If your sealed games was made after 2005 then it won’t have the silver security strip. They were taken away in 2005
Been a collector of Ps2 games for years . I have Rule of Rose PAL sealed , Haunting Ground PAL is not rare compared to NTSC version , but very good collection .
Man I sold my rule of Rose for like 4 USD in 2012 now I'm sobbing.

Yo that Lenticular cover for Xenosaga 3 is so beautiful to see. I would love to own it someday but for now I. Happy with my standard copy of the game. And it's currently my most expensive game, with Ms Saga being my number 2

Alter code F and Xenosaga 3 are two of the best ps2 games. The ending of both are fantastic

New subscriber here. Awesome collection, ive been wanting to get Xenosage 3 for the longest but i could never spend $250 or more. Maybe one day i catch it for cheap at a flee market or yard sale.

Great Collection! Happy to say I own most of these as well. I don’t have Godhand or Samurai Western though. Hope to get those some day down the road. My other two Rarest games I own that sub in for those two are Rule of Rose and Kuon cib. :)

@@RetroMediaRoom Thanks! Was lucky enough to get them back when they were sub $200. It’s crazy though because I still remember at the time, feeling uneasy about the cost but I am glad I got them when I did now.
Same for me with Haunting Grounds, paid around $100 for it and I'm glad I did.
@@RetroMediaRoom I was a little late to the party on that one. I think I paid just a little over $200 when I got that one. Still better than where it is now.
As someone who owns all the games you shown here including a sealed copy of the big box limited edition of the game" Devil's Summoner 2", and also have the Xensaga 3 game with the holographic card, I must admit these are a great selection of games.

Obscure is also a rare title that I bought brand new the Xbox version is cheap but the PlayStation 2 copy is in the 100 dollar range
I find it strange that the market for NTSC USA and PAL are so drastically different. I also have almost all of these games, but as far as I'm aware, they're mostly worth less than the USA versions, even though apparently the difference is the framerate, which is something you can change in game anyway in most cases.
Anyway, I think that best gems come from ps2.
bought most of my silent hill games 10+ years ago and thank god that I did because man, they went WAY up in price since then.
They really have, even more than I ever imagined.
I have all 10 of the most valuable ps2 games, sans special editions ( mainly Bully but oh well). All are complete but nothing new as i have played them all. Playstation 2 is the only system i collect for that i knew which games would be worth the most, and got them all 7 or 8 years ago. My best find ever was every silent hill game as well as obscure and a few others for $2 a piece at a garage sale. Haunting Ground is the only one i bought when it came out. Nice set
The Pal version of Haunting Ground wasnt expensive. I got a sealed copy for $20 back in 2018 on Ebay.
Same here, I bought my copy for around £15 pounds in 2018. Now it's gone up in value within the space of a few years.
Got mine in 2020 for about £45. It's crazy how such a nice looking game with like zero loading screens runs on PS2.@@adamw.p.6287
I got Xenosaga Episode 3 new and sealed . Last year as a birthday gift. The eBay seller wanted $350 for it I talked him down to $125 including shipping. I got it graded it came out to 9.8 A+ I was so happy. And it's a promotional copy with the whole punch in the barcode. Which is usually only given to employees.

Yes I do have a copy from when it first came out.
I've also got Haunting Ground and Silent Hill 3. Haven't played either of them yet. Discs are in mint condition and I don't want to use them. Currently using PS2 emulation to play all the games I own. Great collection btw.

silent hill 3 is incredible. I played it on Halloween this year.
So youre hoarding it with no intention of using it? Sell it online so other people get a chance to play
make sure your wife loves gaming too,or she's gonna sell in a garage sale for $2 when your concious not here.
I have silent hill origins still sealed and the greatest hits of S2 is worth more than the original.
One pricey ps2 game I'm after is mister mosquito. Really weird game.

It’s not rare, just expensive. There’s probably hundreds of copies on Ebay at any given moment.
Def Jam Fight for NY is my most expensive game in my collection.

@@RetroMediaRoom I’ll admit it cost way more than I would have liked but it’s a gem in my collection. So is Godzilla Save the Earth. I didn’t pay anywhere near what it’s worth now lol.
So I just looked up the Devil Summoner games sealed and they do not have the security stickers on them. From what I can see on yours and a couple ebay pics, I am pretty certain they are original sealed. I'm not a pro by any means but I do collect sealed games.
Thanks for looking into that. Yeah that's the same conclusion I came to, since I ordered them from Amazon years ago I wasn't absolutely certain.
Amazingly i own almost all those games too and my devil summoner is sealed too a collector like me but I wonder if you heard of r.a.d. for PS2 and samurai Western
I do have RAD and love that game, also Samurai Western is on this list, I still need to play it.

I have a fatal frame 3 that is sealed like that devil summoner. I'm not even 100% if it's legit or not because the price was too good to be true
Turns out mine are legit, but it's still unfortunate that re-sealing to inflate the value does happen.

Yep that's always an option, which is important to preservation because otherwise many games would be lost forever.
