When removing the EGR bolts on the manifold side, do it like this and you'll have a very high success rate. #1 go drive the truck like it's stolen to get the exhaust manifold very hot, #2 spray the bolts with a penetrant until a layer of it can stay on the manifold and bolts without burning off, keep spraying penetrant over the next ten minutes to maintain thin layer around the two bolts. After 15 minutes of cooling, "It should still be pretty hot" it will have pulled enough of the penetrant into the threads to now remove the bolts. Do not try removing bolts on a cold exhaust manifold they will seize and break. If you have a bolt get slightly tighter when you start removing, stop immediately and spray more penetrant then gently run it back in. This is not a race, your goal is to get penetrant on the threads to prevent galling. Repeat the back and forth, in and out adding penetrant until the bolt comes all the way out. 90% of these trucks will have no issue and the bolts will come out smooth if you follow what I said. Also when removing any of the turbo V band clamps, heat them with MAP gas and they will pop right off with a light tap. Heat is your friend with anything on the exhaust.
Thanks for the vid boss! Just did it to my truck last night. Took me longer than I’d like to admit but couldn’t have done it without this video! Awesome tutorial
I just wanted to thank you for your You Tube channel! I just deleted my 2017 Powerstroke today and I couldn’t have done it without your channel! Thanks for what you do!
Crazy I was about to commend on how detailed you were and then you forgot the exact detail I was looking for😂 what size thread are those three nuts on the back dang it. Now it's going to take me longer 😂 5/8ths fits but grinds off after hitting the ratchet with a hammer 😂
Did the BDX tune and now im not showing 6th gear or shifting into it. Everything is great until 60 mph then its a dog. Do i just need to drive it until everything gets relearned? 2019 f350 6.7
Love watching the videos! Also didn’t hp tuners unlock the 24 l5p, but they are still working on a solid tune? Have you heard of any progress or is that all hearsay?
I did a full delete and everything went great except after install my rear blinkers don't work, my tailgate doest work, and my abs, brake, and traction control lights are lit
I’ve never ever heard of that happening. I’d make sure all your wiring is good and you didn’t nick any wires under the truck. If you have the ez lynk load a stock tune on and see if your blinkers and tailgate works again to eliminate it as a tuning issue.
i have a question i hope someone answers me please, i just deleted my 2017 L5P, been having issues with tune first my 4x4 wasn't working the guy flashed it it kinda fixed but my glow plugs are not working, or atleast my glow plug light doesn't turn on, anyone knows anything about it ? any experience ?
I’m pretty sure the glow plug light won’t turn on unless your truck senses it’s cold enough to activate them. I usually remote start my 2017 so I guess I haven’t paid much attention, but I know that after I run errands and turn my truck back on when I come back the glow plug light isn’t on (probably from the truck being warmed up already). If it’s colder already where your at, then this probably isn’t helpful info
Love the 6.7L. Would the EFI live tune work on this delete? Great job and can’t wait for dyno. I’d probably try a good muffler shop to help me fab the 5” Cool 😎

100% this is very good advice, I appreciate the comment

Slow and steady is the way to do it man. Glad I could help!

You can take one of the front sensors out of the exhaust and place it in the block plate to monitor your egts.
Just want to say thank you for the weight loss videos you post it really is helpful
I lost track of how many sensors there were on that entire exhaust system. That's insane!
Great video and direction, getting ready to do this work on my 2021
Perfect just bought a 18 f-250!
Big fan. Ordering a kit next week.

Curious to see the dyno numbers on the truck now.
Nice video, thanks. Would it be beneficial to remove the bed to gain better access?
Great video , all your videos are very informative!!!
You gotta do a 23-24 powerstroke!
Are there any benefits to removing the egr pipe compared to leaving it in?
If I brought you my truck how much would you charge to do the delete and tune?
Great video man!
1st up.... LFG
👊🏻 👊🏻
You do these vids for entertainment not for practical utilization... 😉
What about the black bracket ?
What happens if I already have my truck apart while I’m doing a DCR conversion
That egr senser wont read right need to use the one from your dpf
Could you undo your battery so the cooler don’t spark. Or is there a reason why the battery wire stays connected. Other than that great video.
What tuner should I get for to do a delete with a stock tune no added hp or anything just wanna keep it stock but delete the emission bs
What the dissadvange of not rmeoving rhe egr? Does it still use it if yiu dont take it off?
same question.
Great vid!!
Where did you get your sensor plug kit from
Here’s the link for the plug kits shrsl.com/4mjk0
What if you removed the EGR and installed the block off plates before installing the tune???
Where can you get the plug kit for the sensors to cap them off?
Great video, but what's the advantage to removing the EGR vs. using tunes to bypass it?
It can still leak

2019 f350 6.7
Does any body disconnect the throttle plate sensor after doing this
Love watching the videos! Also didn’t hp tuners unlock the 24 l5p, but they are still working on a solid tune? Have you heard of any progress or is that all hearsay?
I haven’t heard anything about the 24 L5Ps yet but if that’s true that’s awesome
Ccv exhaust dump is part of this
Do I have to drain the def system to remove dpf
2.8 dmax full egr and cooler removal?
Where are you I don't want to do it.
Do we need to remove the def tank?
No you don’t have to but you can if you’d like
So just remove it that’s all nothing special.

What about a 2023

@@jakewilson24same here 2016 F350, light doesn’t turn on much because I’m in Washington and it’s never really that cold

Hey efi live doesn’t offer support for powerstrokes so you gotta go with BDX or EZ Lynk (I recommend ez lynk)
@@darkirondiesel Cool thanks! You know the details 👍
those plastic clips don't play games lol
