Well done. You only missed one thing. I got pulled over in TX, same routine. At the end he stuck a thin stick into my fuel tank... checking for dyed (farm) fuel that isn't taxed. Ruined his whole day, found nothing to get me on. 🤠👍

I had the same thing coming back into the US at Plentywood Montana from Canada. But not in Texas yet.
Mostly in Texas they like the farm trucks and hang around the sale barns.
I'm sure with fuel prices climbing, he will probably get someone.
Only place ive had a dip was New Jersey. I remember when good red diesel was a quality thing at Rip Griffens
That's the nicest DOT Officer I've ever seen!
I know, really. Every one I've encountered were absolutely po'd they didn't find something. If they do, their happy as clams as they pull a 'deadly' trucker out of service for some minor violation that could easily be corrected on site within a minute.
Inaccurate depiction of the DOT inspector -- he wasn't acting like an a-hole. Points, however, for the donuts. And while I'm bitching, this is why I won't do this kind of work. I just can't deal with this level of government/bureaucratic BS. Kudos to you, Alex, for being able to.

Good video. Quick add. 1: keep fuses on the pickup. And 2: if they ask when did you check your fire extinguisher/triangles, fluids, tires, lights, the answer is "this morning." Because you should, and also, that's the law.
Spare fuses are a sign the DOT guy had a fight with his wife that morning. It is a thing, though

Nicely done. So I get pulled over in New Hampshire by a Trooper, once upon a time. And the fact first thing he asks me , is did I count my triangle reflectors when I did my pre trip today? I said no. He pulls a pad out of his back pocket and writes it down. Then he does a walk around inspection. And he didn’t fine me, but he did write up the triangle thing.
Haha got one last night in Wyoming on the the 80...passed. By the way, excellent pro tip you did on break a way being separate. They all check

Hello friend, a question when I went to register my truck they asked me how many pounds I would register it for. My question is should I tell them 26000 pounds for the truck or should I weigh all the trailer and truck and what I am missing for 26000 pounds.

It's funny 3 days ago in Kentucky they gave me a level 1 inspection and they took me out of service for having temporary Texas license plates with a new truck and a new trailer.
Alex ive been looking into hotshots since I graduated in 2015. I know several people that does it, and now im getting hired on as a company driver. Is there any way you can do an hours of service for a hotshot driver. Ill be home weekends and 90% of the nights during the week. I seen your videos explaining like the restart vs recap. I didnt get much from it.
It’s absolutely mind boggling that such common sense things that you should have in the truck ain’t even considered by most hotshots
