Been without power, water, food, and a phone or home network for 7 days due to hurricane Helene and as soon as the Verizon network came back I was blessed with a new Coheed song which in turn means a new Coheed Album is on the way. The rock Gods are saying everything is gonna be ok. It’ll shine when it shines. The new song rocks just what I needed in this difficult time

I’ve been waiting for this song for a long time. So good.
I came into this song with a terrible headspace and was pushed off. I destroyed that headspace and now realize I can get down to this song. I love a non-mention song of an album as a single. Wonderful. Also the song is hard. ass fuck.

This is the reason we all love Coheed! They put out a pop song with auto-tuned vocals, then follow it up with a thrash punk song. Not a lot of bands have this kind of versatility.

I mean, there is still lots of vocal processing in this song as well. This has more screaming than normal but it's not a thrash song by any stretch of the imagination. The chorus is pop punk with the "yeah, yeah, yeah" hook.. The last song they put out was Deranged which is basically just classic a C&C ballad. The Joke has poppier vocals than this song but the guitar hook is heavily dissonant and not "pop".

@@CarlTheSpud Don't act like an expert Coheed snob when you haven't educated yourself on the latest albums. Do yourself and the rest of us a favor and listen to Vaxis Act I and Vaxis Act II. I'll admit that when Act I came out I wasn't really into it and was holding on to those earlier albums. When Act II came out, I listened to both and found new love for them. Like many of the earlier albums, Vaxis I and II have helped me through very difficult times and are part of the reason I am still around to type this to you today.
