Perfect now I don't rely on a whole cloth Simulation for modeling fabric. I can use that to put a mesh to another and than do the cloth sculpt tool directly. ☺️
@@CALndStuff that's exactly how currency works.. $10 is $10, for me, a South African, to pay you so that you receive $10 I would have to pay +- R180 depending on exchange rate at that moment..
Everything this channel promotes has a cost. And is an expensive cost for the purpose... if I made money from this, I would not even try to use "blender" for it... I would rather buy Houdini or Cinema 4d but there they are, selling things to the users of the open source, "free" 3D program _blender,_ converting blender into another slot machine hungry of money.
Shrinkwrap makes the wrapped object 2d. You CAN achieve this effect by putting a Lattice object between the source and target objects, then adding a Lattice modifier to the source object, set it to use your Lattice. Then add a Shrinkwrap modifier to the Lattice and set it to the target object.
@@TheCGEssentials They will be paid, but in a one-off deal, and they will be forced to accept a GNU licence. That's the plan I've heard for Blender in the near future.
@@DesertVox Where exactly did you hear this plan? And who updates the add-ons when a new version of Blender comes out to make sure they still work? Who adds new features? Does this "crowd funded organization" provide all of that labor? For EVERY add-on?
@@TheCGEssentials Like a Google Playstore. But all apps will be free. The updates would probably be by the authors, or if it's open source, it would be like other free software, updated freely with contributions from anyone. I've heard that in the most recent Blender conference. I don't remember exactly who said it.
@@DesertVox Ah - so "someone" out there will do it - I see. Possibly the developers that are no longer financially incentivized to do so because they've been bought out of ownership of the add-ons. As to the second part, that is not what was said, but at least I know where you got it

Thats cool but why not just use shrinkwarp on the blender modifier ?

All paid add-ons should be bought by a crowd-funded organization and then published with a GNU-type licence.
Seems like a great way to disincentivize anyone wanting to expand Blender and make it better - good thinking
