Maaaan, debating getting a pair. I got the fruit by the foot nano 7 which is great for when I lift and black and gum speed tr 2.0. depends on the color scheme of the nano 8s. Thanks for the review and the comparisons!
Awesome review man. Ordered a custom pair yesterday, 4-6 weeks is a killer but I'm a week into training with the FlyKnit 2's which are superb, really comfortable and a big difference coming from the Metcon 2's I was training in. Now to resist the Metcon 4's....the UK prices are nuts at the moment...
As usual, love your videos! LOVE Nike and love my new FLYKNIT 2's but I do always get one pair of Nano's as well. Liked the 5's, loved the 6's as you do and yes... The 7's were a disappointment to me as well. Can't wait to get the 8's and the new METCONS coming in the 19th!! Keep up the videos! You always hit all the important points and always seem unbiased.

You're right that they perform just as well, but I'm just gonna add that the TRs are more flexible and actually feel lighter because of the Cordura upper.

Great review thanks. Maybe you can help me. I am starting get some knee pain from jumping type workouts. Wondering what shoe might be best for me that's ok for a wider forefoot. Won't use them for weight training just jumping and running.
First thanks for all the awesome reviews, you get all the best toys. Second, thanks for answering all of the questions posted to you. Third, my annoying question. I recently got the Nano 7 Weaves and absolutely love them for lifting, previously I was using Metcon 2’s and for me the 7 weave felt way more stable and for some reason I didn’t seem to go onto my toes during oly lifts like I have a tendency to do with the Metcons. My question is will the increased flexibility on the 8’s have the potential to act like the more flexible metcon 2 and throw you forward on your toes easier? I’m 95% satisfied with the 7 weave I just wish it was a tad more comfortable but would definitely take the lifting ability of them over a more comfortable shoe like the metcon. Thanks again!

Hi, can you comment on heat release of the 8.0 compare to the 6.0. I currently wear 6.0 and it does not dissipate heat very well. I loved the 2.0 how it dissipated heat very well becuase of the upper was so airy

So, these are the widest Nanos, but would it also be the widest crossfit shoe as far as midfoot goes? I have the weaves, still feel good, just wanting to know if there was a wider option anywhere

How’s the lace length on the 8? The speed tr 2.0s have ridiculously long laces that I have to triple knot and they’re still long. Have you run on ice/snow with them? The TR are not fun for that. I feel I liked the TR better than the 5s they replaced but for my flat feet fall short for volumes of box jumps and box jump overs. Im ready to dump them after 5 months. :(

You have great reviews. Looking to start CrossFit in May to compliment my ultra running training. Decided to look into the shoes to try during strength training days of my training block for my 50 milers. I tried both the Metcon 4 and Nano 8 true to size and the nanos felt awful. So much so that I didn’t try a size up. Metcon 4 was too small true to size but weren’t bad a half size up.
Once you get some months of CrossFit under your belt you’ll see why the Nanos are so awesome. Give it some time.
Wouldnt a softer mid sole mean these 8's suck for squatting and dead lifting? People complained the 7's were too hard?

Solid recommendation Joel! I've worked out a few times and ran in these shoes and really like them. I have no idea how long they'll hold up but I bought two pairs and should be covered for a while.

I've had only 1 pair of Nanos which were the 4.0. I disliked the way they felt when working out. Completely disappointed which led me to Metcons. I then tried these on based on Joel's review and I must say Reebok has come a long way. I just ordered a custom set and it's hard for me to believe that I just can't wait. Thanks Joel!
I have has these trainer for sometime and yes they are the best trainers I have ever had.

I agree with what was said in this video. I have both the Nano 7 and the Nano 8. The Nano 8 is much more comfortable. There is more cushioning and the sole increased flexibility in the sole makes a big difference.

Ordered the black and gum nano 6’s in the re-release... no regrets, much prefer them in look, can’t comment on performance of the 8’s but the 6’s are amazing. The 8’s look identical to the 7’s so will have to take your word for them that they are very different...

I think the metcons are actually more stylish and look better, however Nanos work so much better for me. I find metcons a bit too chunky/ clunky, while Nanos seem to fit my feet better and just feel more comfortable.

So... for someone who sorta fell off the wagon with the training (one of these days I'll get back to it...), how would you say these would work as everyday shoes? I currently use the Merrell Trail Glove 3s which I love, but these look very tempting.
treborrrrr yeah I think they’re great everyday shoes, they’re gonna be different than the Merrells since they’re not as minimal though.
Can I play soccer with them? I'm trying to find a barefoot shoes for soccer.
Damn, I got my custom Nano 8.0s ordered for the pre release event on Dec.19th. They delivered on Jan. 10th but, what I got in the mail was a hybrid of a Nano 8.0 upper on a Nano 7.0 midsole. The dual density foam sole was non existent! Oops! Reebok sent me what appears to be a blanket apology email stating that “during pre launch production my order was impacted” (but will still deliver) with a code for free pair of custom shoes and a note that the Nano 8.0s won’t be available to customize until the 18th of Jan. Custom shoes take 3-5 weeks! I love reebok but man, epic fail for a pre release... 👎

muhammad adam no, if you’re looking for crossfit shoes for your requirements then go for metcon 4 which are better for sprints and lateral movement
Good compassion. Will try the nano 8 and if they are truly more comfortable for me personally than my current Nano 7 I will make the switch. You can improve your videos - most of the video when you move an object closer to the camera, the focus still stays on you and the object on which your attention is dragged to is out of focus which is silly and makes the whole moving the object closer to the lens irrelevant. Continue doing interesting videos.
Hi, love all the reviews. But when it comes to running, how do these compare to the Rock deltas? Sounds like the nano 8s are perfect for just about everything but would you take them on mile runs?
THE BEARJEW I'd honestly prefer running distances in the Rock Delta's but I also wouldn't mind running up to a few miles in the Nano8 either.

cru68 the repper dsx are for Crossfitters on a budget these are full priced like the metcon 3 or 4s so they won’t be that comparable
Exactly what Ben said, great shoe for the money but for the next level of performance you’ll need to go for a flagship. The N8 is better in almost every sense, but what makes it stick out is that they’re more comfortable and flat.
How does the fit of the Nano 8 compare to the Nano 6 in width across the forefoot and height at the bottom of the laces?
Both wider and taller.
Hey! I want some shoes just for the gym, because i am very heavyweight (95kg) and i lift decent (120kg squat) so i can't continue using my running shoes, they just end like shit too fast :P
Would you recommend the nano 7 weave JUST FOR LIFTING? I am in doubt with this.
And don't want to waste all the money in the powerlifting shoes like romaleos

With the liner are these more water resistant than the 7 weaves?

hey joel, how would you say the nano 8 compares to the JJ2? I was having some fit issues with the jjs so maybe i'll just spring for the nano 8 if they're good for running and agility exercise lol
jackara I much prefer the Nanos mainly because they're flatter but also because they're more comfortable and flexible.

Which one do u recommend between nano 8 and Altria hiit xt? I have wide feet and I don't do crossfit I only want to use it for weightlifting and doing drills

I did a ton of rope climbs already and they look like they do in this video, pretty good still. I think it's good enough to max out in, I've hit 90%'s in my 8's so I wouldnt think twice to go for maxes.

I was wondering if you find it a good idea to involve some kind of ranking in you videos. It doesn't have to be a general ranking, as I understand sometimes it is comparing apples and oranges, but maybe weight and subcategories. I recently have been looking for a lighter shoes and it would have helped to have a comparison rather than looking through all you reviews. Went with an inov-8. Thanks again, hope you keep the channel running.

I am looking for a new training shoe.
i am considering the Nano 8 or the Nano Speed TR 2.0 and would like some advices.
Here are some additional information:
- my weekly training consists of various sports (2 x CF trainings, 1x floorball, 1x regular fitness with focus on some rehabilitation of old injuries)
- i got a broad forefoot
- i have never owned a Nano shoe before

Just returned Nano 8 (bought at 50% sale for 70$) and it was a pain machine. I've had Nano 6 for 2 years and they are still great...Nano 8 gives me pain after just wearing them even if I'm just sitting. Worst shoe ever honestly. It's not the size...they are tight from sides even up and down.
P.S. Nano 6 looks 10 times better.

PRO TIP: If you are a female with a smaller shoe size, you can fit in the kid’s model. Just look at the size chart. I’m a size 7 in womens and got a kids 5.5. They are the same quality. I ended up getting two pairs for $90 when the had the BOGO on kid’s shoes!

I bought a pair, they fit well and look OK, but they don't breath. At all. Ever. I've never had a shoe that makes my feet feel as hot as these things do. Given the choice I wouldn't buy them again, because of this.

HS Han Nanos are perfect for wide feet. I have wide feet. Metcons are too narrow, Nanos are comfortable.
