    • @hughhou
      @hughhou  5 лет назад +2

      My GH5 rig with Entaniya? It prob cost the same lol as the glasses is expensive. It won't hit 11K - it is only 6K max. It is 8 MFT vs 2 really good MFT - so prob not. But I should do some test. GH5s has a way better low light but limited to 4K not 6K in 10 bit - I will go with E2 - but I love my GH5 rig - just not that dark and never go pass ISO800. I denoise all my GH5 shots BTW, so workflow wide Titan is easier

    Some really nice footage, clear, good colours, sharp and not oversharp. Does anyone happen to know what camera stripzvr uses? The quality of their footage is way better than anyone else I've seen. Virtually free of chromatic aberration, although their lens separation is clearly a little wider than 65mm and uncorrected.

    What about the genius HDR Video Mode of the Pro2.
    Was it not available 2019?
    I have the Pro2 since last year and all my testings showed, the HDR 8K3D 30FPS Mode is THE way to go. Log mode, even in bright sunlight is soo noisy in comparison, with much less DR.

    Hi, thanks for your reviews they are very good. Id like to know what you think about a rig of blackmagic cinemapocket with laowa or entaniya lenses vs titan vs instapro2 in terms of stiching for scenes with movement (thinking in stiching a scene with movement give me the chills), workflow, post production, colours and publication for VR devices or web. Today we were using insta pro 1 but we feel we need to go one step further

    • @hughhou
      @hughhou  4 года назад

      Blackmagic 6K with Entaniya might delivery pretty good quality (I don't have one so IDK) - but the Stitching will be close to impossible for movement. Having blackmagic raw or ProRes is always great for post production coloring and lighting control. But the stitching part prob make this idea very impractical - unless your stitcher is really good at what he/she does.

    Thanks for the comparison Hugh! One comparison I am curious about - Panasonic GH4 rig vs. Titan. Thanks for the shoutout! For HDR video mode, I only use it during bright light. In low light, it has some strange effects sometimes, like each lens might move independently from each other.

    • @hughhou
      @hughhou  5 лет назад +2

      Why GH4? For GH5 rig - the total cost is come up close to the Titan price as Entaniya glasses are really expensive. But it only reach 6K and GH5 is not good at ISO pass 800 - GH5s can only reach 4K. Sensor numbers do matter. 2 good MFT vs 8 MFT, 8 MFT will win way more. Because of each MFT is only responsible for a very small area.

    I've seen your "Insta360 Titan Unbiased Review" video but you barely mention live mode.
    I was wondering if you made a comparison of the Titan vs Pro2 in live mode ?
    And if so, is it better as the lenses are not the same (even if the max resolution is still the same if i'm right - 3840x2160 30p)

    • @hughhou
      @hughhou  5 лет назад

      I have not tested Live mode yet. But live is mostly limited by data rate rather anything else. Even with biggest lense - the quality improvement is tough as everything need to compressed the hell out of it - but I will do a series re livestream to answer lots of question. • @hughhou

    Great comparison, thanks Hugh! The Titan presents VR filmmakers with an interesting dilemma because that excellent image quality does not come without a cost. Besides being much more expensive, it's also far bigger, heavier, and I presume requires much more data storage and a more expensive computer to edit the footage. The larger size has very practical implications - talent cannot stand as close to the camera without introducing stitching artifacts, and that will limit the immersive qualities of the footage in many situations. I would love to see how the Titan stacks up against the Obsidian R - the reigning low light champ from your earlier tests. Thanks again for the great content Hugh :-)

    • @hughhou
      @hughhou  5 лет назад +1

      Everything you said is 100% nail in the head. As here in the channel we trying to push quality so we will deal with all the others factors by upgrading our current workflow and come up with strategies to help others as well. I still need to do that test but MFT sensor will win any day - so not even Obsidian R can match Titan in low light.
