I would appreciate your advice about a purchase I’m valuing.
I’m interested to a professional 360 recorder and for this reason I’m looking at Insta Pro 2 or Titan.
My first question is: being these cameras old up to 4 years, do you think that soon a new Insta product could be issued?
Does it make sense to sped 6k or 16k euros for a 4 years old camera?
Second question is: I use only Final Cut wit a Mac Pro fully equipped (value above 60k euros), is it a limit vs Premiere that I have never used?
Last question is: one of utilization I need from 360 is storytelling when I don’t have a filmaker with me. Does the post production editing allow me to zoom through FCXP up to a get an closer image of my face without loosing a 4k quality?
In other words, a 360 8k record up to which scale could be zoomed in order to get a “real” 4k edited clip?

Have you come across any issues with Adobe Premiere performance when you have the Insta plugin installed? I found it slowed down any edit I was working on even if it wasn't VR.

Hi, can you tell us how to align the h3-vr and the pro2? That would be a great help! Thanks. Is it true the h3-vr can be connected to the pro via usb?
For monoscopic, the screen of the H3VR aligns to the lens to the left of the pro 2 screen. For stereoscopic, the screen of the H3VR aligns to the screen of the pro 2. This is assuming the H3VR is in an upright position, if it is upside down the alignment is reversed
Does Zoom H3-VR stabilize audio as all modern 360 cameras stabilize video? For example I set my 360 camera with Zoom H3-VR and start rotating them both. Will sound keep its direction as recorded video, or it will rotating with my set?
Good question. The H3VR has a gyroscope though whether it maintains it's orientation like the insta360 cameras do...I'd be curious to know. Let me know if you find out
Thank you for the info on Insta360 Pro 2! I have a question; At 1:11, it looks like a Vmount-battery is connected to the camera. Is it for charging the camera? If so, how long can you operate the camera with that setup (assuming that a battery is fully charged when starting recording)?
It can power the camera and also charge it. A fully charged external battery can last about three hours though it's less convenient to use than the internal battery
@@VRVideographer I see. So, I would say, with 98wh v-mount battery, Insta360 pro2 can last for more than 3hours?
If you edit with FCPX, which is my preferred NLE, how do you handle exporting ambisonic audio instead of stereo audio?
As FCPX annoying doesn't support ambisonic audio I would edit an ambisonic project in Premiere or XML it from FCP to Premiere to do the sound or use Reaper. Hopefully FCP will address this at some point

Are you able to record strictly in 180 deg stereoscopic?
Yes, you would film as usual in 360 stereoscopic and then choose VR180 when stitching in insta360 stitcher. I will then make a 180 file
Can you share what external battery pack you are using?
The battery pack I use is called a talent cell power bank. I have 3 of them.

No, the whole equirectangular video file is 8k. Each camera records up to 4k

for $4,200 the mic is shitty and the fan is too loud.....
You can turn the fan off for short takes. You need to use an external mic. The internal is too sensitive for anything above talking volume and can't handle wind. The zoom H3VR is pretty good
