started watching your PS tutorials a few years ago, I shouldn't be surprised that your blender tutorials are just as good. Your explanation style really is top notch.
Thank you. I'm glad that you also like my Blender tutorials.
Ikr?
I knew about the lattice modifier but I didn't know you could use it to bend stuff... Literally just the video title saved me from a lot of work. Thanks!
that is the most beautifull use of a shrinkwrap modifier ive seen by far. It so satisfying to see it work nicely
This is perfect for bending labels around bottles/jars! Shrinkwrap modifier + Bend modifier are really tricky to get right without lattice
Just what I needed
Amazing! I’d been looking for something like this for almost 2years now and finally have a solution to my problem.
Tysm
As a loong time Blender user, I never thought about doing that, so simple but so damn powerful! Great explanation! 👍
Perfect explanation.
thank you very much for this perfect tutorial , please keep going
awesome - works perfectly - was able to bend a complex mesh onto a ring - THANKS
Many thanks, mister !
Wunderbar! Wirklich, wirklich gut erklärt und präsentiert.
Fantastic!!! Thank you for this!
I had no idea about the lattice. Great tutorial!
Nicely explained. Thanks
Great tip! Very useful ❤
I did not know what the lattice did before this, I do now
Great tutorial!
Great! Many thanks!
Wonderfull tips!Thanks for sharing!
Oh my god man, you saved me so much time! A millino thanks!
Thank you
This strategy video is going to change my life. merci beaucoup ❤❤❤
My god.. your are a master.. thank you for the knowledge.. 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
Oh this is how conform object add-on does it. Thanks for the knowledge. :)
I have been searching for wrapping an object around another for a long time. Thanks for making such very very useful tutorials. Namaste from India 🙏
Dang that was cool!
great info, thanks!
sir. you are amazing. THANK YOU!
Awesome tutuorial
AMAZING!!!
thank you! blender have a lot of secrets to make job efficiently and fast
Ok, my hats off to you, much more clever than I!
awesome, thank u a lot!
Excelente. Gracias
Wow didn't even know you're doing Blender tuts besides PS. Don't know since when but i came across this video/channel today and glad i did, awesome and great work as always def sub to this channel as well

Ur a god, thanks bro!
This video deserves 1000+ like❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Thanks you.
Just what I needed. Giving you a like right now ;). Thank you, sir.
Thank you, very useful
You're welcome💪🏻
that's pretty cool actually... heheheh
i might try smth like this for some accessories some time
Магия существует ) Благодарю Вас за урок )
This seems to work similar to the Conform Object plugin, which I still have not been able to grasp all its parameters. This is much simpler, yet very effective method. Great tutorial, Thank you.
thanks
amazing
beautifull
Thanks. Didn't know the lattice can be in one dimension.
Cool THX
Cool stuff
love you
Nice, thanks 👍🏻
You're welcome💪🏻
How is this different from using the Surface Deform modifier?
WOW, i never thought I can use modifire on lattice...
awesome
Nice 👍
Thanks for sharing, that's great! Have you tried or know of the vertex group method as another way to get a similar result? It's pretty good too, and might be another useful technique. I used that method in my Retro Ray Gun video 😊
Well done🎁🔥🍩🇺🇸😎🤔💰🤞🖖😂🦫👏👍🏆💪👌🤘
Don't know if you have it on the list of tutorials you have in mind. I would love one that went in depth on the shrink wrap modifier.
I was thinking it might be good to use on a character to create a copied shape only, so it can be turn into a statue. The statue can then have the polygons reduced before applying a texture, which I do know how to do. Just haven't been able to wrap my head around shrink wrap.
top!
I will tried this, I've been searching how to make manhwa like fancy stairs (those with ornament railing) which looked soo easy when modeled in sketchup but not in blender (it's WAY too "subdivision" detail to have good results) 😭.
I've search many tutorials and hopefully this will be my best solution 🤞
Can we use this with our labels
very nice, how do you make the deformed mesh stay the same after you delete the lattice? (parent)
What do I do to shade smooth if I use classic Blender controls (right click to select, left to move 3d cursor)?
i missed the part where you made the lattice an object and ended up just choosing lattice deform on the parenting option it seems to work any reason one way would be better than the other ?
Just wondering how to deform like debossed? Please help @3Dnot2D
HI, I'M WONDERING,
WHICH PROGRAM DO U USE TO RECORD THE SCREEN ?
interesting, I think you helped me, I'm trying to put fish scales, but I do it in fusion 360, today I worked for 5 hours, I put about 500 of them, I still have about 1000 fish scales left, fusion has nothing like lattice, almost he has to turn each fish scale and manually place it on the body of the fish, this method of yours seems simple to me, nicely explained, but I don't like one thing, you took the simple shapes of a ball and a circle and glued them to each other, you should have taken a slightly more complicated shape and one and others, if I understood correctly, in this way, any texture can be placed on any object? I'm not your subscriber, but I received a notification and a video that could help me haha, thank you
ngl this 100% looks better than using shrinkwrap
Conform object addon is a much better choice because your method will work on sphere only
great ! Question when I modify lattice my object change it's shape I applied all transform but it keep happen Help
nandri
Yea but now the lattice mesh is showing in the render how do I get rid of it without losing the modifier?
really grateful for this!!! sdhjfgakjshdf thank you so much!!
How much geometry on window do you need to have that result? If the window is low poly, it won’t work as well as you did, right?
Right. More geometry, better for wrapping it around. But you need to find the lowest amount thay works for you.
I use blender for 3D printing. Can I convert this to a manifold printable object?
Yes, apply all the modifiers, boolean them together. And if you have 3d print toolbox add on (of course you have youre making models for 3d printing right? ) in the toolbox click make Manifold under clean up option
I tried doing your Tutorial and it keeps breaking when I move it around the floor. It just stretches out when near the floor 😟
Hi
Thank you
I tried to replicate your method and it all worked as you described however when i tried to apply the modifier it returned an error message ie "cannot apply modifier to object type"
Sincerely
Ejike
👍👍🙏🙏🙏
Antonio Banderas in an alternate universe:
Why not try using mesh deform modifier
I got my computer and I download blender but I sadly don’t know how to model I mean I kinda do but I need to do more practice and I’ll be a pro
I know you from somewhere? Right photoshop tutorial...
Yup!
🌹🌺✌
You know, it would be nice if people would take the extra five seconds to say what those hotkey shortcuts were actually for. Some of those have to be turned on, sometimes they just don't work because blender wants to be a steaming pile of shit, and actually knowing the names of this stuff in the menus can be kind of more important than just being able to follow a rote pattern.
That's what part of what helps to understand what is actually going on and apply things to other tasks instead of just putting a circle on a sphere. It also makes a video relevant if updates change aspects of the interface.

Hey mate, looks like another channel has ripped off this tutorial (and at least one more) - directly using your audio. ruclips.net/video/7N3ZSZOzzfw/видео.html, www.youtube.com/@OnyxStudio818/videos
Thanks for letting me know. Will report it. 💪🏻
We already saw a tutorial nearly identical to this a while ago, why you copy him and not make your own idea
Everyone makes tutorials about the same thing because each person explains how to do it differently. Thats like criticizing others for making a tutorial on how to draw when someone already did it first.
Also, “We”? Speak for yourself. I haven’t seen a tutorial about this before.
@FutureWarrior8k You clearly don't watch many tutorials then if tou haven't saw this before. How can you say uts explained differently if you haven't saw the other one?? Lol
I also understand people can do things but in a different way but when it's practically identical that's what annoys me. Why not help a fellow youtuber and at least link the other tutorial and give credit.
Not criticising anyone just stating the obvious!
@@RenderRevolution indeed you’re right, I don’t watch many tutorials. Is that a problem?
Also I can say that it’s explained differently because it’s different people. Two people can come up with the same idea, and then propose two different ways to make it happen. I may not have found the other video, but it doesn’t take a genius to understand that they may explain it differently than this person does.
I understand your frustration when people do things identically, but it’s bound to happen.
And for giving credit to other RUclipsrs about their tutorial, you’re assuming that this guy is aware that the other tutorial exists in the first place. Don’t get frustrated at someone for something they may not know unless you confirm it first.
What channel made the first one you saw? I’d like to watch it
@FutureWarrior8k not wasting anymore time with you on this matter but it was at least a month ago and if you didn't see them both then your opinion does not matter to me as it holds no weight. Certainly if you saw both then I would accept your opinion but you didn't even know and dont watch many tutorials.
Not you not watching tutorials is not a problem...... for me anyway. It will be your problem as you won't learn as fast as others who take courses and tutorials.
How do you learn if you don't watch many tutorials 🤔 anyway that's me done commenting as I have some work to do amd tutorials to watch 😉
why show what not to do for the first 2 minutes of the tut? way to waste my time...
Omfg video lasts only 6 mins, way to be ungrateful
@@manananaka i only had 6 minutes to live an the first 3 got wasted :(
amazing
