I hope the biggest thing that people take out of a video like this is that despite how much these games may have passed the eyes of gamers initially, its always a good idea to remind gamers thhe amount of good games that have always been available for that system and that they deserve to be played and enjoyed. With the prices of some of these unknown slowly going up in later years, I hope people can look at these games beyond their rarity and price tag and see them as great games that still have the ability to remain enjoyable and timeless. A video like this will help people and give people a good idea of what games need to be played and enjoyed.
Hey umm do you know of the name of a game I used to have when I was a kid? If I recall its effectively twisted metal but with a futuristic twist. I recall that one of the cars looked like a sort of sci fi firetruck and how there were two motorcycles you could use. There was this one car that I believe had some sort of electric generator on it which it used as the source of its special weapon. I do recall that one motorcycle was red while the other was blue. I think the blue one's special weapon was a sort of energy cannon that appears on one side indicating its ready to fire. It was a fun game.
@GamezOfWar I really do miss your videos. I hope you come back 1 day because if it wasn't for you. I wouldn't have New about some of these games or got into collecting.
Injustice Agree. I'd choose the PS2 over the PS4 anyday. Same with the Xbox, I'd choose the original Xbox over the Xbox One. The sixth generation of console's is far superior to this nonsense console generation.
This "french man" was played by Jean Reno man... I think it should have been mentioned given the fact it was big back then for a real actor to appear in a video game as a playable caracter ;-)
You know it's a true blessing for me to have come across your channel. You make collecting for me fun again. I feel you give the most in depth and knowledgeable reviews. Plus I am a major Sega fan boy. Thank you again man.
I treated myself with a backwards compatible ps3 (my slim died :( ) for Christmas and I started collecting ps2 games now that I can finally play them. As always game GamezOfWar got me covered with these collection videos and I already found about so many games I want to collect. It’s been a while since your last video but even the old ones are always a pleasure to watch! You’re the best!!!
In my opinion the PS2 generation is the peak of console gaming, Dragon Quest VIII is my favorite game of all time without it I would have not get into RPG.
Coming from a person that grew up in the 8-bit and 16-bit eras, I have to say that I actually agree with +The Positiver on that one, +TerrariumFusilage1. Also, the PS2 library has the largest library of games ever, namely, it is about as big as the NES AND SNES libraries, INCLUDING Japanese, European, hack, and homebrew titles, combined.
Of all the great game reviewers on youtube, this guy seems the most level headed. He hypes games without the blind love others have and is willing to still point out weaknesses in the games he loves. He also doesn't shit on game for comedy or anything and even if the game has many weak points he also highlights what the game does right. He is a guy that would be awesome to hang out with and game.
I just got a ps2 for $3 and i havent touched my ps4 for two weeks i literally cant stop playing it both for nostalgia and all the freaking amazing games
Great video man. I've just gotten into collecting for PS2 and I love the massive library and general availability of the games. You really know your shit and point out why the games are good rather than only talking about value or prices. Glad I found your channel, good luck and keep at it!
GamezOf War the PS2 plays all PS1 games the same the PS3, what is horrible is how I have many Japanese PS2 games and I don't understand Japanese, there is a need for translating those games.
Thanks so much for making this video, man! I really appreciate all the work you must have put into creating this. It's an immense help to get some orientation in the highly diverse field of PS2 games!
I am so glad I stumbled upon this video and your channel. I am in the process of rebuilding my PS2 collection, and there are some wonderful recommendations in this video. Subscribed.
been playing my ps2 again. what a console. it was an amazing time for gaming. too many games to even talk about in one vid, but you did a hell of a job. subbed.
Such a great video. Invaluable for someone who is going back to the PS2 and collecting games that I missed when they originally came out. It's clear that I was led too much by media reviews
A lot of great information on all of the different systems. Nice to see someone that not only collects the games but plays them as well. Find myself watching thru all of your videos taking notes of obscure titles to keep an eye out for. New subscriber hoping for some updated additional content. Great work!
Strange how games that aren't as ancient as 80s and 90s classics could still make me feel such nostalgia. I'd forgotten how many PS2 era games I played and missed. Excellent video in that regard. Also love the fact that you left in the "the mountains are straight up straight down" reaction when talking about that BMX game. Authentic and hilarious. Keep up the good work though, literally brought back nothing but good memories.
And here the video that brought back my interest in the Ps2. Very well done, very captivating and very interesting. With such an extensive library as this and psone too you have subject for years to come. You might just become the next internet new favourite gaming curator. More please.
Best channel on RUclips. Ive commented on here before but man u get me hell g'd up to play games. Im just getting into PS2 n PS1 now hey lol bit late but hey its got so much on it. I never knew the arcade ports and rpgs. Like the games u see in Australia that people have are not the ones that u show or Radical Reggie shows. I had no idea. The more I see the more I think damn why didn't I play this so long ago.
Im a great fan of your good taste, THX for sharing games that i have never played before, definitely gonna try some of them, is not easy to sit there and talk about such diversity of games on all the videos like you do.
just stumbled across your channel RUclips recommended. you sir have just earned yourself a sub. now I can't wait to watch some more videos of yours, cheers!
This makes me believe you have played every game in your collection or at the majority, and that makes me feel like your games are loved. You are a good man.
That One Podcast yea bro, a lot of channels out there feature people that just buy,buy,buy..play 5 minutes and then shelf it! Which I guess is whatever, but then don't make a video recommending said games...really annoying and defeats the purpose of making videos, really...thanks for watching bro!
Love this episode and now have sub to you. Man i just picked up a ps2 slim black and im collecting all these great JRPG games for it. Finally i get into the ps2 lmao
Thanks for this video man. Iv'e been looking for good games on the Ps2 that have flown under my radar to add to the collection, and this video has been a tremendous help! So much more in depth than anything else iv'e found on youtube, with some great games no one else seems to be talking about. Keep up the good work!
The ps2 is my best and favorite system ever and I loved your guide and happy to have found out on some games I've forgotten about or missed out on. Thank you again for your amazing guides.
Thanx for your input on all these PS2 games. Great video, u seem very knowledgeable in the fact that u have experience actually playing all these games. That's awesome in my book man, keep it up!
Bobby8451 yea man, there are a lot of "read from Wikipedia channels" out there..,it's very obvious to me right away!! Thanks for the kind words man, really appreciate it!
Awesome video and collection discussion! The ps2 is abundant with fantastic games from rpgs to every genre. The drakengard series definitely deserves more love! Chaos legion is a game i use to remember seeing around often and wanting try it but then i completely forgot about its existence, its great that you talked about it. I also might give rogue galaxy a go in the ps4 psn!
Thanks for the video! I found my self having too many old PS2 games that got remastered collecting dust. I needed new exclusives only released on PS2 to keep on enjoying my PS2 console!
First video i've watched of you and i loved it great job. Well made I enjoyed it very much, made me feel nostalgic because i've played most of these games your talking about when i was a young kid
Very very nice video! I'm not a collector but you showed a lot of not well known games that no one talks about (it's hard to find games like these). Thanks to you, I have a lot of new games to check out! I love the format, and how you show the footage in the corner as you talk. I hope you do more PS2 videos! It truly is the best console! Good work! Mad props for mentioning Shadow of Destiny. That game needs more love
KaibaVsExodia yea man, I have tried other ways.,,but the corner footage seems to work best... I have a new camera now, so it should look even better in 1080p/60fps..and yea PS2 is amazing!! Gets better as the years pass on..shadow of destiny is still so badass!! I have it on PS2 and PSP!! Mad love!!
Haven't watched your videos in quite sometime but this one is well detailed, never knew about some of these games until now and I own a PS2. Great job and I like your content!
thx for jogging my memory of Maximo. i was trying to remember which game i played as a teen and i was trying to remember for 10 years since i now have a PS2. thx so much
This video is great! SO many games I've never heard of. Appreciate your commentary. Would be cool if you got a new camera and microphone and did some cuts to full screen the games. Other than that I really appreciate this list and your commentary. This is a gold mine of games.
Awesome, excellent, great video. I had to comment again because I really wanted to congratulate you, dude. I have a gaming channel and I too like to elaborate deep on each of the games that I show. Hats off, thumbs up, and of course, subscribed.
new subscriber here! lol really love this vid! i played clock Tower 2 on psx and was one of my favorite games on 1st ps .... thanks for the knowledge bro! ill be watching another vids on you channel! lol
Ugh I want to play Kuon so dang bad, Siren looks pretty cool too. Thanks so much for this video, I'm obsessed with the PS1 &2 and just bought a ps2 last year again. Your videos gave me so many excellent recommendations. So glad I found your channel.
I really like how the horror games from ps2 generation managed that disturbing athmosphere with a very low amount of cheap jumpscares we see in horror games now (I mostly blame Amnesia for this...)
BRO you're AWESOME! Thank you for making this video envy of your amazing collection you showed up some good hidden gems, now i know what i need to play on ps2!
Josh. You put out some great in depth videos with TONS of titles mentioned in each video. Keep up the good work man its definitely appreciated. Great to finally hear your thoughts on the 4 "Level-5" titles! Full on review/retrospective on them at some point?? Anyways great video buddy.
Yea man, I really could do a proper episode on level 5... They put out some great games on ps2 I even really like fantasy Life on 3DS quite a bit! Yo-Kai Watch, not so much..but as always, great to hear from you!
Just found your channel. It seems like you actually have played these games which is good, I'm always looking for stuff I missed. I think RUclips is filled with people who never played most the stuff they show. Just going with crowd.
Really awesome video, As someone building a PS2 library, It's really nice to see all these unique games on PS2 that we don't get anymore. I'd say a big RPG I was a fan of on PS2 was Suikoden Tactics amazing RPG game.
Straight up .. straight down lol had me laughing . Thanks for leaving that in 😂 awesome games you talked about .. agreed with 90% of the games you talked about
Just an amazing video. Seriously, thank you for doing this. I really enjoyed this video a lot... a blast from the past. There were some hidden gems I think you did miss, however... Psi-Ops: The Mindgate Conspiracy - It was made by Midway before they went under. You had all these psychic powers and it was one of the first true really well-done "ragdoll physics" games that was just a lot of fun to mess around in. I used to love playing as Scorpion from Mortal Kombat in this one. One of my favorite games of all-time and an absolute blast. I remember beating this game like 40-50 times as a kid. The Suffering & The Suffering: Ties That Bind - In my opinion, the most underrated game series from the PS2/OG Xbox era. They were horror but a more modern horror in terms psychological damage. I loved these games and if I'm not mistaken, they had multiple endings. Mortal Kombat: Shaolin Monks - I know MK isn't exactly a "rare" series or anything but this game is so often overlooked. It had an absolutely amazing combat engine and was probably the best couch co-op game I had ever played at the time. Going through and seeing these MK characters in their own levels was amazing. You could unlock Sub-Zero and Scorpion and they had completely different move-sets from Liu Kang and Kung Lao. Man, I wanna play this game just thinking about it...
Well done man, fellow collector here like yourself and now a new subscriber. Of course my collection is NOTHING compared to yours but glad to see we ps2 era fans are not as few and far between as it feels.
I feel the same about the 2 Maximo games and all the Onimusha's. Godhand was something I didn't really get into when it first came out but I have been playing it now and it's super fun. I don't know if I even knew about Blood Will Tell but I tried it out and it IS good so thanks for the recomendation.
My mom actually bought that game new for myself about a decade ago (I also owned the other two Budokai games as well) at a local Wal-Mart, +Baddaz XAkatsuki214.
I'd honestly have to say it hasn't been since the last time I went straight-up/straight-down on a bike when I played a straight-up👆straight-down bike game.
Great video man, just subbed to your channel ! Hopefully one day I'll get to play Rule of Rose, saw it at Game Exchange for around $160 a few years ago
Nice video dude....you have alot of fantacy adventure there....I don't have a big collection but gotta mention these ones: Psi - Op's: The Mindgate Conspiricy / The Suffering / The Thing / Urban Chaos / Cold Winter / Project Snowblind / Indigo Prophecy / Manhunt
Alan Burke I love the games you mentioned!!! PSi Ops is such an amazing game!! midway was on fire back then!!! Also loved the suffering games!!! Indigo Prophecy just blew me away!! I still remember the sweat pouring off my hands gripping the controller in the open scene in the bathroom when the cops were getting up!! So intense!!
Retro games are getting way too expensive nowadays. People are moving to PC gaming and downloading ROM sites to play emulator games. Digital is the future and people no longer buying cartridge or disc games anymore from stores.
You didn't mention it during the video, but I spotted Crimson Tears on the table at around 16:20 which is a really good game. Okami may not be that rare but it was certainly underrated. Also have you got/played the Syberia and Everblue games on PS2. Great video by the way.
5 years later and this is still one of my favorite videos you have ever done.
this is how games should be reviewed
Thanks so much bro! made my day!
BTW that "straight up straight down" part on the downhill domination part was so fucking funny. Gold material bro
STRONGLY SECONDED!!

Karis AsaNi motor mayhem if I remember corectly.
Thank you. Been away from gaming for over 10 years. Much of this is new to me.
@GamezOfWar I really do miss your videos. I hope you come back 1 day because if it wasn't for you. I wouldn't have New about some of these games or got into collecting.
PS2 is the home of AA games. A perfect mix of gameplay, art, and story.
The ps2 is still a boss console even in 2017 i am finding games i have never heard about and some hidden gems.
Injustice love me some PS2
Injustice Agree. I'd choose the PS2 over the PS4 anyday. Same with the Xbox, I'd choose the original Xbox over the Xbox One. The sixth generation of console's is far superior to this nonsense console generation.
I play my ps2 the most to this day. Such a badass console. It really pulled me back into old school gaming.

PS2 is an amazing console, there are hundreds of games, and most people don't know many of them.
Fernando Salazar yea man, the best variety of any console!! Only the DS comes close for sheer variety!! Although the PS4 is coming on strong!!
GamezOf War the PS2 plays all PS1 games the same the PS3, what is horrible is how I have many Japanese PS2 games and I don't understand Japanese, there is a need for translating those games.
I've had 80 percent of these games at one point. Time went on. My ps2 broke and we moved. now they're all gone 😭. Love the nostalgia!
Thanks so much for making this video, man!

They put out some great games on ps2
I even really like fantasy Life on 3DS quite a bit!
Yo-Kai Watch, not so much..but as always, great to hear from you!
Just found your channel. It seems like you actually have played these games which is good, I'm always looking for stuff I missed. I think RUclips is filled with people who never played most the stuff they show. Just going with crowd.
i love ur passion with video games man
Really awesome video, As someone building a PS2 library, It's really nice to see all these unique games on PS2 that we don't get anymore. I'd say a big RPG I was a fan of on PS2 was Suikoden Tactics amazing RPG game.
Since you liked that game, give Tears To Tiara II a go on the PS3. For me that game is one of the very best tactical games ever made, no joke.
Psi-Ops: The Mindgate Conspiracy
- It was made by Midway before they went under.
The Suffering & The Suffering: Ties That Bind
- In my opinion, the most underrated game series from the PS2/OG Xbox era. They were horror but a more modern horror in terms psychological damage. I loved these games and if I'm not mistaken, they had multiple endings.
Mortal Kombat: Shaolin Monks
- I know MK isn't exactly a "rare" series or anything but this game is so often overlooked.
Man, your collection of ps2 games is beautiful... I admire you.
Thx man!! Never thought that the shit would get so pricey!
Thanks man

Murderous Johnny it's a great horror game for sure!!
Excellent video my man you always go deep with this shit and I love it
Thanks so much man! really appreciate it!
I feel the same about the 2 Maximo games and all the Onimusha's. Godhand was something I didn't really get into when it first came out but I have been playing it now and it's super fun. I don't know if I even knew about Blood Will Tell but I tried it out and it IS good so thanks for the recomendation.

GamezOf War Where to buy dbz budokai tenkaichi 3
KON that's right
My mom actually bought that game new for myself about a decade ago (I also owned the other two Budokai games as well) at a local Wal-Mart, +Baddaz XAkatsuki214.
The game was inspired by the movie "Ben-Hur" and "Gladiator"
LOL "Children are fucking creepy." The best line ever!
I tell you what bro...kids in real life are great man!! Kids in rule of rose are creepy as fuuuuuuccc******
Sorry I laughed at that pause too, man I love your vids seriously!!! :)
27:35 - 27:45 I laughed my chest off. Too funny
It’s just insane how much money it has become.
@@GamezOfWar 💯💯
Great video! I have a lot of the same tastes as you in games. I'm going to pick up some of these games! Thanks!
Thank you for watching!
Dude. your channel rules. Your enthusiasm is contagious. Do you have a simial vid for ps1?
KomonHouseholdObjex I need to get one out soon!! So many amazing games on ps1
KomonHouseholdObjex just uploaded it.
Nice video dude....you have alot of fantacy adventure there....I don't have a big collection but gotta mention these ones:
Psi - Op's: The Mindgate Conspiricy / The Suffering / The Thing / Urban Chaos / Cold Winter / Project Snowblind / Indigo Prophecy / Manhunt
Your collection is just epic
