      @@MikaTarkela Greetings ! Well I am 65 years old and have had a few health problems and sold my Harley last April and bought a 2024 Honda NC750x DCT and absolutely love it . For me it is perfect. I did upgrade the windshield a Madstad much larger windshield. This guy's video is spot on and I can tell you once you understand and a feel for the NC it's fantastic for me. I no longer have to struggle with the weight and I get 65 to 85 miles per gallon depending on city & highway. It's a all around very practical everyday work horse. I suggest you buy one.

    Great review did the NC750 justice for sure. I used to blip in neutral all the time and almost in drive a couple times when I first got my 23’. Hard habit to break. Superb commuter and great for high traffic environment. No manual is clutch in traffic.

    Got mine last June as my first moto in 30 years. It is a great beginning / returning rider bike. That DCT is addictive and really lets you concentrate on the ride. I do not miss having to shift. Plenty peppy if you are an old man like me don't speed anyway. I ride mostly empty roads, 30s to 60 mph, get nearly 80 mpg. Wife loves it because I do the small grocery trips. You can put a lot of stuff in that frunk. Seat isn't terrible, but I did order a nice heated custom job from topsellerie in Portugal. I'll probably have a local suspension guy put in a better shock and some emulators up front. Bumps are a bit harsh sometimes. I'm 6'3" and thought the bent angle would be a problem, but although they are really pretzeled on me, I'm never uncomfortable. I didn't even bother putting the drop / adjustable pegs on it yet. Such a solid economical platform I don't mind spending a little to get it closer to perfect. At 6'3", my head is in clean air, so I left stock screen on for now.

    Fair comment, agree about the suspension, I’ve changed the front springs to progressive springs (approx £100)
    I purchased the bike in 2022, fitted crash bars, rear carrier, spots, use it for touring, camping etc.
    I will change the rear spring, it doesn’t like pot holes.
    Otherwise one of the best bikes I’ve ever had, the engine is canted low and forward carrying the weight low down.
    Mines non DCT, so lighter than this bike, but nothing wrong with DCT, I’ve had it on a VFR 1200 (Intercepter ? In the states)

    Could have been one of the GREATEST bikes on the entire marked, if Honda wasn't so STINGY 🤪👈 company..... :
    Pretty craappy + SHORTENED suspension ( front and rear ) ! ....Only 1 ( ONE ) front brake disc ! ..... Old swingarm...... Cheap instr. panel...... NO Cruise Control !!! ..... NO center stand......NO rack for top-box.....Useless windshield ! No-good front light..... They, even, managed to screw up with their useless, new Trans....750 !! - No CC, No tubeless wheels - and neither that bike is made for off-roading ( as it is - without modifications ) ! Both are commuters / tourers ☝☝🤨
    It's clear that Honda wants the customers to buy their 1100cc bikes, which are +/- better equipped. But their IQ, does not allow them to understand, that NOT every, even, wealthy customer, has a healthy back, and dreams about getting a hernia ( lifting those heavy monsters ) !
    Not every wealthy wants to throw money on unnecessary usage of fuel - as not so many NEED the 100+ Hp ! As a result - many go buy other bikes like Aprilia Tuareg, KTMs.... CF Moto..... Those - for a reasonable price, do have the needed things 🤷‍♂

    Hey bro, good honest review. I just purchased a 2023 from a guy who loved it, but ended up selling to buy the Goldwing DCT. He said it was addictive to ride, and he was right. Im loving this NC. Put a larger GIVI wind screen on, and a top case. I have fender extenders front and back, handle bar riser, cause Im only 5'8. Grip puppies are the best thing ever !! Im gonna do a review as well. Im up here in Canada. Thanks again for a great review. Cheers Stevo

    I've been watching the NC750x for a few years. I really like many aspects but I'm waiting for an 'upgrade' maybe in 2025. Suspension, brakes, available cruise control, bit more HP, improved dash and it would be a winner... IMHO.

    Nice video, how the suspension is? I want it for fun traveling in Costa Rica, most likely for 2 passenger and the back box. Will the suspension be at the bottom much or will ir hold nicely?. Will be more touring on the roads, not really off-road. Me 90kg and my girlfriend around 55 kg.

    Watch that section at ridge line rd headed towards cooks corner. I had a kid on a sport bike pass me in the bike lane. Long story short. When i caught back up to him he was dead. The lady turned left in front of him. His motorcycle cycle was embedded in the cars engine. They need a stop light right there. I ride my dual sport up Saddleback Mtn all the time. Just watch the little section right there. Happy riding.

    Man it's such a hard toss up between this bike and a 2023 V-Strom 650.
    This bike after tax title and license will be over 10K in my area, my local dealership has a V-Strom with zero mileage on rebate for $6,900 and that kind of made my mind up.
    I might wait a couple years on the NC and see if they put a TFT display and Android connect and then I'll be sold for sure.

    • @whatthefitt

    • @jimporter
      @jimporter 4 месяца назад +1

      You can change gear yourself using the finger controls either in full manual or to override the automatic (you used to be able to get a foot lever but few people bothered to fit them after they got used to the bike. If you just don’t want a clutch but just want a manual then you can go for the 650s with an e-clutch. But get used to it both BMW, Yamaha and Kawasaki are bringing their own autos or semi autos soon.

    • @SethJayson
      @SethJayson 4 месяца назад +5

      That was my thought. I ordered it anyway. Five minutes later I was glad I hadn't been able to order a manual. Wouldn't trade the DCT for anything now.

      Hello Seth, I agree. DCT makes riding a pleasure. It gives you time to enjoy the ride and actually have better control and be more relaxed. Recently went on a 1200km trip on my NC750X DCT. It didn't miss a beat and was comfortable.

  • @2wheelpartsguy
    @2wheelpartsguy Месяц назад

    Great review. It does look relatively slow/underpowered for a 750cc. Even when you were gettin on it at manual shift. Do you feel its a bit sluggish? Would you say its good for a spirited ride?

    • @tshwashere
      @tshwashere 29 дней назад +1

      I have a 2023 as well. The low power number is because it is tuned for very down low operation. It scoots from a dig surprising well, and will happily hums along at 70-80 on a highway at 3-4k. It IS the quintessential commuter bike, extremely relaxed and great for that role.
      As for spirited riding, once you learn its quirks you can get definitely get some spirited riding out of it. But realistically if that is what you’re after this is not the bike for that.
