Amazing review as always! I wonder how this compares to the Phiimax for prosumer videography? How much do you lose out from not having stereoscopic vision? It certainly feels less immersive but I'm not sure if stereoscopic is worth it yet, especially when you get it at the cost of clarity. Also, the fanless design of the Teche sounds marvelous.
That's depend. Stereo usually is a client requirement.

Hi Hugh, I think I need your help. You said the Teche Anywhere 360 is like de DSLR of the 360º cameras. Besides for Livestreaming 8K I'd like to get this camera for virtual tours too...Do you think that this camera is a good combo for these two services: Livestreaming and Virtual Tours?. Is their app too bad for taking pictures for the tours and controlling the camera for Lives?. Thanks in advance Hugh.
No I don't think this camera can take good photo - so not a virtual tour camera.

All I want is a HQ inside virtual tour camera and for private GSV outside type tours.

A USB-C to regular USB into the Zoom. I use the official app and connect the camera to local router and router to laptop for live monitoring

@@hughhou thanks man! I tried to get that cable to work but I was unable to hear anything. Are there settings on the Camera to tell it to use the external mic? The ambisonic mic? In the app I turned off the internal mic but had silence in the recording. however the sd card on the zoom sounds great!!

Starlight is not a cinema camera yet - it is only for livestream - it missing all the essential feature. So I will wait. Unless you need a livestream camera
Starlight has Sony Starvis low light sensors as mentioned on their website.
Additional question, how does it compare with the Z1 for virtual tours?

Hi, Hugh🖖 Is the 60MB/s write speed enough to capture highest quality video? For instance the Samsung 128GB EVO plus (MB-MC128HARU)? Or the 90MB/s is absolutely necessary?
60mb/s that is really slow lol. You need 300mb/s + but Samsung EVO SSD is that 500mb/s+ tho?
@@hughhou I mean capturing, recording video on the camera with the MicroSD card, not editing. The Samsung EVO cards are popular, so I consider to purchase one. Speaking about the 128GB capacity there are two options. The first is the MB-MC128GA - this one has 90MB/s for writing. And the second one is called almost the same. It is the MB-MC128HA and it's limited to 60MB/s.

Having watched a lot of your videos, I get the impression that you'd pick the 360Anywhere as the best overall monoscopic camera, and the maybe still the Titan as the best stereoscopic twilight/low light camera? Are those still good assumptions, and what would you say is your overall favorite Swiss army knife stereoscopic camera for various conditions?
Yes. I will say 360Anyhwere is a good livestream camera as I use it mostly for livestream. I actually do monoscopes capture with Qoocam 8K Enterprise a lot - as it has the easiest workflow - no need to stitch -and quality is not that bad compare to others (def not as good or sharp - but speed is everything as I plump out content on Oculus constantly and can not sit in content doing post). And Titan for everything client related. Both Mono and Stereo - as it is still the best highest quality camera - you see my works with TOP GEAR, Oculus, stuffs are all captured in Titan (you don't see it on my channel tho as they are client works)

Will this camera be able to stabilize any sway in the cable system or do you recommend a different camera for 360 live stream from a cable suspension?

I think 360Anywhere is the best choice, qoocam's built-in fan is very loud, the camera heat is very serious.If it's live streaming for a long time, it's not stable.
I think most 360 cameras are easy to live stream by simply providing the server URL and streaming key, but as to the reliability, 360Anywhere is the winner as it supports 24/7. You don't need to worry about the heating issue and all the other possible failures. Academic discount is also available if you contact the team via your work email.
I've just received our Qoocam 8K Enterprise and can't get the rtmp streams to work out of the camera via "Live Pro". We've tried with multiple accounts on RUclips, Facebook and Wowza Cloud. RUclips detects nothing, Facebook sees a stream for seconds before going blank but reports odd frame rates and bitrates higher than set in the app. The camera connects to Wowza but the server isn't happy. We can connect to these services using hardware encoders from Teradek or from software such as Wirecast or OBS.

The Teche looks contrasty with crushed blacks. That's difficult to relight in post. It's always easier to shoot flat. The camera may have a more flat profile, I don't know. It has a lot of detail outside of the shadows, though. We're still waiting for the perfect 360 camera. And by perfect I mean better than 1080p quality after reframing, and very good stitching. That probably means a 1 inch sensor device that's as thin as the 360 X2. Don't get me started on VR180, it seems to be going nowhere, even though it's super realistic in high res. I think it makes most people dizzy when the camera moves. It's most useful for static scenes, not for walking around. I couldn't find a solution for that. Most people get motion sick when we start moving a 3D camera. Not so much in 2D 360.

The problem is that 360-degree video camera is not suitable to shoot feature film, but it is awesome to make documentary.
I don't agree with you. Teche 360 is over sharpening not details. Between 3 cameras, qoocam 8k is the best deal.
