This video has just elevated me to a new level with my cricut machines. I have ordered everyone of them and cannot wait to use them Thank you so much for taking the time to share ❤🎉😊
Since I learned that Cricut machines can cut fabric, I've been wondering what if you cut a white polyester fabric with interfacing like Heat Bond, and sublimated that and put it on dark or non polyester fabric instead of using HTV? How well would it hold up compared to using HTV?
This video is exactly what I was looking for! I really needed an explanation for each blade and you nailed it!!!! Thank you so much for the great explanations!
Amazing video! I had no idea! I just got my cricut and am trying to find graphics and how to use design space. I have made some labels, but struggle knowing what cutting option to use for the 3 vinyls I have. I have to cut over 2 times so the vinyl will cut through. The permanent shimmer option does not cut shimmer vinyl. 😕 This is frustrating
Hi, II'm wondering to buy a new knife blade. Is it possible if I use the same housing from the fine-point blade? If so, it would be better for me. Thank you in advance
Just brought the engraving tool and the embossing tool, so this video has been very helpful, you always explain things very well, thank you so much for this wonderful video and tips and info!!! Hugs Liz x
I bought a new brand of glitter vinyl and all I got was a mess with my fine tip blades and it gunked up the housing that now I have to replace. No way to open it up and clean it out. Which housing and blades will be best for glitter vinyl? Right now that is what I cut most often. Thanks.
Thank you so much for this video. I am rather new to the cricut world and have been totaly confused about the blades and what they do. This was a lifesaver.
Hi, your video was extremely helpful. I am new to the cricut world and can't wait to start creating all sorts of things. I have a few questions. can I deboss leather with debossing tool and then use foil tool to make it stand out? or does foil tool do both? thank you in advance 😊
A new subbed and a brand new Cricut Maker 3 on my table, now I´m wondering why some blades have 30° - 45° and 65° angle? is that something that I have to think very hard about when buying new blades? Loved tis video and learned a lot. Thank you all the way from cold Iceland.
I've been debating getting the engraving tool, or the foil tool. I've had my machine almost a year and have been having a blast with it. I finally cut some fabric with the rotary blade even!
@vulgarshots I made a friend of mine t shirts and caps for her small business. As far as anything else, no. But part of that is people want the resin tumblers now. I don't have the things to do that, and it does t really involve the cricut. Or they want sublimation. I dont have items for that either.
@@vickiel914 nice. I am currently in the process of making a puzzle. I have my image, I have my maker setup. But apparently my blade is missing the gold gear top? The gears on the maker have nothing to grab, so it won’t cut. I guess I’m searching for that piece.
Getting ready to sell one of my Cricut machines, and came across a housing that is teal in color. I have no clue what it is for. Your can also twist the top, and has settings numbered 1-6. Is this possibly a discontinued blade?
What a useful video!!! Thanks :) I just wanted to say 1 thing. I am a teacher so I can't help myself... perforation is pronounced purr-fuh-ration. No hate or shade!
Hi, great video.. you mentioned a bonding to put on your fabric to keep it nice and steady for when its time to cut it. I cannot find the link to the product you mentioned we should use. Can you suggest something for me? Thank you in advance :D
@@DesignBundles Hi Dawn. My daughter gifted me the foiling tool and three boxes of different small fouls, like maybe 4x4 size pieces. To me it looks like it might kinda like emboss the foil onto something.

We've read that Cricut often does often make different variations of the housing, but it's the blade that matters for the cut. and not the housing color - Dawn
Good video, but I didn't see where your explained the difference between the silver and gold BLADES. I saw what your said about the different housing, but wanted to hear the difference between the gold premium blade and the fine point blade, other than the price. TIA!
Hi Lorri! They are the same thing so no need to get both. Cricut simply changed the housing to gold. The Premium Fine Point Blade comes in either the gold or the silver housing. - Dawn
Good day. I hope you can help me. I have a project I want to make. I want to cut out a circle with a dragonfly on the edge of the circle but when I cut it out with my cricut explore air 2 it cuts the dragonfly in half where the circle and dragonfly overlap.
Hi Ty! The Cricut Engraving Tip is only compatible with the Cricut Maker machine because the Maker is the only machine that uses the Adaptive Tool System and can apply the amount of pressure necessary to engrave. - Dawn
Hi just wondering if anyone can help. I have a new blade that came with the explore 3 and I'm trying to do kiss cut stickers on vinyl sticker paper. I've tried various settings and custom setting at the lightest pressure at 70 but it still cuts all the way through the backing. Any advice would be much appreciated 😁
@@DesignBundles Hi thanks for getting back to me, I've tried sticky notes, washi tape, washi sheet settings also a custom setting on the lowest allowed pressure same result

The rotary blade is also what you use when you cut crepe paper for making flowers. It is the only blade that really does a great job for this
