I have a 2020 Supra but stock it was making around 370-ish hp at the crank. After an ECU flash it's now making 470whp with no engine mods. Crazy engine.
@@joko370 Really? I don't have a downpipe tune to it, but just the software upgrade alone made 470whp. I've been occasionally taking it to the circuit and driving it daily for a few years now with no issues whatsoever.
Throw a 1320 in there with the 275 drag radials and a prepped surface it would do much better. Mine ran an 11.5 at 117, stock. Has a rear seat delete, but what's that save? 60lbs?

I like this channel for the realism, some people don’t know how to line up, some people dont know to drag or roll there vehicles. This channels shows all of that which is real , i see people not knowing/understanding in the real world often.
Sam, I think you may be in love with the Supra. It's on the channel more than any car I've seen, but that's not a bad thing, of course. I'll never get tired of seeing a Supra rip down the strip.
If Toyota drops their partnership with BMW for the next Supra it’ll be a bad move. Plus, the future Supra will lose out on the HUGE aftermarket support that underpins the whole BMW power scene.
They are discontinuing the z4 platform, so Toyota has no choice unless bmw wants to give them the m car platform and Toyota jack the Supra prices way up

Seeing that the supra and mercedes were turbo cars, it would've been nice to see a hellcat challenger added to the mix because the launch would definitely be better with a boosted challenger.
Sam makes some great videos with the cars we all want to see racing each other, the editing is smooth and information provided is excellent. BUT this channel needs a better attention to details when it comes to the driving. This video is a great improvement from what we have seen in the past. Way to go!

Unfair fight, 2 turbo cars vs a naturally aspirated challenger. If you know anything about cars N/A cars need a considerable amount more horsepower and torque to even compete with forced induction.
@ 5.0 are fun cars, much more space. I like my Supra bc it’s a little more rare on the streets. I also like the mod opportunities if I ever choose to do that. If you ever do I would recommend getting a 2021 with like 25k miles or less they haven’t changed since and save some money. Also some of the 2021s and all of the 2020s they are able to more easily hack the ECU so some people care about that. I’m not certain if that has changed for the new ones it’s been awhile since I looked into it. The B58 and ZF transmission are reliable and proven.
@ the only thing is I wanted a 2023 bc I do want a MT over an automatic. But I’m just overall obsessed with the Supra. And with the newer 5.0s retailing the same as a newer Supra, the Supra is a no brainer. Faster more agile and like you mentioned. A few mods and they’re tanks!

Engines with forced induction behave differently than NA engines also, German cars historically put their SAE hp ratings at the wheels in real life, run those two against a Hellcat and see the results of higher displacement plus force induction lol

You sound like the same person that would say a scat does a 0 to 60 in the 6 second range when it's under 4.5 seconds. That's performance oriented, performance parts, high horsepower engines. They're all performance, Dodge doesn't always lose, it's actually a lot more rare for them to lose, really depends on the driver.

Supra and C63S both Turbo - Charged and Dodge Challenger is natural aspirated. No Match. If Dodge Challenger came Factory Super - Charged it be a different ending.
The AMG should go against a hellcat. Why? Because it’s force inducted. For the Supra,,,weight is a significant factor. It also appears to be more aero friendly. But,,,,,maybe it was the drivers.
The attraction is that the Challenger is a full size car that's all motor. One of these doesn't even have rear seats and the Benz is quite a bit smaller than a Challenger in the interior compartment... especially for being that close in weight AND it doesn't even come in a Manual (My buddy at work has one). I am not sure what the altitude of this race is but a forced induction motor will help if it's above SL. I wouldn't trade my Challenger for either one of these cars.. but mine is a WB, FBO, cammed, long tubes, exhaust and tuned... AND is a Manual. That said, I actually like all three of these cars. Those C63S cars are beautiful. Great video.

These races are great, to add variety to your content, it would be cool to see some 90s era sports cars racing. Or even see how a 70s muscle car stacks up against a civic type R or Elantra N dct. It would be really interesting.

Sam, why not just cut the videos of the races that got messed up. Just redo the races and put good ones in. People would rather see 3-4 tight races that ran well rather than a 3 minute speech as to why you messed up a race.

Since 70s they've never been designed for track and corners, only to be made to have fun on the streets and can only perform in the dragstrip with high acceleration. @voodoodiecast you're wrong. I've seen plenty of videos where scats destroy cars they face off against. They're tricky to launch. You sound like the same person that would say a scat does a 0 to 60 in the 6 second range when it's under 4.5 seconds. That's performance oriented, performance parts, high horsepower engines. They're all performance, Dodge doesn't always lose, it's actually a lot more rare for them to lose, really depends on the driver.

The AMG should go against a hellcat. Why? Because it’s force inducted. For the Supra,,,weight is a significant factor. It also appears to be more aero friendly. But,,,,,maybe it was the drivers.

The attraction is that the Challenger is a full size car that's all motor. One of these doesn't even have rear seats and the Benz is quite a bit smaller than a Challenger in the interior compartment... especially for being that close in weight AND it doesn't even come in a Manual (My buddy at work has one). I am not sure what the altitude of this race is but a forced induction motor will help if it's above SL.
I wouldn't trade my Challenger for either one of these cars.. but mine is a WB, FBO, cammed, long tubes, exhaust and tuned... AND is a Manual.
That said, I actually like all three of these cars. Those C63S cars are beautiful.
