    I have been more than happy with my moultrie edges. I ran 4 of them last season and they all held up perfectly. Battery life was tremendous. The batteries were still at 50%+ on all my cameras after 4 months. I used 16 rayovac high energy batteries in each. I just got my Edge Pro today. Can't wait to try it out.

      That’s awesome!!! I just setup another edge pro yesterday! Hoping I get some nice bucks on it 👍🏻

    Enjoyed it as always Duane. Can you use those like a standard SD card trail cam or do you have to sign up and pay and use the cellular service?

    • @mountainbuck
      @mountainbuck  9 месяцев назад +1

      Hey Trophy Hunter! Thanks so much! These are a little different in that you can’t pull the SD card. You’d have to take everything from the cloud. Thanks for watching 👍🏻

    As always very good video. Thanks.
    This camera take 15s long videos right?
    I was wondering, do you know any others good cameras who take longueurs videos?
    Like 30s to 60s?
    Thanks

    • @mountainbuck
      @mountainbuck  9 месяцев назад +1

      Hey Cesar! Thanks so much! Yes, this camera takes 15 second HD videos. There are tons of cameras that take longer videos 30 seconds, 60 seconds and longer, but none that transmit those long videos over a cellular network (as far as I know). You’d have to retrieve the SD card to get your footage.

    Looks really nice running the edge with the battery pack . So far, it's been solid. Edge pro looks really nice but a bit pricey.

    Would you mind doing a follow-up video with it in the woods? It performs well in an open field. I operate most of mine in the much darker woods. Thank you.

    Definitely like the camera! Now it was years ago but I had a terrible customer service experience with them. I think I’ll stick with my camojojo trace. Video quality is comparable and the price for monthly service is best I have seen. They count 10 second videos as pics. I pay 7.99 a month for over 800 videos and unlimited is only 11.99 a month still way cheaper. And camojojo customer service has been good.

      Hey masterski! Thanks for watching! I do really like that Camojojo Trace video clip feature they give you. I wish it was longer than 10 seconds.

    wow i bought the tacta cam reveal gen 2.0 and the moultrie edge pro blow it away with standard picture quality, wish it had live view like the comodojojo

      Hey SuperReddog!!! The image quality on this thing is super nice. I like that the Camojojo video comes right to the app without having to request it. I wish they gave you 15 seconds though. Can’t have everything I guess haha. Thanks for watching 👍🏻

    Do you like this camera or the Tactacams better? I’ve ran Tactacams for the past 3 years and I’ve had great luck with them. Unfortunately 2 of them got damaged by storms so Im looking to either buy more Tactacams or go with this camera for the upcoming season. Just looking for your thoughts.

    • @mountainbuck

      Hey thanks for watching! Every camera has its pros and cons and none are perfect. I’m really big into video as I like to see what the deer are doing. This camera has some really nice quality video as you can see from the review. One of the features about this camera that is a little different is that the photos & videos are all stored in the cloud. That may be a pro or con depending on your perspective. (I like to pull cards at times to get videos, personally). I have been running two Edge Pros over the last 8-9 months as my only cellular trail cams. I’ve also paired them with a solar panel for one and lithium rechargeable battery pack for the other and it’s nice not to have to worry about batteries (except recharging the battery once in a while). I haven’t used Tactacam for a while now personally… I’m waiting for them to put out a new camera (which they haven’t done since their x-pro around 2 years ago).

    im going to use this for my work, i was curious if i need the lithium ion battery pack in order to use the solar panel.

    • @mountainbuck
      @mountainbuck  2 месяца назад

      Hey Joe. You definitely do not need the battery pack to use the solar panel. In fact, you most likely won’t need batteries at all, although you may want to use them as a backup. Thanks for watching 👍🏻

    Looking for cams right now but Moultrie's plan prices are way off the mark. Was about to buy a few cams but won't do it for that, unfortunately.

    I have 4 edge cameras and one edge pro. The pro stopped working within a month and one edge stopped working after two. I’m looking to switch to something more reliable. Any suggestions ?

      Hey Douglas!! A man that’s a bummer. My Edge Pros are holding up nicely. My favorite trail cam before the Edge Pro came out was the Tactacam Reveal XB. They stopped making it for a while but just brought it back. Thanks for watching 👍🏻

      Hey RTOutdoors! I think the Edge Pro is the best trail cam on the market today. Better photos, better videos and better tech than Tactacam.

    Can you use a python lock on this camera to lock out people or anything from accessing the pop open door?

    • @mountainbuck

      Hey Billy! Yes this does have a hole for a python cable. I’ll have to double check and see if it also locks the door.

    Great product, but pricey! Especially if buying the rechargeable lithium battery and the universal solar panel. Which puts this camera at $340.00 excluding tax and subscription. When 60% of Americans live paycheck to paycheck. Can't afford an unexpected $400.00 expence. That's over half of the population that won't buy these cameras. For a few hundred bucks, a friend of mine hooked me up with a CCTV security system. I think it cost me $300.00 for everything. Six cameras covering the camp and 14 in use as game cameras......

    • @mountainbuck
      @mountainbuck  9 месяцев назад +1

      Hey Paul! I can see where you’re coming from. Everything is more expensive over the last couple of years. Hunting is a big business though and a good percentage of hunters spend good money each season. I try to cover a wide range of products (anything from entry-level budget items to higher end products). I even found a $20 trail cam on Amazon and bought it and reviewed it (spoiler alert: it wasn’t good haha). As far as the Edge Pro, I’d probably get either the solar panel or the rechargeable battery. You also don’t need to buy an SD card so that helps a bit as well. Thanks for watching 👍🏻

      I know it's big business and sometimes I can't help myself from giving stuff a try. Ever try those synthetic scents? I totally stopped using real scents in archery season any more. How much tracking do you do in rifle season?

    not so hyped about NO SD CARD.... Have a couple other moultrie trail cams that no longer send out Cell data but still have Cards to pull from. Other Wise I would have $350 of worthless cameras.

    • @mountainbuck
      @mountainbuck  9 месяцев назад

      Hey Liam! I can see both sides. Some guys might not want to mess around with SD cards at all and others would like to have that backup. Just depends on preference I guess. Thanks for watching 👍🏻

      If cameras aren't sending pictures with cameras having NO SD card. Your pictures are still available on their servers... just may have contacts them on issues of not sending pictures. That way they will be able to send you pictures
