Bobby Gately (Gately Audio, Sacramento CA) made some changes to his already incredible 6-6.5" box that i am running in my truck. I want to run 4 8's and more power but he asked if i would give the newer version a try. Of course i said yes! But he had to come help so i could film :D It was kinda fun!

I wish there was something to only go under half of the rear seat, so much awesome storage there for trailer and recovery items that I don't want to lose.
Yeah... If only there were somewhere else to store all that stuff. Like a cargo compartment attached to the rear of the cab, that would be sweet.

Hey Steve,, I build my speaker box similar as that one, in a different way and I put 2 10" hcca and hcca 5000.1D and they sound amazing,, different pick up truck I tuned at 27-32 hz.. and sounds so deep and clean.. all notes with Orion system is awesome...
Been looking at the 4x 8” box for my F150. I have a few of Bobby’s boxes already and they play great.
Also thanks for the IM-SG+ update, been wondering what’s up. Glad that every detail gets caught.

I have a 2004 chevy silverado 2500 crew cab. Doing a custom build. Lifted the seats 4 inches ( kids enjoy that a good bit). Removed the seat frame to make maximum room. But made sure to keep the seats fully operational and safe for the kiddos. I can make about 5sq ft total using 1/2inch mdf and about 4.5 Sq ft using 3/4 inch thick mdf. Will have a few audio control parts. (Epicenter and overdrive) plus crossover possibly. But it's up to four 8s or six 6.5s.
Im in same battle right now! I had 4 8s on 3k in my last pickup that was suppised to go UNDER the rear seat and didnt then progressed into 3 15s which desteoyed the dash and interior. Now my new truck i REALLY wanna keep rear seat, looking to lift 3 or 4" and possibly 3 10s , 4 8s or even a pair of 12s not sure yet . hard decision

I've built a couple 4 8's boxes for rockford fosgate p2's. I have 4 8" p2's in my 98 tacoma extra cab. Its about 3.6 cubic feet and tuned at 42hz. That paired with some t1675's in the back, t2675-s in the front, and some extra t142's in the door sounds clean AF.

yeah in my ford truck when i first crank it up its at solid 14.8, when i start driving down the road it settles at 14.3 to 14.5 and goes no lower then that. even with the zv5 15 on a sfb3000 back there and with the heat on and windshield wipers, although it dips down point one of a volt when i putting the windows down. so i think the alternator stops charging that high after a little bit of idling or something.
For a second i thought it was looking at en engine block. Lol. My mind tricked me for a split second there. I was like damn is that a v12.

That box is 🔥, seen gatley makes a box for either 4-6.5s or 6-6.5s for 5th gen rams. Wonder if 4-8s is not possible and would my best option to get the most performance jus go with 4 or 6 6.5s in my ram🔊💨💨💨

Stock on that truck puts out 220amps at 14.4 volts. so around 3k watts continuous is all it's good for stock. It's possible the battery can support bass hits and you will still be net positive. This might be an application where a capacitor would help.

I’m trying to decide between 4 8” Memphis mojo subs or 6 6.5” Memphis mojo subs. Which set up would be beating harder? I want that drive by and shake the wall bass!
Soon adding some bass in my 2015 Camry. Starting out with my brothers old 2 10 inch mismatched subs in a sealed box he used to have in his 06 Altima but, I will get a Skar rp2000.1 to future proof my setup for bigger better 12s.

crazy. I was barely pulling 140 db back in the early 90s with 6 12" DVC Orions. Granted, only 1 HCCA 225 pushing them all but damn, 140s with 6 6.5s??
U probably pushed 140 with roughly 200 watts xD, i hear stories from my dad and his mates from back in the 80/90's that they got 4 15's imported from russia doing 130 with a 100 watt amp xD dont know how true that is do
@@TheZombieSlayer1155 The old HCCA's were built to be loaded up. The 225 was 2x25w at 4 Ohms.
The shop's electrical wiz replaced the mosfets & power supply in it & thought it was running more at 1/4 Ohm. Wattage doubles every drop in 1/2 of the Ohm rating from what I understood. So that HCCA 225 was a 2 channel, 25w per channel amp at 4 Ohm, but doubled wattage at 2 Ohms to 100w bridged. Then 1 Ohm doubled again to 200w, 1/2 Ohm again to 400, then 1/4 ohm again to 800w. Off a rated 50w amp? I did alright in 0-100w class. 😁
depends on your car, if u have an suv its harder then a sedan or truck because the cabin is smaller

Hey Steve jst watched and I can hear the difference it has tht lil more boom in it and I have my headphones on and with the mic distorting but still can feel it in my ears so tell ur friend awesome job of recreating the box and can't wait to hear the eights in the box and i bet the bass will be harder maybe by a fraction but the notes can only tell ya lol peace

My extended days cab Sierra also does worlds better with front windows down with my 2 12s atm.
