I just found this site. I have had several Cricut’s. My grandchildren loved coming over to use the Cricut. We made all kinds of things. Unfortunately the last Cricut I upgraded to has just been sitting in storage. I had so much trouble figuring out how to use it. After watching several of your videos I’m now rethinking about trying to learn it and I’m very interested in the JOY after watching your videos. Thanks for creating great encouraging videos. ❤gayle
I didn't know you could send the grid mat upside down through the machine. Wondered every time I used my Cricut Explorer. Now I can stop wondering. But thank you for this thoughtful video. I learned a great deal.
This video was a great help for me. I just got my Explore Air 2 and didn't know about the different materials it would cut. I didn't know where to look because I'm a complete newbie to the Cricut world and Design Space. Thank you very much for all the information you've shared. :)
I need to start making cricut videos. This stuff is cricut 101, I have some REAL hacks that will blow your mind, hell I know how to make deactivated machines work.
@chrisbethel7108 , I, for one, would certainly be interested in hacks that go beyond this video's area of knowledge. You can reactivate machines??!! Colour me very intrigued! How can I obtain this knowledge? Can you recommend a blog, or anything?
I wish my Maker would actually print than cut. I ended up buying a Silhouette Cameo 4. It is way easier to use their Print than Cut feature. I can also cut larger projects on the Cameo 4 too. I need Cricut to do better.
Maybe look into the brother scan and cut machines? I have one, I like it, I wanted to be able to load my own stuff, including sewing patterns. Any video on cricuts leave me confused. Scan and cuts are much easier to use.
@@andreamaclachlan980 I am going to have to check into the Brother Scan and Cut as well. The next machine I have will have a lot more research put into it. My Cricut was gifted to me, but I am definitely hoping to upgrade with my next machine...in more than just price and size capability. Of course, those will be factors, but more significantly will be it's diversity, tech, and it's ability to be a bit user friendly. I don't need fairly simple operations drawn out and made more complex!! Arghhh! 😫
Am I the only newbie to Cricut who is totally lost? I got a Cricut 3 for Christmas and only had a week afterward to try and learn how to use it before the spring semester started. I looked at a few videos, but didn’t have time to do anything. I turned down teaching this summer so I could get rid of decades of too much stuff, as well as rebuild my craft room (almost finished) and learn how to use the Cricut 3. How do I begin again?
I certainly hope they fixed the custom cut settings wirh this last update! Last month I spent 3 days with tech support and ruined 2 cutting mats because of issues with the custom settings. I'll have to test it out and let you know.
I forgot about the USB port on the side of my Maker. Thanks for reminding me! I am definitely going to check out how to do print then cut on my Joy. That would be really cool! Sometimes it's just more convenient for me to use my Joy. Thanks for all the tips!

Yes, I knew them all except the Joy one but I don't have one so it wouldn't matter. I would never leave my dial on custom. It's just extra unnecessary steps to always have to look for and find whatever product you are using. Time is money
Great video! Thank you for all your work and putting this video together. We are new to the Cricut maker and are excited to learn so much about this and you have been very helpful to get us even more excited!! Great job!!!
Glad I wat hed this. I've been a member for years, I learned a few and was reminded of a few tips. Caught my attention about embroidery. Then I said ok I knew that cause I do embroidery with an embroidery machine. I got my maker to be able to cut out embroidery ornaments, but I haven't figured out how to change files. Go from a vp3 to a svg or reverse. Does anyone know? Thanks for sharing these tips and it's in my saved .
🙋🏼♀️QUESTION...The tip for being able to cut longer than 24 in. using smart vinyl...is that only for the maker 3 and joy ..or could we place the smart vinyl on the mat to get it started? Or?
I have the explore air 2 and tried to change the knob instead of just doing it on screen and it was horrible. I think that knob is for decoration only.
What are the best replacement blades for the explorer 2 the ones that I purchased did not cut all the way through my vinyl. Next question is with the difference vinyls how do I know once I open it and store them away, keep up with the properly cut out, weed out, heat and press and peel the vinyl without wasting so much of my vinyl😊
For some reason my hamburger tab is not on my canvas tab in my Cricut workspace. I need to recalibrate my machine for cut print and cut projects. Do you know how to get it back or find it?

I've have my Cricut Maker for 3 years now and I am still learning. This video is very informative! I want to cut a long triangle shape that is 3/8 at the wide end (top) and 1/4 at the other end (bottom) and 11.5 inches in length. Do you know if using two different measurements on one single strip is even possible with Circuit Maker? I only see an option to change the dimensions for width and height. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks!
Thank you for the great information. I am curious about tip #9 and being able to print longer than 24". Is that a feature that can be used on the Explore series Cricut?

I just bought the you suggested. Put one in and the tip doesn’t go far enough to reach anything, so how can I print with that my doing something wrong?
Did you unlock the holder before putting the marker in? If you stick it in the hole without unlocking first, it can’t go all the way down like it’s supposed to.
@@WritePassionFaves sure did, only a small bit of the tip is exposed. I’m so confused. Well I guess I’ll stick to taking the inside price out and use a pencil grip or something.
