Frankenstein’s monster didn’t run away. Victor abandons him.

Kind of. When Victor leaves the house it’s for I think only a day but not sure and when he returns with Clerval the monster had left. So it’s kinda both maybe. I would say the monster left to find victor but him somehow being able to find and kill William makes me think otherwise.

This gets quite a many points in the story wrong. First of all, Victor wasn't a doctor, he was a 20-year-old undergrad student. The Creature didn't look like the square-headed hulk Boris Karloff made famous, he was an 8 ft tall superhuman with flowing black hair and was meant to be a beautiful perfect human being, only to have very uncanny valley features that made him terrifying. Also, Victor fled his apartment-turned-lab out of fear as soon as the Creature started waking up and then the Creature stumbled outside confused and alone, so he didn't just "escape and steal his journal". Composing the monster out of various body parts and animating it with electricity comes from the film adaptations: in the novel Victor never fully describes his methods. Did the maker of this video actually read the book?
As for the book's central themes, I think the video missed a very essential one: a parent's/creator's responsibility on their child/creation. Relating to the question of whether creating life is moral, you can debate if Frankenstein's biggest sin wasn't creating his monster per se, but abandoning it and neglecting to take any responsibility. He never even tries to take care of the human he just gave life to, he lets an innocent woman be hanged for the Creature's crimes and finally refuses to give it the one thing that could have made his "child's" life at least tolerable.

Cool! (though Frankenstein never got a Doctor Title) Greetings from Ingolstadt, the town where the creature was created

Thanks for the great comment, we appreciate your curiosity and attention to detail. Exactly you'r right ! All the descriptions in the novel and the movies of Victor Frankenstein's obvious scientific knowledge and surgical skills lead us to assume that he must have been a doctor, and he is often referred to as such in films and television. However, he is never referred to as such and has never been addressed as “Dr. Frankenstein” in the novel. We chose to call him DR. to follow the common / movie based knowledge.
