ccv box.

What size tires are those? Truck looks rad!
Is this kit smog legal I live in California?
SPE recirculating ccv is the way to go now I think. Especially if deleted.
Will that work with the spe piping kit?
Corey, did you mean the CCV oil through the intake wasn't the extra lubricating oil for the turbo internals?????😂😂😂
I’m in Arizona if you ever in town I would like to know if you would change my box out and how much would you charge 2015 f250 6.7
Will this work on a 2017 6.7 with 240k miles that's still running on government juice? The underside is covered in oil.
I just got my kit. Egr dpf weightloss program
Awesome!
What’s the kit part number
What about the sensor?
So when it hit 80. 90 k. Get it done
Any updates released yet?
Corey, what’s your opinion on the cat oil filter housing from spe?
I know this is something I need to do but not sure I would be able to get my meat paws in there.
What is done with the sensor wire when the ccv delete is finished? Thanks...
That's the only reason I watched this. No info

Does this violate your emissions like if you do an EGR bypass?
Yes no one cares about the re-route though like they do egr system.
Need you to do the disaster and CCV on my ‘16 f2fiddy

Can you do a video and post it on RUclips and send me the link of your noise.
Now she needs a disaster prevention
Those things are scams, just do a dcr
@@dirtbikedude1334 yup 👍
Yeah ik. $400 is crazy
@@dirtbikedude1334It’s not a scam. Look at S&S Gen 2.1 Snake Oil? video.
It’s all a scam. Change your fuel filters every 10k. Only run clean fuel. Use good fuel additive. 99% of cp4’s never have an issue
I thought this was only an issue in 17s - 21s. Thought the early ones just had a baffle. No filter.
Had a 2014 that was blowing huge white clouds of oil smoke out of the exhaust on wot pulls. Rerouted the ccv and no more oil smoke.
Is it the same on a 2022 6.7?

Just happened on my 15 F350. Blowing oil everywhere.
Will placing the pipe in the frame, cause it to rust, it is basically water vapour.
My guess? It helps curb rust because of the oily residue.
It is not water vapor
That frame wishing you'd sent an oil hose years ago. 😆
Doesn't it oil the turbo? ;-) Sorry - had to do it.
They changed the hose design. That hose looks cheap compared to the older kits.
The whole kit is now crap. Mine leaks all over the place.
@@BJ-vd3rp Replace the o-rings. Everything SPE that I own has leaked due to crappy o rings.
