thanks for video. i am plan to buy machine only for cut acetate which machine should I purchase and which blade should I buy thanks for sharing your knowledge ❤
Hi, I'm wondering to buy a new knife blade. Is it possible if I use the same housing from the fine-point blade? If so, it would be better for me. Thank you in advance
Thank You :) Great video ... Awesome details :) I do have a question though, regarding the cricut explorer 2 blades .... My E2 came with a 'Fine Point' blade and a housing (for it) .... my question > .... Can I put the 'Deep Point' blade into the Fine Point housing? or ... Do I have to purchase a new housing, that is only suitable for the Deep Point blade ....? :) Thank You :)
Any idea if cricut will ever let us edit kmife blade settings or even make our own custom materials settings with it? I'm trying to cut both basswood and chipboard on my maker 3 and n ok ne of the preset materials are giving me the results I need.
Thank you so much for doing these and with the reviews to I did get to machines myself I got the joy and then I got explorer Air 2. And I did see all the needle housings and then I know that there are the newer machines so I take that and consideration too I've yet to explore everything I can do with the machines but I appreciate you going through the needles because I couldn't cut iron on vinyl I needed the black deep cut and I did purchase the pink fabric because I already had the gold fine point. This is what I'm saying Thank you for your review on the engraving cuz I did see that silver engraving one and I did notice that pen engraver too and some pictures and then the copper bronze top with the changeable bottom tips I saw those which I know the current newest one does accept those I think there was some for the explorer Air 2 but that's yet the cone Thank you for reviewing those though for me I appreciate it
I just bought the gold housing blade and I use it only for fine cutting. The pink one is for paper and the silver one is for vinyl. I have a cricut debosser, engraver, rotary cutter, knife and deep cut blade as well as the foiler for my maker. I have at least 2 mats of every stickiness. I keep my blades in a housing similar to yours but mine is rectangular. I keep my extra blades in the drawer of my machine along with the scoring stylus. I love my maker. I will never ever buy another explore.
Hi I have a cricut maker which I use quite frequently. However my machine has never been able to detect the rotary tool. Not sure why. Have you ever experienced this?
My guess would be that you don't have the rotary tool at all but rather one of the scoring wheels. However if you don't think this is the case, I would contact Cricut.
I have the original Cricut Maker, I have to change my blade after every thing I cut, my friends say this is not normal. If I cut a quote on a 6” piece of vinyl or cardstock, I have to change the blade before I cut anything else or it absolutely won’t cut, I go thru 5-6 blades just doing one project and it gets expensive, any thoughts on why this is?
That is not right. Are you sure it is the blade? A common mistake is changing the blade when it is other factors. First, clean your blade with aluminum foil to make sure it is not dirty. Second, it is more likely your mat that is the issue. You material needs to be down really well for a cut. Then check your settings. Make sure you are changing those for the type of material you are using.
@@AngieHolden thank you for this information. I have another question for you. What is the difference between the engraving tip and the debose tip? I'm wanting to engrave a message on my image and want it imprinted so that I can then go over it with “Brass Black”.

Acetate will cut with any of the machines and works with the fine point blade that will come with the machine.

The knife blade does not fit in the same housing as the fine point blade.
How do I use the score pen with the venture? It’s so small and won’t fit in a or b but it’s to big for any housing
It will go in the pen housing side.
Hi. How do I turn off he products ad that is blocking 1/3 of your video screen. Thabks
There is usually an X in the corner or the word "close" that you can click at any time!
Hi! What do you recommend for a maker machine to put a design on faux leather???
To cut a design, the fine point blade will work fine.
Thank You :) Great video ... Awesome details :)
I do have a question though, regarding the cricut explorer 2 blades ....
I would do a new housing for the deep point.

They will not because it risks damage to the machine. You can cut all the way through your mat and into the machine itself.
Could you use the ones with wheels on top with the older models of makers? I have the original one.
You can use those on the Maker and Maker 3.
Thanks for your nice review
I bought a bonded fabric housing for paper only (pink for paper) while my fine point is for vinyl only.
Great idea!

Happy to help!
the blades are so many lol but that is good so you can do more
Yes. How often do you think you need to replace the blade?
Actually not very often. It depends on a lot of factors but the problem is usually your mat not being sticky or the wrong cut setting not your blade.
Thanks for doing this very helpful Angie! Hugs Liz 😊
Glad it was helpful!

Hello. Can the deep cut blade cut wood?
It can cut wood veneer (which is paper thin sheets of wood) but not anything thicker. The knife blade and the Maker is what cuts thicker wood pieces.
I purchased my maker from cricut and did not get a rotary blade
Maker comes with a rotary blade but Maker 3 does not.
@@AngieHolden thank you

Thanks for the breakdown

This just happened to me and it’s not available in any stores. I’ll have to order one online

Are you using the original Cricut blade?
@@monaelmeligy2919 Yes, I always use Cricut brand which is what makes it become so expensive

What blade do you recommend for my maker 3 to cut on circuit metal?
Cricut metal is only for engraving and not cutting. You can use engrave tip to engrave it but you can't cut it.

You are such a great teacher👏👍👍.
