Kelly is 30 years old. She's not about to overuse her voice like Mariah and Whitney did. She has been singing in a solid chest tone for most of her 20s -.- It's so obvious she has a connected head voice. Her old demos and some of her live performances are proof of that. She was classically trained so there's no point of ME telling you that she's capable of all these things. Being able to sing many genres is part of being versatile, idk what you're yapping about. I never said that her mixing wasn't healthy, and just b/c it is, doesn't mean it's pleasant to the ears. No one's trying to make you laugh. Kelly may not be as into doing melismas as Mariah, Whitney or Beyonce but under a live setting, those women aren't as comfortable as Kelly. I mean, it's simply the truth lady. You telling me Mariah or Nicole can sing Country? You saying Beyonce can sing rock? No, I don't think so. Kelly does it all-THAT is versatility. Don't compare those lipsycers to her.

Why not? You're only left wondering what she could have done on a better day. I wouldn't exaggerate because it wasn't bad. Her belts were rough but not Janis Joplin rough.

um that is the meaning of versatility. being able to fit your voice into many genres. bey has a very nice tone and great technique but her style of singing did not fit when she was singing a country-fide version of irreplaceable with jennifer knettles. or no matter how r&b mariah changes bringing on the heartbreak she will never be able to sing something like sweet child o mine
Anastacia's mixing is just ear piecing..just because a singer can sing high doesn't mean she should. Honestly speaking of being one-dimensional, Kelly's more versatile than all those ladies. Belting, head voice, falsetto, heady mix, chesty mix, whistle- Kelly can do it all. But Kelly's not a show off, she does things based upon being tasteful. A singer who can perform any genre is anything but one-dimensional...so you're just unappreciative of Kelly's God given voice.
if you don't consider Kelly a real vocalist, then you must be smoking stuff from your behind. A real vocalist...pfft, not a lot of singers can go to the stratosphere without making your ears bleed. And seriouslyyyy, you quoted me lmfao ,wow.
