Turkey is truly great, I really love the country even though I am an Orthodox Christian not a Muslim. Turkish people are the most welcoming and hospital people on planet Earth. Always love your videos.

Greens you had with your meal is called cibes. Nothing but fresh sprouts that grow off of cabbage plants which are left in ground after cabbage heads are harvested so your comment about its flavor was spot on!
Micah sure was a great little helper.😊 And that plater looked so good. Sea bass is one of my favorite fish, and my mouth was watering, watching you cut into it. It looked so flaky and delicious. Yum!😋

Turkey is such a beautiful country, Izmir on the coast divine, the Sea Bass, Shrimp, the veggies, all looks so delicious. Mark you are an inspiration of culinary delights all around the world. I am still a bit hesitant to visit Turkey, seems most folks are super friendly and all.
The green veggie is “civez”. Which is the seedlli g of cabbage which grows at the stem of cabbage after you cut the out of its body to harvest it. So it is like a baby cabbage which “re-grows” on the plant after you harvest it. I hope i could make myseşf clear.

Without Raki, that table doesn’t make any sense, glad you enjoyed though 😊
4:50 should be pazı, but you must order girll oyster mushroom too in fish restaurant, also you should tell them how to cook your fish, like full open istanbul butterfly style or closed grill. Also you order wrong to shrimp that cook style is classic. Turkish way is a tereyağında karides güveç
Dear Mark Wiens, First of all the question you asked which vegetable you are eating on the video 4:50 the answer is "Pazı", in english i think it is called Swiss Chard. Secondly; I am huge fan of you and I enjoy watching your videos. Especially the ones from Turkey because i am Turkish. However, there is one issue that I cannot solve. I think it is a problem for the ones who are following you. I think you are uploading these videos randomly because it is not clear whether you are in Syria or Turkey right now. If you put these videos in order, we the viewers will be able to easily know where you are. Or at least give us an info when this video was taken. I am waiting for your more beautiful videos. Thank you and god bless you.

This is a bit of a strange question but, those stray dogs, do the just poop anywhere they want are have they learned to use the "bathroom" in a place that doesn't effect the locals??. I know that's an odd thing to ask, but the locals, I'm sure would be a lot less tolerant of them if they're causing a mess everywhere... 🤔 Was just interested to know 🤷♂️🤝😇 P.S. Wow only 17 minute video 😂😂, very rare 😊 P.P.S. Mark it would be great if you could do a tour of the UK... Our cuisine is much understood and underestimated ❤✌️
Actually they are clean than people. ı I've never seen a stray dog poop anywhere at the street. they poop on the grass ,under the trees and covering their poop. But people throw garbage all over the place. BTW If the new law is approved by the parliament, the government will kill 4 million stray dogs. There are millions of people in Turkey right now trying to prevent this from happening. Please let the world hear and support us.
