We love hitting the lake or pond every once in a while for some RC boating fun and we were excited to get our hands on the high-speed ProBoat Sonicwake Self-Righting Deep-V RTR Boat to try out. This big RC Boat comes ready to run with a powerful brushless system capable of running up to 6S! The running hardware is all performance oriented aluminum designed to help the v-hull handle anything from smooth to rough water. This boat also features a self-righting system, so if you flip the boat over, a pod fills with water to help flip the boat back over without you getting wet. Note: Sorry our GPS speedmeter didn’t survive our last RC car speed test so we couldn’t provide an exact speed on the boat. Also much of the action footage was shot up close, to do so, we ran the boat at slower speeds. The on-board footage in the video is a great example of how fast the boat can go.

I got a S2 custom prop from Chris Hoffman added a dual pickup rudder availability for the Sonicwake. One line for the motor and one for the esc with 2 outlets. Runs cooler with 2 11.1v 10.000mah 100c packs. This boat is a blast! With this set up 60+ consistently.
I'd like to see more boats. You did a great job on this video as usual. Let me add though, as for more boat videos, only ones with real part support like proboat or Traxxas. I'm done with that Amazon wuhan china toy stuff where it takes 2 months for a part to come in. Thanks again. Love your channel.

Upgraded it's fast
Just bought my first boat, Proboat Impluse. Haven't run it yet. It's an older fiberglass hull, not sure why they went to ABS, the fiberglass is so nice. Maybe has to do with the self righting. More boat videos please!
Probably because fiberglass is more expensive to produce. The thickness of the ABS on this hull is pretty good. Some old boats used to have a really thin ABS. I think there’s another boat coming soon. 😎

The water cooling stock sucks . That’s why I made it my business doing mods for the sonicwake on my channel. 👊👍

What prop would you suggest for a bit higher top speed without causing excessive heat and killing the run time?
Can I use two 4500mah at 60c lipo because I see everywhere states 5000mah which I don't have.
Yes, the mAh is basically your run time.
I just got this boat. Im waiting for the batts to arrive I got 2 5200mah 3s 50c batteries I was wondering if these will do the job im looking for the speed out of the boat. Any input would be great. and thanks!!

Just bought the black and green one with 2x 6s batteries and what do they do lock us down again before I can use it ************ not fair at this rate it will be a shelf queen for way to long 😕😢😔.update have used it a few times it's a beast ,have also upgraded the trim tabs, turning fines and prop I have also put bigger bore hoses on it to help with cooling better ,it's fast handles even better and doesn't over heat am so happy with it

Wish they had made a jet boat this size.. I cant afford those thrasher jet boats.. and I barely see large jet boats from company's like this.. except smaller size ones.. but thrasher jet boat is one the largest jet boat and kool boat. Rc sparks has a few them thrasher jet boats.. its probably something u should get to try them.

I only had a Spartan so far and it somehow disappeared...yes, disappeared 😂🤦♂️. Now I am looking for something new. Could you give me some advice, how to make a boat salt water ready (sort of)?
Suicide Betty We had a boat take off once into the ocean never to be seen again lol. Nothing is really saltwater ready. There are some teflon waterproofing sprays that would probably be a good start to protecting the metals. But you really need to jump on maintenance after your run. Clean dry and coat the metals with an anti-corrosion spray especially the flex shaft ASAP.
Run fresh water through the cooling after use aswell
