I have no reason to have watched this video. I just had YT videos on autoplay, but when I started listening to your message, your heart was verbally seen! You are so giving so caring, such a gem. The craft community is blessed to have you as a leader. Well done. PS Im a newbie, I do have a cricut joy which I'm super annoyed with its DS app but so relieved it's not just me. You have another dedicated sub here who is in hopes of learning the ropes from you and your team and to just have more patience 😊
hey Team, you can change the Grids also, when you click to the top left small rectangel. I can't add a picture...when you look to the scale.... near by the 0 ..... 🙂
To turn images into cut files I use Adobe Illistrater to make SVGs. It's a bit of a learning curb but it's way better than the 2 ways shown here. There are no jagged pieces and no mistakes.
Lauren, I love how you explain everything so well. But did you know that when you are doing an offset, you can click on the dot that scales it and while your curser is on the dot, you can use your left & right keys on your keyboard to scale it? I use it all the time now.
I never knew about using flatten for print and cut ...wow game changer. I also tested out a print and cut using unite and OMG it worked also for what I needed to print and cut. Only problem i had was that my using unite my printer basically printed out my design that was a white design. When I used white on white design offset and flattened it, only the offset cut out, not the design. What could I do to print and cut only the design only.
i REALLY wish Cricut would give us an option to make the grid line thicker or darker..i am legally blind and i use my Cricut less and less......once i enjoyed it..now i find it more of a frustrating chore.
Thank you so much for this tutorial! I had been frustrated and you clarified it perfectly! I am learning so much from y’all! Y’all are amazing teachers!
Rename was the best hint ever! Now I will be able to navigate my layers panel easier. All those layers when I am designing can be annoyingly confusing.
I thought weld was for turning two images, overlapping in some way, into one. I don't understand why you would use weld for text, or for images that aren't touching. Can anyone explain for me? Thanks.
Weld is to make 2 or more images together as one, they dont have to be touching. Use weld over attach when you will never need to change/edit the image, it will be permanent. Hope this helps a little!
Honey all well and good regarding design space and how to,as the next thing you know Cricut design space has another update to load and have to learn all over again. Ya'll are great and appriciate. However sometimes new glitches happen in design space once downloaded. Can't they leave alone what works instead of justifying there jobs. lol
Hi! You said that you can try the subscription for 30 days for 1.00, but the link only says for 7 days? Is this a glitch, or is that no longer the case? Thanks!
@makersgonnalearn Thank you for letting me know. Hoping for another opportunity as I work two jobs and have limited time. Thank you for letting me know. 😊
I bet Design space didnt know charging people extra to use the most common basic shapes goes against copywrite law and is illegal. You cant copywrite the Letter "O" and sell it, nor can u sell a circle or triangle or cressent moon. And why do they say "{Dont mirror the image" when its sometyhing that everyone has to do,, unless you like throwing away vinyl. This hobby cant really exist without mirroring cause your txt will be backwards. There hope is that "Newbies" waste some vinyl and hAVE TO BUY MORE SOONER. But what it relly does is make people leave the hobby o the first day and lose money

I haven't tried illustrator, but I use Adobe Express and it's so easy. Does it work better in Illustrator?
Hey live in Albuquerque, New Mexico...❤
In beta version the text is terrible for me it's so slow and makes it freeze.

Amazing! You cut through all the "word-y" stuff and make it easy to understand. I am still learning, but this makes it much easier. Thank you!
You're welcome!

Fantastic!
Will design space ever make it where you can edit the nodes/points? rather than having to use a different workspace like Inkscape or Affinity designer
Loved this video! Learned soo much Thank you!
You are so welcome!

Thanks. Yes, I can see where you might want to make sure it's permanent so weld is the right move there. :) @@whatthefairuse

Hello my friend! Here watching at work.
Love this.. Thank you, very helpful
Glad it was helpful!
REALLY Good stuff!!
How do I change my grid if I don't have the same layout on my design space?
Hi! You said that you can try the subscription for 30 days for 1.00, but the link only says for 7 days? Is this a glitch, or is that no longer the case? Thanks!
The free trial for 30 days is no longer available but you might want to consider joining our 7 days trial for $1.
@makersgonnalearn Thank you for letting me know. Hoping for another opportunity as I work two jobs and have limited time. Thank you for letting me know. 😊
I LOVE MGL!!!

I don't see where I can sign for 1 dollar
Just look at the video description underneath....where it says more, it will pop up a section where it has the link for a dollar.
Enjoy. ❤

You don’t have to mirror anything unless you are using HTV.
