The easiest way to store my mats and keep the cover on them. I have a command strip hook medium size. I have it on the back side of the door. You simply place the mat the hook first and then the clear cover, it will fall into place every time. The tumbler holder. I use a small pool noodle I cut 2 identical sizes. I placed a rubber band at the top and bottom to hold them together. Works good with cup/tumblers
I put the sticky part of the mat under the machine and lay the plastic on the door. Easy to position the plastic without touching the mat, and once you are sure, push down.
Thank you Angie for mentioning that smart vinyl can be challenging. For years I have thought it was just my failure. It has been one reason I have hesitated on upgrading and purchasing the maker 3.
I should try the yardstick. I've used the empty vinyl rolls underneath and they usually gers pushed off the table by the mat. Sometimes, I I put my brayer under and that works
I saw somewhere else about putting the mat in the slot on the Maker to line up the mat and have been doing that a while now. It really helps me. I'm terrible at lining things up! I will definitely try the heat gun on the vinyl. Especially the smart vinyl. I always have trouble with that. Thank you for testing these out!
New sub from UK .I do like the the card up-sidedown hack . Love your Bright green Explora 2 .I have a Yellow one ..got him 3 years ago. that all I have . Happy craftingxxxxxx
Hubby bought pvc pipe, joints and pipe insulation to make my cup holder. Its awesome and cost less than $8 to make. We had enough insulation for more. You can also grab a pool noodle from dollar tree, in place of insulation, if you want to save more money.
Thanks for sharing these hacks Angie. Now I know what works and what doesn't. There are a ton of hacks out there, just have to find the ones that work for us. Or like Linda says stick with the tried and true methods. Either way have fun crafting!!
I use the sticky lint roller successfully, although sometimes it is too sticky and I have to dull it down. In fact, on the label of the roller it shows this hack!
Thank you for sharing the hacks. Perhaps you could help me with a problem I just ran into. I used transparent printable sticker vinyl and printed several stickers with an offset to make sure I didn't have any small areas to weed. But I could not get them to release off the transfer tape. I didn't try the heat and perhaps that would have worked. But any suggestions could really help.
I am trying to print your free full wrap design for a mug, I have an Epson 170 but when I try to load the 8.5 x14 paper, the paper is too large for the tray.and hangs out. Can you help?
I think the tray hanging out is okay on that printer. I have so many printers it is hard to keep it straight but I think that is the way it works with that one.
Using a lint roller as transfer tape does not work with Cricut vinyl. I have used it successfully with oracle vinyl. I actually used this method to decorate tiles on a bathroom floor. 😊
Angie, I trust your instincts!! You are the expert I truly trust!!! You've never steered me wrong yet!!!

The heat gun and a
cardstock upside down tips were new and sound like good tips to me. Thanks 😊

Get the Maker 3 you will love it! 😊
Also, you may have to use non-Cricut materials like I do to get the results you want..
It had gotten soooo much better over the years but I still have some old stuff to work through!
Oh my gosh-the yardstick hack is a GAMECHANGER!! I had been using the arm of my office chair when cutting 12x24-a yardstick will work MUCH better!!😊
Glad it was helpful!
I enjoy watching your channel. Keep posting.
I appreciate that!
Thank you Angie. Loved watching this video, and I love the cardstock one the best!!!
Thanks so much 😊
Love the yardstick idea. Thanks for testing for us.
Any time!

Love the yardstick hack! My cricut is on a small table with not much area in front of it.
Wonderful!
Hi, sounds to me like the smart vinyl is the problem, not necessarily the different transfer tapes. I think I'll stick to my 12" wide vinyl.

I've been doing #2 for years on my Maker & it works like a charm every time!!! 🥰 I also made a cup holder for under $10 w/PVC pipe & pool noodles.
That is awesome!
Can you share a pic of your holder?

I could NOT get it to work!!
Just got a heat gun. Have been struggling with my smart vinyl so anxious to try the heat gun on next project
Hope it works!
Thanks for sharing this.
My pleasure!
Hi Angie is there a way to do tumblers.
Are you asking for the glowforge? There is not!

I usually don't use transfer tape with printable sticker papers. You can try making it less sticky by sticking it to your shirt before use.
Hopefully you make a video with hacks actually work is more productive and time saving
I have several but start here: ruclips.net/video/jk8JXTYQJxc/видео.html
I like to see the fails as well as the good ones because you know when you see it or think of trying it you know if it will work or not!!!

What heat gun do you use?
I have tried many and they all work about the same. The low temp one is made for embossing.
Ty for sharing i do have or use tik tok
No problem 😊
How can you use your cutting machine on a shelve against a wall?
For me, I pull them off to use them as I need to film them during use. So the setup works for me.
I use painters tape
Awesome to see the face behind the emails 🙋🏽♀️🙋🏽♀️hi
