@Conner no shit on the programming. No way on the straight pipe. LOL. That is literally the last thing i would ever do. Could use a little tune though. Or just leave it alone it's great the way it is stock.
I know it's a LONG video just showing wire..imagine how it was to do the work while filming and then spending 7 hours editing when you get home. I love this but it is work! I appreciate everyone who watches, especially if you watch the entire thing! Thank you!
I'll always watch till the end. I always get new ideas for systems after watching your builds. I'm making plans for my wife's Ford Flex right. Not looking forward to that wiring.
Try here in Southern Maryland. The shops in my area are laughable and all the reputable shops went out of business because of how new cars come with decent sound systems stock and people are cool with what they put out.
Hey man don’t apologize for the noise, you have a business to run and money to make , you run those machines anytime you need to and we’ll deal with it
Rivet nuts are my new favorite tools for car audio installs. They just look so clean and stock. They always look like they're meant to be there. Even for securing boxes, wiring, brackets... they work miracles for everything car related.
Steve, my mind was just blown. It took me a minute to realize that was your son. I don't know why I subconsciously imagined he'd be doing the Bart Simpson thing and stay looking the exact same for all these years. I've been drooling over your work for a long time now. I remembered scrolling through the hundreds of pictures you put up of the gold tahoe getting the SMD treatment and thinking it was awesome that your boy was out there helping and learning. So to see him now as a man and probably older now than I was when I was poppin chubs over 4 18" BTLs (or even the DDs) in a tahoe knocking glass eyes out, it blew my mind a little bit and got me all nostalgic. Huge admirer of the level of craftsmanship and end results you produce and it's not an exaggeration to say my bucket list includes one day being able to bring a vehicle out to your shop and letting you go crazy with it. One tier down from that in the priority list of life goals is just to sit in the tahoe for a demo. So I don't know if you ever make random ass cross country trips but if you happen to find yourself in the Dallas TX area and you're hauling some bass around... HIT. ME. UP. All the best man, keep doing what you're doing.
Never apologise for ur machines running Steve, we appreciate every video you upload, and we understand that you are a busy man, thanks for doing a great job with all your great products keep grinding and keep your brand growing and thriving
Steve... I really enjoy watching you work on projects. You can just whip stuff together like it was meant to be. You've definitely given me some confidence when I work on stuff. I appreciate you taking the time to share the videos. I remember watching you work in the car port at your house. You deserve the benefits of your hard work. Thanks again !
as a Ford tech that is typical for the batteries to leak out of the caps, the batteries usually only last a couple yrs anyway as they cook to death from engine heat.
I like that you do these kinda vlog/step by step build videos. I mounted my fuse for my subs on top of my engine fuse box the same way you did, and have had thoughts about it it was something others had done. Thanks for quieting the doubts, Steve!
I am so glad to see you do a video of an install. Its been awhile and people question us daily in our shop. And I'm watching this and seeing our works is pretty damn spot on with eachother. Just nice to see another guy in the field keeping it real on install day.
What a crazy and exciting video! And, one of the most important parts to any after market project. The electrical can make or break a system. Thanks for the refresher course.
Electrician here, Look up the "ty-rap" tool. Its a really clean way of installing zip-ties., Ty-Raps have metal on the connection end, and you can use the Ty-Rap gun to install them.
Always remembering you forgot a piece of the big three. I don't mind the machines making a racket. That means you're not out of business. Baby is looking very happy. You are so blessed man. Thanks for letting us watch parts of your journey.
Steve makes awesome products and I’m fortunate enough to run his stuff in my build. But what really makes me happy is Baby! I hope he gets in the way more often lol. Thank you for what you do Steve!
If possible I'd like to buy some pieces of shrink wrap from you for my Custom PC power supply cables with Corsair logo on them? They just the bee's nuts. Just let me know how.
STEVE, can you make a video explaining and showing the difference between "STRAPPING" amps and "DAISY CHAINING" amps cause a lot of people can't hook up 4 subs and 2 amps, one amp per set of subs. I think that would an awesome "how to" and "explanation of difference" between the two methods.
Hey Steve this is one of the best most awesome videos that you made test novice that are still learning and watching these born videos to a lot of people are or this amazing to people like me I like this type of videos so thank you for your hard work
Great video man. Love how you do your wiring. I see a lot of criticism in your videos by people that probably don’t even know the first thing about installing a car stereo. People that don’t have anything better to do with their time. They can always turn the video off.
Very cool to see all the professional work on a project like this, especially on a 6.7 PSD F250, and I really like the "Ford" logos you printed on the cable connector covers. You keep it simple but professional, the best!
This video was very informative as to how I’ve watched so many people over the years hook up wiring wrong as hell so when I begin to do my rebuild on my system I will do it correctly this time and most likely have way less issues from it this video is straight to the point just like I like it great job yet again Steve
Steve the dealer fills the battery to high and that’s why you have corrosion you can see the stains on the battery so check those battery caps make sure there sealed
Damn bro the big Ford is coming along good, shidddddddd Ford themselves would be proud of the wiring job you did making it look like it was done in the factory...
I love that pearl jam is playing while your working that's my favorite band. I've got 1 12 Treo xs sub with a 1500 monoblock Treo amp. I've had the setup for 9 years and it's still running good. Love watching your videos also man.
I really respect the fact that you guys were listening to the black gives way to blue album on the towers! XD saw them live at DTE when that album came out.
Can I ask why you put the cable from the alt to the fuse plate vs the battery? I’m about to do mine and curious. Will it still help the battery in that location ?
That is a big truck. I seen one of those trucks at Home Depot and it made my suburban look like a damn four door escort lol. You did an amazing job as always.
Meade you make it look to easy , and we know it isn't, I have a f350 lifted 10in so it's really going to be fun to do the big 3,lol, but I wish that I lived in your state I'd bring my truck to you.
Great video as always. I really can’t wait to see how you are going to connect the new system up to the factory deck. I have the same truck and want to do a system like this but I’m not sure how to get the signal from the factory. I can’t even get anything to turn on if I disconnect the stock amp. 😡 man it’s frustrating. Not like the old days when you just plug and play.
@meade916 your batteries are probably overheating and venting out the caps, mine did the same damn thing and I just threw in some Optimas to get me by.
Unlike alot of ppl, u took the cover off to screw down the new fuse holder, I honestly can't tell you how many drywall screws I have removed from customers fuse block cover AND fuses cause they just set it there and ran a screw through it and through the fuse beneath it lol.
Looks like someone is getting ready to be the next “ dr Dre beats “ of car audio like Chrysler and other company’s. way to go if ya make it, either way way to go! Been watching since the civic.
Def an awsome truck . Good shyt bro.... I was to cheap for a crimper so I improvised a long time ago on my power wires I'll get the matching terminal on my 0... I'll flip it up in a vise add alittle flux... heat the terminal with a torch as I'm puddling in solder to the brim and dip my power wire in hold it for 10secs. .. it kinda became a habit and awsome and I've stuck with it.. working on diesels and owning one them cables are mandatory for your starting system 🤘badass 6.7 bro...

what kind of cutter did you use to cut that wire??
God Bless you and Family. Salute #SMD
How can I get in touch with this guy...potential work but I'm not in California....any giveaways or donations you want to do?
I know it's a LONG video just showing wire..imagine how it was to do the work while filming and then spending 7 hours editing when you get home. I love this but it is work! I appreciate everyone who watches, especially if you watch the entire thing! Thank you!

Doing it correctly , and work business on top of it then editing you are showing what quality hard work is done , no short cuts!
I'm glued from start to finish.
Thank you for your time scrubbing all this content together.
Ive watched this like 7 times now. Just entertaining to me. As i have the 2017 f150 and needed ideas for the big 3 and fuse block position
I wish there was a shop like this near me that does such quality work. The attention to detail is second to none!! Mind Blown
Same bro!!! I’d be willing to pay 5-10 grand for a superb system but I can’t trust any shops in my area (vista CA)
Try here in Southern Maryland. The shops in my area are laughable and all the reputable shops went out of business because of how new cars come with decent sound systems stock and people are cool with what they put out.
Honestly!
Same here. None of the audio shops here carry 0/1
Just order it online, smdh.
Hey man don’t apologize for the noise, you have a business to run and money to make , you run those machines anytime you need to and we’ll deal with it
"just out of the principalities of the situation"...gotta love that statement
hahahahah!!! i was wondering how many people would pick that up :D :D
Reppin the CAF shirt. Steve always throwing the love to others!
I wanted to say mad props for representing CAF. Both in car audio and both competitors. This is how everything should be. Work together!
Rivet nuts are my new favorite tools for car audio installs. They just look so clean and stock. They always look like they're meant to be there. Even for securing boxes, wiring, brackets... they work miracles for everything car related.
that was random...but thanks i guess. lol
Those ford logo heatshrinks are bad ass, good stuff sir

Yeeaahh!
Don't worry about the machines in the background it's just the sound of success. Love your videos man

I have never been jealous of heat shrink before. Now I want to cut mine off and redo it with factory logos
Don't worry about the background noise, we're all happy to hear them going, that means more product availability! Thanks for the vids Steve!

Coming along nicely! The Ford logo on the heat shrink was a nice touch as well. Really look forward to seeing this bump!
his attention to detail is on point
I seen it all now, You got a machine that cuts shrink wrap with any Logo you want, bro that's way cool.
If possible I'd like to buy some pieces of shrink wrap from you for my Custom PC power supply cables with Corsair logo on them? They just the bee's nuts. Just let me know how.
I like the heat foil as added protection for your wires...better safe than sorry
I hallucinate with the professionalism that you do everything
Above the audio game!! Heat shrinks are bad ass!👍👍
