Hi Mark, I really enjoyed the hotel and neighborhood tours you used to do on this channel. They were useful and informative when I plan my trips. Could you please bring those back? I think that’s what set this channel apart from your main channel. Thanks! Been a big fan of yours for 10 years.
Another GREAT Video from Mark !!! Penang food is great... I am learning a lot from You !!! Trying to make food videos...Its a lot of work.. I don't know how you do it with such enthusiasm and Positivity and that smile no matter what...
Welcome to Penang island. It is raining here today but your video is probably taken a few days back I suppose. Hope you enjoy your stay as well as the food! Cheers! :)
Dark coloured meatball are my favourites. It is actually pork tendon meatballs. Normally it has some ginger mixed into it to add flsvour to the tendon.
You have literally cured my Anorexia Mark.. thank you so much buddy.. You are arguably the best food vlogger.. such a positivity and so much respect for the food.. ❤
Thanks for the great review Mark! We really appreciate the effort you put into pronouncing the names as well as the stories behind the food you present... Koay teow th'ng, spot on! That last meatball which had ginger in it are "meat tendon balls" I believe they are made with some connective tissue of pork to give it the unique texture. Please come back again to Malaysia!
couldn't agree more! i'd love to see more of Ying's reactions to different foods. she is an absolute delight, and i love going on this journey with the family. it's incredibly wholesome and authentic.
Hi Mark, I've been a fan of your videos for a few years. You'll be in Penang until which date? Hope can meet up with you & bring you to nice places. Cheers
Looks like matzo ball soup. Looks good. Great video. I don't think I've ever seen a bad video from u and I've been watching since Micah was a baby. I thought u did a hospital episode with Ying. Thanks for always great entertainment.
Hi Mark, Thank you so much for your review. The chicken served in this restaurant is actually old hen not ayam kampung hence the texture of the meat is different. The old hen is cooked in the soup for certain amount of time before taking out of the soup leaving the essence and the sweetness of the old hen in the soup. ❤ Hearty and comforting bowl of chicken soup❤
usually for me...i'll add like lots of green chillies...yeah...like how you add it the 2nd time when you request for top up...hehe...that chillies really adds a whole new level to the taste
Mark, i recommend coming to terengganu and try Lembah Warisan Tasik Kenyir : Ikan Baung restaurant, and try to find mee calong in terengganu..mee jusoh too while youre there And restaurant saiful in pahang. Come and do east coast tour once again mark.. Please come to elephant village in kenyir too.. They need coverage.. Nobody is visiting right now
Th'ng merely means soup in Chinese Hokkien dialect which is widely used amongst the Penang ethnic Malaysian Chinese while in KL and Ipoh, Cantonese is commonly spoken
This is real! This is my second channel where I share extra content, and sometimes more laid back videos. This restaurant was not posted on my main channel. Thanks for your support!
Mark, start a side gig; "Marks colon cleanse" with all the different peppers you eat. Put ground up pepper in pill form. Easterners palate can't handle the spice level. Encapsulate the peppers...you've dropped your risk of colorectal cancer 50%😂😂😂😂😂❤
Hi brother I'm in kerala, I look video more days I more like see your videos,,, brother I want one request for you,, send videos vegetables fud,, all time you eat non veg
It's pronounced as "kway teow ter-ng", the latter meaning soup. It is hokkien dialect. You call the lady vendor, auntie, she is about the same age as you Mark.
Adding chili or dip the food into a bit of hot sauce take the taste to another level! However adding too much just spoils the essence taste of the food.
