Titan nicknames? I'll get the ball rolling: The death star, the fly, world's most expensive bowling ball 🎳
BB-8 😂
Wow. Looks sick. Did you upload any of the vr video? I would love to see here on YT. Would love the Titan. “I could see my wedding being shot with one of these.” Hint hint Insta360.
many circumstances where such a camera would be ideal.
on a drone in an unpredictable scenario and be able to after the fact has decent footage of whatever unfolds.(really this after the fact, that is so freaking cool)
or on a football stadium, though a 180' at certain spots would be sufficient to have a continuous video loop on the spectators if some fools start to misbehave and the ability to look at the footage in solid quality and identify who did what.
btw do you have a video about lens variables on insta360 cameras.. got myself my first insta360 x2 cam and I'm seeing quite a big difference between the two lenses darkness/exposure or what it is called, not least when it is set to auto and not to isolate, but I'm pretty lost as a 360noob on what is to be expected on a 360 cam and what ain't and perhaps could be classified as a defect.??
do you have a video where you go into depth about what lens differences that one needs to expect and when it simply is too extreme.. it's from China BG, so not that easy to just flip it back, and again maybe it is totally normal and to be expected, I simply don't know..my first 360
// reposted under your comment, hence a direct question.
The Eye Ball
⚠️ I wish that Insta team focus on developing a pro version of Insta One X with 8K video and 1 Inch sensor 👍🏼
I wonder how far it can be kicked?
Great video Ben!
While recording of course...
@@bgsound2721 of course
2.3 meters, just tested. Can you reimburse me for that test? 😂
😂 just sent the cheque in the post should be with you in 5 - 6 working years.
Thanks for the review Ben! I will share on 360rumors!
Thanks buddy!
attaching this to a commercial drone would give you insane results.
For sure!
Another great video Ben would be cool to have a couple of these for event recording.
thanks for the review
in regards to stability: add weight/sandbag to your support! simple fix, just lake with large spotlights and tall micstands....
Thanks Ben! You said it right: if you want to upscale your 360 game, go get a pano head and DSLR.....there is no match to that
Love the videos!
I’d go with the Imperial VR droid.
Just saw a virtual tour of a museum exhibit, looks like they used some of the software you talked about in the past. I’ll upgrade my camera eventually.
That one is really sick!!!:.. What a great product, I love this tech age. thx for sharing
will you be able to upload the full quality 360 footage on youtube? i would love to see it back with my headset on youtube! great vid btw! love you channel (from brissy)
Cheers! Yeah pretty sure you can, although I don’t post much actual 360 content myself
Watching Ben leave the Titan at the edge of the harbour is the most suspenseful experience I had in a while. Should I worry?
Thanks Ben for the review and the amazing footage. Great to see what the future of consumer 360 video will be.
Love ya work mate! Just got my Titan to shoot VR in the remote Kimberley. The 25k AUD was hard to swallow, and shame insta have little interest in working on improvements and firmware updates with the Titan. Still, at least I finally have a basketball!
Nice! Keep me posted- always interested to hear what the local 360 community is up to 😁
This looks incredible!! Looked pretty windy... I was gritting my teeth thinking it was going to topple over!! HA HA!!
I was seriously prepared to go swimming in Sydney harbour! Thankfully it didn’t come to that. Would have made for good content though 😂
"Shoot first. Point later" - love it :)
Pokemon 💪🏻 would love to see the Titan in action at a rock concert, sports event (snowboard big air) or on top of a race car (wind might be an issue). Or mounted on a rollercoaster?
Nice one Ben
00:52 Super funny 🤣 😂 😆 😹 🤣
Congrats Ben for your video, very interesting and well done. I’m thinking to buy a Titan or a Pro 2. I build my storytelling but very often I have nobody that could record my speech, so I thought that a 360 is the right solution.
Do you think that putting them on tripod with me that speak around is feasible? How can I “zoom” to my face maintaining a 4k resolution?
Grateful for your thoughts.
Best
Fabio
This is so cool :)
Nice video Ben! The price of the Titan in Europe is over 17K (euro) in Europe 😓 I will stick to to my dslr. Still best for photos, even though the Xphase X2 is also impressive. For 360-video Titan and Kandao Obsidian Pro are king.
Thanks buddy, yeah no need to spend that much really! Not until the demand is much higher.
Are we going to see some 360 and 3D videos? I want to see how they look in the oculus.
Nice video
most epensive was nokia OZO where $80k cost ssd alone, I would watch out those narrow tripod Ben;)
It can also be a SPACESHIP 😃. It's Awesome camera 📷 thank you
I would sh*** my pants with those wind and that pricetag and made a ring from a pillows around the camera XD
Insane
Hi Ben ! Please what are the best settings to shoot amazing pictures with Titan?
Thanks for sharing, Is the Titan compatible for uploading 360 photographs to Google Earth?
*checks inbox* for wedding livestream event
review kandao pro next
Hey Ben. Any chance you can upload just the sample footage so I can see it on my VR headset? Also, love the Pokemon Go bit.
Haha didn’t think anyone would notice me playing. I might upload some footage, otherwise just search RUclips for sample Titan footage 😀
@@BenClaremont Thank you Ben!! Keep up the great work, your channel helped me get started with making 360-documentaries, and I am forever grateful!
@@BenClaremont Is that an Articuno?? 5:01
Could u please upload somewhere a sample of 10k 3d video in full quality? I would love to see that in my pimax 8kx 😍😁
BTW crazy 15.000 😱😁
Will try my best!
In Europe the price of the Titan is 17.339 euro 😧 The Kandao Obsidian Pro is over 25K 🤣
OMG love your video but I have to say the end with the seagulls was SOOO funny. lol --- FREDDY.
Just like you mention. This is really intended for video. The price and the workflow need to be in parity with the end use and profit margin to make sense to utilize in a business. It's very niche but I'm sure there are use cases for it where it is within the budget of the client.
I like the Cartoonish Sound Effects
Is it possible to project Titan 360 video in a dome theatre as well as in Oculus?
Thanks Ben! Did you upgrade the RAM memory in your iMac? For this price I hope it came with Fm radio, at least! Ja,ja,ja!
Yes as much Ram as I could get 😂
hey , could i mount this to my unicorn helmet mount ? i want to do some really hi def mtb shots
Worlds most expensive Bowling Ball... whahahaha that's an awesome phrase!! :D
Great video.
This would be an amazing totem for edc 😍 however I'm not rich enough to justify buying one for just a 3 day event sadly 😞
I saw this one now and the price tag for August 2022 is around 17k which is I think ridiculous. I see the IQ is pretty nice but any price over 3-4k is insane. And especially pro2 with almost 6k price it has really poor IQ IMO. I just wonder how it would be if Sony or Canon would go for Pro 360 gear? Probably we could get way much better quality for one third of this price. THanks for the video btw :)
Where can I buy monopod used for Titan?
Is this suitable for shooting 3D 360 degree blockbuster movies, assuming they are someday a thing?
Hi , How many pixels are there between each shot, please answer if necessary🙏🏾🤍
Is there a link to this video in 360 ? That could help a lot actually if u put a link and I missed it sorry for this comment
(Die! Seagulls, die! - Ben Claremont 2021).... And thanks Ben! :))
The camera movements are missing easing … is this a software issue or just an oversight in this video?
Its the Shiny Articuno Flex at 5:00 for me
Tornadus 😀
In regards to the photo aspect, is it trying to be an alternative to matterport?
Definitely not... this is giant overkill for photos and not the cheapest nor best for that purpose.
Many circumstances where such a camera would be ideal.

The quality of the image's look great (watching on a large 4k Sony TV), however the video of traffic moving, high shutter speed made the vehicles look jurky!
I also noticed in the shots where he is on the water, the ripples have an off effect.. flowing, pausing, flowing, pausing, on and on.
Hi dude does it supports Matterport scan ?
I have watched full video i couldn't able to find
No it doesn’t
Consumer cameras seem to stuck at 5.7K for the last few years. Is this to protect the professional level products like this? I mean if you could get say a 8K Consumer camera for a twentieth the price who would buy this? I would think it would be a very small market.
There is the Qoocam 8k. However 8k is practically impossible to edit on a phone right now, so consumer cameras will have that bottleneck for a while, since smartphones are also a common tool of the consumer :)
it is so fascinating to see how Human beings can create and develop such amazing things as this camera , true it cost a lot , but for the most part Human beings spend so much more on inventions to destroy each other , would it be nice that such things like this would for by governments to buy and train people to make videos of the beauty that this has to offer , i like this video you made a lot a very good one here .
the camera is very noisy, how can I disable the fan? what happens if it stays off for more than 2 hours?
finally
Have there been any significant software changes for it since that improve its usability and video quality?
Not sure- I had to send mine back to insta360 so have not used it since I made this video
Why does the panning as you go on the diagonal around 3:00 look so choppy but going horizontal with the boat looks smooth?
Yeah, caught my eye also.
Two causes:
1. video is uploaded as 50p but if you step through it frame by frame you will see it is actually 25p with duplicated frames. I thought perhaps he chose 50p because the the studio camera shots were in actual 50p but nope, so this is very odd. Anyway, re-frame panning/tilting too fast in 25p will cause 'choppy' (especially annoying if you are needlessly getting/viewing it as needless 50p [and if your bandwidth is peaking there]). Re-framing with object tracking (via key-framing or auto-tracking) usually eliminates choppiness of the subject. However, even if it had truly been a 50p shot, there could have been background choppiness even while "object-tracking" smoothly the main subject.
If the Titan footage had actually been 50p, the choppiness would have been significantly less or nil (depending on re-frame pan speed) (e.g. the bridge's choppiness is from too large a 'sweeping' motion within too few frames). This is all assuming you have more than sufficient viewing bandwidth for the video. If you have limited bandwidth (i.e. cannot handle 4k @ 50p), then even the 'tracked' boat may look choppy because you are seeing a 25p video double framed (unfortunately, needlessly) to 50p. Had the video been uploaded in 25p then most (with reasonable bandwidth) would never see tracked objects as choppy (just maybe the background, thus the use of motion blur by many [to hide that choppiness]).
2. Motion blur appears to be employed in the re-framing process (perhaps by choice or option). This in itself will not look choppy, but can enhance (or hide) choppiness in conjunction with number 1. above.
If you freeze frame the video as Ben is tilt/panning down to the street (at 3:30) you will see blur in the frames (i.e. the runner and Ben himself) until the panning motion stops, then the frames are crystal clear. Obviously the camera was shooting in a high enough shutter speed to create crystal clear frames, so it was the post production that introduced the blur (either by artistic intent or default). It is very likely the post production software has a 'motion blur' option for transitions (as you will see the same blur occur in the 'tiny planet' transition, yet becomes a crystal clear tiny planet at the end of the transition. (note, motion blur is usually going to disguise choppiness, but it depends on the blur level vs the "jump" in motion between frames. Otherwise motion blur can make choppiness even more obvious.) In the end, it is an artistic choice. But as a technical video, many viewers may be wanting to know the usage limits (so 50p as duplicate frames was not helpful).
Overall, this video does accurately demonstrate the quality of the Titan output, and I appreciate it and have come back to multiple times (over the years) as a 'reference' video.
[note: I am using "panning", "tilting", "sweeping" interchangeably]
Be interested to know what Tripod you were using Ben?

@@BenClaremont Thanks Ben - When all else fails RTFM - LOL
You should upload your samples on a seperate channel.(or main one)
I don’t upload 360 videos for the reasons I mentioned in my video ‘why I don’t post 360 videos’. That said, there are Titan samples already up if you search RUclips 😀
@@BenClaremont I may have watched that video but that was over a year ago so please Mr. Ben, forgive me for not remembering. 🥺
Hi Ben can you send a link to insta360 oculus app for insta360 cameras please
Search oculus store for Insta360 Moment
That's 3 years of average working where i live! Still, incredible camera.
can i use as motovlogs?
It's Dr. Ball from Robot Chicken the Star Wars series. How's that for obscure?
Don’t know the reference but sounds appropriate!
Can i shoot 4k 120p with it?
🤯❣️
So why is it so choppy when it's panning? It's mostly noticeable when it's full screen on my computer, like it's laggy.
That’s to do with my reframing... I couldn’t figure out how to minimize it during that shot with GoPro FX reframe in Premiere. Obviously in 360 view it wouldn’t be choppy as there would be no movement.
@@BenClaremont Makes sense it would be in the software processing.
Oh I could never leave that thing standing anywhere near water or any hard surfaces. I get enough stress walking away from my one x2
That’s what I’d like to shoot 360 video for client work. Can’t justify the $15,000 though…
I feel like video quality... in the last 10 years.... got so good... there are diminishing returns on the 'wow' factor from now on... because video is so good.. it's basically on par with the human eye. In other words, at some point not far away... cameras will be better than my eye can notice... or any improvements I won't notice anyway.
No matter
how many time i watch these cameras
and
how much info i get about them
i still cant afford these
and
these realworld/practicle people think of it as some dream to have good quality as compare to 108mp mobile camerras
I am glad to hear an English accent where he at least attempts to pronounce syllables. thanks!
I think you mean Aussie 😀
@@BenClaremont yes, best accent in the world, so jealous! just got the Titan, and I am writing the company to let them know without your review I would not have purchased.. thanks again!!!
@@BenClaremontbtw, i will need a much better tripod than the one they recommend, the legs do not go out far enough to stop this thing from tipping.. adds much more stress to shoots.. if you can recommend any real pro tripods that would be great, thanks again! '
O problema das cameras 360 é a compressão os videos não ficam tão bons
Has anyone ever thought of suspending this over a stadium with a xyz wire rigging? Just a thought...
I've owned four of their cameras now and they have all been a headache almost from day one. Setting problems updating problems battery problems you name it. There's no way I would spend $15,000 on the camera created by this company.
I'm very curious for street view sample
Check out the Titan page on their website- there are samples 😀
@@BenClaremont thanks
So close to the water made me nervous 😋😋
8k is so much easier to edit than 11k lol
bad stitching at 7:16
Now it’s not bullet time.
but even being 11k video, you only see 1/6 at any time so the view will be standard hd at any view point.
Yeah but like I mentioned, starting with 11k means you get HD to 4K res when looking around. With 5.7k it looks more like 720p to 1080p.
It should arrive with a 50 kg concrete base...
Footage frame rate not good, was jumping frames. I assume that is post production not doing it right as opposed to the camera.
Attaching this camera to mavic mini🤣🤣🤣
What could go wrong?
@@BenClaremont best compilation!🤣
Difficult product this is, just because consumer 360 cameras are already so good.
They are! And this definitely isn’t for consumers 😀
I find it hilarious that no software supports 11K video...
If no software does, how did I make this video? 😉
but... will it blend?
Yes... yes it will
Does it come with a helmet mount 😂😂😂😂
No, thankfully 😂
So, eh, Mr Ben.....
With that very noisy fan inside, i guess it only shoots video ? ,with NO audio ???
It shoots spatial audio and you can plug a mic in too 😀
I want this camera. Just waiting for Bitcoin to go to the moon ;-)
Sorry but I could care less about a $15,000 professional camera as a prosumer enthusiast. Still waiting for an upgraded 180°3D camera under $1,500 but to no avail.
No need to be sorry, pro cameras are only for a very small audience. Some of the features though are a preview of what we will likely see in consumer cams within the next few years 😀
$15,000 WHOSE dollars? USD/AUD? Cmon ...
USD is the most common universal currency. Also you can simply follow the link in the description.
@@BenClaremont Fair enough, but being you are in Australia, I often wonder. Of course, the AUD would be some insane number at least 30-40% higher.
You can change the currency right there on the Insta360 site. I don’t ever use or refer to AUD on my channel as less than 2% of my audience is Aussie 👍
lol
F.K !!! Cost like my car..
😂
And I shot two videos with the Titan if you want to see them here are the links:
ruclips.net/video/B9ux4MGn9DM/видео.html
And
ruclips.net/video/MXRbfTtLh_I/видео.html
Both are in 3D enjoy them (turn off the fan it lasts 7 minutes recording with out it and is enough)
Use the base plate (ruclips.net/video/MXRbfTtLh_I/видео.html)
This looks pretty much like the 360 go. What a waste of money.
Die seagulls😹😹
