Only the front bumper vents can be made functional if you replace them with aftermarket vents-there are a few carbon fiber ones available. You will see air slats that will direct air to the front wheels.
I don't what percentage of track to road driving you are doing but if much higher on road then I would definitely stick with the standard wheels as they suit the style of the car much better - save the track wheel - tyre package for dedicated track days. Love the paint job!!!
More road driving. My only issue is that I don't have anywhere to store the wheels at home so they're in my brother's warehouse with my other car. I'll have to figure out a solution to keep them at home!

Hey man I enjoyed the video, like In Asia enjoy your ride!!!! That’s all that matters everyone always has to put their 2 cents in on whatever someone else purchases instead of respecting what others like!
Wow, I am jealous! This was a great video and I have to say I was never a fan of the look of the Supra but in that colour it looks schmick! Also think the wheels suit it too! Thanks for doing this, it is really appreciated to get honest content! Looking forward to the 'negatives' on the car. Love your number plate too :p
Nice purchase Paul...I'm one of those guys that initially was pretty 'meh' about the look of this car when i saw it first in photos and video reviews, but it has since grown on me; i saw one drive by next to my street just the other day and it was the same colour as yours and i must say it really has a street 'presence'. That BMW engine apparently has a massive tunning potential if you wanna go down that road and everyone praises how well that ZF8 auto works with the engine (i knew you wouldn't have any of that DCT jerkines ruining your drive), enjoy it mate
Enjoyed the format and your delivery so much that I liked and subscribed. Good stuff! Love the paint-work and from some angles, the wheels look really good, but I do agree that they look odd in the side profile shot of the car.
Zero interest in a Supra but l enjoy your reviews, I like the way you include "things I don't like" I doubt there has ever been a perfect car, so when reviews neglect to mention shortcoming you have to wonder if the review is just a advertisement Looking forward to more SUV reviews
Love the video & video style and love that it’s coming from a fellow Aussie. Would love to see and modification videos you do on the Supra as well. Also would like a tyre review / test
I agree on the wheels! To much R33 skyline going on with them. Good for the extra grip but you just need a rim that suits it better. It's a shame about no apple car play ect.. and the beamer gear shifter... great video though 👍
Nice format , as you mentioned the engine is wonderful .. always loved this BM engine it's so sorted . one thing I 've noticed after 1 month of ownership is seat piping on drivers cushion starting to fray .. poor leather paper thin .. keeping an eye on it for warranty Otherwise it is a fabulous car.
Well presented again Paul!! Nice pick Paul. Glad that Toyota came out form traditional concept with more ragged looking. Partial credit goes to BMW too.
You need to talk with more MKIV owners. The stock MKIV is certainly a GT - that is what it is called. It was in the class with the fun 1990's cars including the Z32, Z33, and Z34 and the 300ZX, 3000GT, RX7, NSX, and the like. The Supra was the best of the bunch - leading every category tested by the automotive press in the US (I am not as familiar with JDM models). In addition to performance, the Supra held the record for best braking performance (I think it was 0-70mph-70) until Porsche managed to top it a number of years later. The MKIV Supra was made by Toyota - not by a movie or drag cars, or drifters. It was a quantum leap above the MKIII model, and frankly all of the competition below supercars. Stop thinking that it was not all that much at the time - or even now. I have no problem with people buying this model - however they should know that it is NOT built by Toyota in the slightest. In spite of all the Toyota PR, they did next to nothing for this car except the badging, body, and some tweaks to the tuning and suspension. I am sure BMW owners will like it, but I have never bought a BMW due to their unreliability past the first few years and the difficulty in the US of getting parts and service. My experience with BMW comes from my son having owned quite a few BMW models - after their warranty was up. I wasted a bunch of time and money helping him maintain those cars. BTW - he finally grew up and does not own a BMW now. If you have not guessed, I have a 1994 Toyota Supra turbo that has some "tasteful" and tasty performance mods - with no visible mods except the FMIC and the TRD exhaust. I got it in 2000 (before the movie) and it was my daily for a number of years - in addition to me tracking the car (road courses) for 14 years. I "retired" the car from tracking a couple of years ago to a life of luxury. I may have spent up to $10K US on mods (including some later engine dress-up!) and currently have over 600 crank hp. It is tuned for just under 500rwhp for normal use at 15.5 psi boost. It would not have much problem with the new model around a road course. People that don't like this new model because they are MKIV Supra owners are not unintelligent or mean or dumb. They know the heritage of the Supra and do not like the BMW "influence" (99%) and feel that this car was not at all what we were hoping for since the FT-1 was shown. I hope you enjoy your car and may it outlast typical BMWs! (BTW - please stop referring to this car as an A90. The A80 was a Toyota chassis and this one is a J29 chassis. The Z4, coincidentally, is a G29!)
Have been meaning to ask you about those wheels on twitter, mate. I agree, they're a bit small and a bit far and furious for what is otherwise a bloody nice car. Love that colour, too. Hard to clean? I'll look forward to seeing it at the next DAD drive, once this bloody COVID business is done with!
Love your car, great colour and your video and format is perfect. So glad you addressed those wheels. I just couldn’t understand why the originals would be replaced by those ugly things but you explained that well. Those wheels belong on an old gtr or wrx not this.
Really enjoy your reviews Pavle! You know what you're talking about and passionate about cars vs it being a job. You're thorough in all aspects of the review, which is great to see. Great choice on the Supra, beautiful colour! Question, what is your favourite driving roads? I think I've seen your car around Warburton once. I could be wrong. Keep up the great work.
Thank you, Michael! Really appreciate it. Hmm, heaps of really great driving roads around Victoria! I really love the Bryant Park hill climb track in Moe - that's a great spot with some fun driving roads around it!
Nothing in the pipeline. I don’t want to void the warranty - but have been keeping a close eye on my friend’s Supra - he has done a tune, down pipe and intercooler and it sounds incredible!
Good vid man. The A90 supra is my current achievable dream car i hope to get someday. My only question is, what do you think about multi-spoke wheels such as O.Z Superturismo LMs on the supra?
It's a ripper of a car! In terms of the wheels, I hadn't really looked at other wheels on the market - there are stacks of different wheels people have been putting on these. It's hard to make it look bad.
Getting my supra end of July, can’t wait, however I will be using as a day to day car so my question is how is it really on the fuel mpg wise? I travel 40 miles a day to work and back.Secondly now you might not know the answer to this in sunny Oz! But what’s it like to drive in the rain? Being from Scotland this is going to happen....a lot. Cheers
Loving the color and the plates 😎 I'm still a bit disappointed that Toyota didn't make an effort to produce a modern 2JZ. But the engine does sound epic ✌🏾😎✌🏾
Great video! How do you feel about the power bump that the new 2021 Supra's will be getting? Would you have held off buying for a few months had you known? Also I',d be curious to hear your thoughts on the 2.0L Supra as well, do you feel like that one is worth the money? I hope you have time to answer these questions here or on the next video. Thanks.
Thanks for those great questions, Johnny! Yep, I definitely would have held off buying if I knew. But I bought this as soon as it launched in Australia in September last year. It's disappointing that Toyota made such a big change to the next model year - it's a strategy that will lose them sales in the long run because people won't be confident buying the car if they know the next year will be a big step up. Also love the sound of the 4 cylinder. Hopefully it'll push the price down so we see more of them on the road!

Wow best car I’ve ever been in, and I’ve been in a fair few, as a ex car salesman, I would say it even tops My drive in a rs6 performance!! Tesla was super smooth with surreal refinement, was blown away by the auto stopping at traffic lights 🚦 too ☺️ as soon as our new cafe opens in July and the $$$s start rolling in we will be placing our order, also I was very impressed with the sound system, would say it’s as good as the Volvo XC60 Bowers and Wilkins that I tested. I have two questions to put to you please Paul 1) I heard that Tesla come last on the JD power survey?? Have you had any issues with yours? 2) as we didn’t know Chadstone very well and only had half an hour with the car we could only try a 0 too 80 as we didn’t trust speed cameras ect in good old Melbourne, I would love to know if the seat pinning and made acceleration builds onwards from that speed or is that the main Peake/surge of power? Does it start to die down from there?? Keep up the good work mate, love the channel. 👍🏻 p.s. just got an Insurance quote $200 a month 😱shit they are expensive to insure.

So , I think , you made a great choice , even if it's so controversial .
Good one mate !
Thanks!
Hey man I enjoyed the video, like In Asia enjoy your ride!!!! That’s all that matters everyone always has to put their 2 cents in on whatever someone else purchases instead of respecting what others like!
awesome!awesome! awesome! with this beast, everytime you step in the car, the BGM pop up--"rage your dream" ! JDM FOREVER!~~
😄
LOVE the format! I'd much rather watch this kind of review than the typical boring scripted stuff Aussie journalists normally
do..
Thank you mate, really appreciate it!
Love this kind of video on the channel! I think more answered questions would be great!
Like the review, quick into the car and what is good and what is not
Wow, I am jealous! This was a great video and I have to say I was never a fan of the look of the Supra but in that colour it looks schmick! Also think the wheels suit it too! Thanks for doing this, it is really appreciated to get honest content! Looking forward to the 'negatives' on the car. Love your number plate too :p
Thanks, Grumps! Glad you enjoyed it 😁
Congrats on the car, like your honesty and great format. I agree that the wheels look to small for the design.
Thanks mate! Yes agree on the wheels too.
Love this format dude
Nice purchase Paul...I'm one of those guys that initially was pretty 'meh' about the look of this car when i saw it first in photos and video reviews, but it has since grown on me; i saw one drive by next to my street just the other day and it was the same colour as yours and i must say it really has a street 'presence'.
That BMW engine apparently has a massive tunning potential if you wanna go down that road and everyone praises how well that ZF8 auto works with the engine (i knew you wouldn't have any of that DCT jerkines ruining your drive), enjoy it mate
Agreed! There’s plenty of headrooM with that engine. One of my mates has tuned his and it’s an absolute beast!
Great choice. Looks like a BSG Cylon Interceptor, ie amazing. Can't wait to see one irl
😄
Each to their own.. Doesnt matter what car you buy, as long as you love it. No one can tell you otherwise.
Enjoyed the format and your delivery so much that I liked and subscribed. Good stuff!
Love the paint-work and from some angles, the wheels look really good, but I do agree that they look odd in the side profile shot of the car.
Thanks for joining us, Gordon! Yes that’s my problem, some angles they look good but side on they look strange.
Zero interest in a Supra but l enjoy your reviews, I like the way you include "things I don't like"
I doubt there has ever been a perfect car, so when reviews neglect to mention shortcoming you have to wonder if the review is just a advertisement
Looking forward to more SUV reviews
Thanks mate! Appreciate the feedback 😁
Love the video & video style and love that it’s coming from a fellow Aussie. Would love to see and modification videos you do on the Supra as well. Also would like a tyre review / test
Thank you, mate! yes we will try and get a tyre test done down the track, would love to see what the differences are.
I agree on the wheels! To much R33 skyline going on with them. Good for the extra grip but you just need a rim that suits it better. It's a shame about no apple car play ect.. and the beamer gear shifter... great video though 👍
Would definitely love to hear about your other cars Paul. Great video.
Definitely will Steve! Will sort out the Tesla next 😁
You're the best car reviewer!
That was a great Video suit the name . Car Expert . 💙
Thanks Lawrence!
Well presented again Paul!! Nice pick Paul. Glad that Toyota came out form traditional concept with more ragged looking. Partial credit goes to BMW too.
Thank you, mate!
Ive enjoyed this, honest and realistic. Good stuff. Cant wait till you guys get the yaris gr4!
Thanks! We can't wait for the GZ Yaris as well! It looks like an absolute pocket rocket :-D
Deciding between this and the m2 comp is so difficult (also, a first world problem)
Perfect paul, bring the VP next video 😊
Absolutely! That’s the one I’m looking forward to pulling out of storage the most 😁
Awesome Content Paul and the team, question, when do we get to see more like this?
Love the channel from South Africa 💯
Have been meaning to ask you about those wheels on twitter, mate.
I agree, they're a bit small and a bit far and furious for what is otherwise a bloody nice car. Love that colour, too. Hard to clean? I'll look forward to seeing it at the next DAD drive, once this bloody COVID business is done with!
Colour isn’t too bad - I just hose it off and it lives inside 😁
Enjoyed this Paul, definitely more of these
Will do!
This was great Paul thanks for sharing
Congrats on the new drive. What is the matt paintwork like to maintain and clean? Have you performed any treatments on it? eg a ceramic coating?
Thanks! I applied a matte wax, but outside of that I just hose it off and try not to use any other harsh products on it :-D
any upgrades planned? Nice wheels btw..
Nothing in the pipeline. I don’t want to void the warranty - but have been keeping a close eye on my friend’s Supra - he has done a tune, down pipe and intercooler and it sounds incredible!
I love your videos and your car.. I am looking as a future owner and your video was the 1st and I am Sold .. thanks Mate 😊
I love the number plate not going to lie 🤣
😄
good car but stupidly set price too high in au..
Enjoyed the video Paul, love the Supra, 😍 the colour!
Thank you! I'm a fan of the colour too :-D looks great in person.
Cheers
Nice work Paul i like the wheels and colour combo
Loving the color and the plates 😎 I'm still a bit disappointed that Toyota didn't make an effort to produce a modern 2JZ. But the engine does sound epic ✌🏾😎✌🏾
I don’t think they could justify the cost, but it would have been awesome, for sure!
I like the Q&A ideas 💡 put it on Facebook a lot easier + a tv 📺 PROG .
Looking forward to hear about how Toyota is upping the power for the next one. A manual 4cyl would prob be the best config
Yes - the extra power is fine, but the big hardware change isn’t very good!
Love the plate!
😁
Great looking set of wheel's Paul, love the look of the seats id say they would really hang in there.
Thanks mate!
Love it mate, please do your model 3 next😍
Absolutely will 😁
CarExpert went to chadstone the other day and test drove the model 3 performance! Wow best car I’ve ever been in, and I’ve been in a fair few, as a ex car salesman, I would say it even tops
My drive in a rs6 performance!! Me and my wife were blown away by the tech/car/refinement/ power!!! Insane power that is so fast it can make you Motion sick😛 I am happy to report that we didn’t find it one bit too firm 👍🏻 not even the other half!!! 😁 nothing like a filling/Tooth wrecking rs3 that we drove, could never have that as a daily as cool as it is......
The wheels are sick mate!
