Nadir Focus gives +2 range per shot. Also gives a 1.5 decreased accuracy cone size per shot both stack to 5x.
Max is +10 range and 7.5% decreased accuracy cone size.

I have 4800 kills on my adept shayuras. I got it before foundry perks, and when I came back to the game, shayuras was gone😞

I got 3 different godrolls immediately LOL. I am absolutely loving the new version. One thing you didn't spend much time on is how much more range the new one can get. Between keep away and nadir focus, shayuras can get up to 22 more range leaving room for other stats. This is REALLY important because it lets you run fluted barrel, making the handling feel amazing even if you aren't on titan which has always been a problem for me. I got a roll with fluted, light mag, keep away, KC, stability MW for a total of 78 range with high stability and handling. When I need the range from keep away, I have it bringing that up to 90, and after firing just 5 shots that goes to 100. Old shayuras was a range monster, new shayuras is a stat monster.
It took me like 40 wins or something. Said to myself, 1 more win. Got a Corkscrew - Ricochet - ZenM - TtT - Range MW that last game.
RNG blessed me as well this weekend. 17 total games, 3 5/5 rolls, (1PvE, 2 PvP). Got them and got out because that map and the ability spam was obnoxious lol.

Try getting it done on Friday if you are soloing. That always works for me, Saturday and Sundays can be a real pain.

I've always found that Trials is a crapshoot when it comes to matchmaking. For some reason I struggled like hell last week but this week i managed to barely drag myself to the lighthouse. Weirdly enough the games afterwards were easier... maybe it was the lack of stress at feeling that I NEEDED to perform perfectly.
It's been the worst in modern gaming for years, nobody can convince you otherwise. It's awful. ATROCIOUS and doesn't work. Love having a .8 k/d in Trials and getting 2 blueberries vs a stack of 2+s about to enter the lighthouse. SUPER fair. SUPER consistent...
@@Dynasty1818 oh it's 100% wildly inconsistent. Not really sure what happened on the back end but I'm of the opinion that Matchmaking is a myth.
I'm still not a fan of deterministic recoil. It makes the recoil cone in the stat display completely meaningless. I don't like having to guess which is what, with no way to know other than literally testing every single recoil pattern, which isn't possible on anything other than actual crafted weapons. Case in point, I thought I had a good shiny Elsie's Rifle, had everything I wanted, but oh, turns out the only way to get the recoil under control is to have it at... 83. And it's gone now. I have no way to make that gun useable and I can never get it again.
I've got 5k kills with my max range Killing Wind/Kill Clip adept Shayura's, which and I'm happy with that.
It’s a shame celerity can’t be rolled anymore. Still have my adept with tunnel vision and either celerity or kill clip

I farmed plenty Adept rolls, and due to the Nadir Origin Trait, I think Dynamic Sway Kill Clip or Dynamic Swap Tap Trigger are THE PLAYS. Personal opinion of course
My teammate RNG was atrocious on this dog shit map, I kept getting brain dead teammates that would just jump out in the open and get clapped. I seriously couldn’t get more than 3 wins. They seriously need to add a system if you are playing solo that if someone quits on your team you don’t get a loss on your card. Especially for a Mercy card. Go flawless on all other rotations…. Does anyone know when this SMG will come back into rotation?
Agreed, nothing is more frustrating than randoms leaving Trials matches that still have a chance to come back and it ruining the card
It'll probably be about two months until it comes back into rotation with the 2 weeks of IB and other 5(?) guns in rotation
I'm happy to see you also pair Shayura with a Discord Succession. I think the two really shine, and Cascade Point is a perk worth mastering

Got an adept roll with a ranged mw, Fluted Barrel, Flared Mag, Keep Away, and Kill Clip and its a monster. Even with no range from the barrel or mag options, it still reaches 101 range thanks to enhanced Keep Away giving +12, Nadir Focus giving +10, and an adept range mod for another +10. All while amping handling, stability, and reload thanks to Fluted Barrel and Flared Magwell.
That’s a rough roll tbh. SMGs need as much range as possible and zen moment really makes the gun much better on both inputs. I’m on mnk

I've been living in this thing's shadow for so long, and haven't really had my time in the sun since Season of Arrivals.
That's season 11. The current episode is the equivalent of season 24. That's how long its been since GH was really special.
I just thank bungie for giving me flashbacks with Khvostov at this point.
I'll be honest, I'm happy with where 600s are for the most part right now, I just want a reprised GH with an origin + new traits. But seeing Shayura come back again, again, again, with more and more to it every single time, while it continues to be more dominant than any 600rpm auto rifle in literally every single meta. While the most I get is being able to focus gambit engrams into legacy drops of the gnawing hunger I already have a perfect godroll on from Season 11, or "hey, here's summoner! use summoner! its the only 600 auto you're allowed to have reprised! You don't even get the prophecy dungeon 600 auto reprised!! WE REPLACED IT WITH A 600RPM SMG TOO!". And its not like I didn't get reprised reckoning weapons, or a good origin trait on them - no, just not the ones that weren't sunset, including Gnawing Hunger, the one I really cared about most. And I didn't even add that my second favorite 600rpm auto is the Last Breath. No origin, no reprised perks, again, literally replaced by a 600rpm SMG. I'm maining summoner at this point in that regard because Bungie clearly doesn't want me to do anything else if I don't intend on using their new exotic, and I say that as one of the few people who seems to like Perpetualis enough to keep using it too. And I really don't like the feel of summoner as much as the others.. its just objectively the best option, and bungie keeps making it better, instead of giving me something really special. Familiar. Comfortable. Like Shayura lovers have gotten handed to them for free on a repeating loop. As reward for kicking 600 auto lovers while they were down when Shayura first dropped.

One thing the new one is missing from the older version are the ADS strafe speed perks (moving target and elemental capacitor(stasis)). Putting those together on the old version while using peacekeepers feels like sprinting while ADSing. It was a really strong combo which is gone now. Also now there is no accurized rounds which gave +10 range vs. the +5 range from ricochet, armor piercing, high cal rounds, and light mag. This was more relevant on a non adept old shayuras because you could hit 94 range with no adept range mod. On the new non adept shayuras, you can only hit 89 range with max range perks on the weapon. If you are really worried about this 5 range deficit, you can always just run keep away to make up for it. There is no equivelant to the maximum ADS strafe speed roll on the new version, so it is really the only viable older shayuras wrath roll at this point (or any combo with either moving target or elemental capacitor + stasis).
I would have loved to see some discussion in the video about using shayuras wrath with peacekeepers on titan. This has been one of, if not the strongest build for trials throughout year six when it is paired with conditional finality or chaperone and void subclass. I understand why you may not have wanted to use smg + shotgun on multiplex, though.
would like to add that accurized rounds is much better than the current version's mag options. it's far better than ricochet rounds since this thing already is so stable with dynamic sway and zen moment.

This was one of THE WORST weekends in trials I've ever played. I still went flawless and farmed my god roll, but this map is absolutely terrible for competitive pvp. Just a bunch of people hard scoping lanes with scout rifles until they get a pick. Insanely boring and irritating af.
Really easy to get the non adept version. Just randomly drops after match wins. Got a few great rolls. Get in there pvp scrub (im the scrub😊)

i got over 4000 kills on the year 5 version of shayura so seeing it as the adept weapon this weekend i knew i had to get it. just got flawless last night and i lost a bit of sleep in farming but i got a completely juiced roll so it was worth it
Its funny cuz I tryed the old shyras a few weeks ago and it was harder to control than I remember then I got a dsr tap adept this weekend and it felt like I remember it feeling waayy back when I guess I aimed better? Idk anyways yeah this new one is nuts and Im a hc main 😂 I wanted dsr tap and I got it and its a dream also my first time getting the adept so very happy thus far.

it's annoying strategist is in the same column as repulsor brace, because I'd love to use it on my void Secant Filaments warlock with child of the old gods, since that procs devour whenever I pop my rift, getting rift energy back is amazing, which is why I have a whole bunch of "The Title" rolls in my vault, destabilizing rounds repulsor brace is amazing, but it's got poor reload time, poor accuracy and poor range, but it's great for PVE

I got a quickdraw/celerity roll that never felt good and so I never used it. I just got a DSR & KC roll with 82 range and 69 stability and haven’t put it down yet. It’s an amazing weapon.
I got a discord and harmony role on shayuras and MY GOD I've never felt so disgusting on a peacekeeper titan in my life. Not even immortal pre-nerf felt as ew as this lmao. Can play it multiple ways too. Full ape someday or even a HC with shayura's. It's so versatile as a switch weapon it's not even funny
I tried around 20 different rolls, and ultimately found that for me personally Zen Moment/Target lock with corkscrew and high cal, with a range MW. I truly love it alot, it feels sooooooo good, it just sort of makes it consistent
I'm deffo never getting an adept rn. I'm on last gen console cause I can't afford to upgrade and half the time when I enter crucible everyone's character model isn't loading besides their guns so repeatedly hitting headshots is a pain given I can't actually see their head. Shits annoying cause there's no real reason why crucible should be running so much worse now when it was fine before. There's no way it has to do with prismatic either. You could argue that more abilities being thrown with transcendence is making my machine have to work harder but I NEVER had this issue when playing mayhem which is constant ability spam
I just got the perfect Shayura's Wrath God roll (Not Adept) for me but the Masterwork sucks. I wish we could change the Masterwork. 😭
Keep away tap the trigger is the best I've played with. The biggest pro is the set recoil pattern though. Don't use 100, 100 sucks. 95 is amazing
did Bungie slowly phase out Heating Up or something? it’s one of my favorite perks and it’s barely available on anything these days. it’s even getting removed from a bunch of weapons!

Imo this version is a downgrade in pve because of the losses of golden tricorn & adrenaline junkie but I can see it being a superior version in pvp vs older rolls

I’ve been trying out zen with kill clip and enhanced target lock. And I can’t tell if enhanced target lock does much for the gun. What do you think now that it’s been months since the guns release?
I recently got back into D2 since a hiatus that started at the end of Red War. I did a lot of pvp in D1 and at the beginning of D2, seeing this gun being run by everyone is insane lol. I got one that actually ended up being close to a god roll and used it once in iron banner before putting it back in my vault. That smg is the ultimate noob gun lmao, to the point I'd be downright embarrassed to be seen running it. Have we really gotten so lazy as a player base that we want pvp wins handed to us on a silver platter?
I still love my Moving Target+Adrenaline Junkie Adept roll for PvE, from when it first came out.

Deterministic Recoil being the powercreep factor is really hard to take.
Shayura is one of three flawless weeks I've had and farming it afterwards got me a 72 Range (before Adept Range) with KW/GT or KC and 89 Range (before Adept Range) with Perpetual Motion/KC or Snapshot, so I really don't feel like bashing my head in for another Adept drop.
The new one is much less "all-in" on raw range stat thanks to it rolling with the three +5 Range mags in the pool instead of a single Accurized rounds, and having Nadir focus (+10 range after 5 hit marks) and Keep Away (+10 range) in the third column.
I cant use Shayuras after the sights were changed, the sights bounce too much for me to feel comfortable using it. I hate it I really like it shayuras but cant use it

I have 60k kills on the old shayuras and nearly 24k with the same old one in trials and I felt a significant and noticeable change after using the new one. The deterministic recoil is no joke. I put 500+ kills on the new one this weekend and I will be dropping the high kill count for this new one. Removing even more rng from my duel is huge! Thanks for the video, once again!❤

Why use Shayura when Gnawing hunger exists?
They have the same optimal TTK, with shayura’s offering one body shot of forgiveness over gnawing hungers 10 crits for the .80
In the range department gnawing hunger wins 10/10 times. Its range goes to 30 meters whereas the ceiling for smgs including shayuras is around 20 meter (I think 22 meters if you kill your stability for full bore and accurized).
The only benefit of shayuras is that it can still be obtained and it has adept perks. But if gnawing hunger ever gets reissued, it’s over for shayuras
For specifics on stats a god roll shayura (small bore, ricochet rounds, zen moment, kill clip, range mw) has
- 81 range (21.78m)
- 61 stability
- 27 handling
- 24 reload
- 60 aim assist
- 15 zoom
- 25 airborne
- 95 recoil
My gnawing hunger which is almost a god roll (polygonal rifling, accurized rounds, zen moment, kill clip, range mw) has
- 68 range (30.8m)
- 53 stability
- 63 handling
- 57 reload
- 65 aim assist
- 16 zoom
- 10 airborne
- 54 recoil (can confirm feels like 100 with zen)
Gnawing hunger can do everything shayuras does, but better. The only thing shayuras has going for it is obtainability for new players, adept mods, and deterministic recoil. If gnawing hunger ever gets reissued it will also get deterministic recoil meaning shayuras will only have adept mods going for it, while losing out on almost 10 meters of range.

I’m so used to my old one that this feels like it veers off to the right. But I’m just glad it’s back, I’m hunting for a killing wind, keep away, and zen with kill clip.
Easily the most overrated SMG. "Range of an AR" except it doesn't, it never has. Loses basically without fail to 900 SMGs or HCs at the same range, because the RoF is infuriatingly low. People just run away from you so easily due to the low RoF or kill you first. Had the old one, grabbed the new one, still feels the same no matter what - DSW and KC, still feels far, far, far too weak and slow.
As good as it is for precision frames I do agree. Often times I would rather have a shotty, and if they’re too far I can easily use my 140 out of shotty range. Or you could even get gunned by a sidearm with only 4-5m less range. Or get gunned by a 600 auto with 10m more range and also kill chaining perks 😂. But I’ll give it another shot when I get on as I was using 100 RCD. But my gripe was the ttk not the rcd

I didn’t get the “god roll” I wanted this weekend, but I DID get a Discord + Cascade Point Adept roll. I thought the two would work well together, but I didn’t realize HOW good Discord can pair with Cascade, FULLY refilling the mag on a kill, I’ve shredded in 1 v 3’s more than a couple times already because of that interaction, SO much fun, highly recommend, really takes people off guard.
So tired of metas… especially another sub machine gun meta. Hand cannons have too much range and aim assist, shotguns were reverted back to a one shot kill, auto rifles are a pain point, pulse rifles are on an uneven field where some archetypes will never compare to others. Sniper rifles are still trash but Bungie still has to have a meta of some sort because they just can’t help themselves. Can’t fix matchmaking (it’s been 10 years) but you bet your booty they’re gonna always have a meta.
How do you control there being a meta really ? Is something not gonna be better than something else majority of the time. It’s almost like trying to balance rock paper scissors no? I for one think that this is one of the most balanced sandboxes so far, while yes it also depends on the map(this weekend for example) but from my experience everything is pretty usable and you will see everything in your matches. ARs are good, HCs are good, pulses are good, shorties are good, slug shotties are good. SMGs are kinda where they need to be they are only annoying in the transmat system where I have 0 shotty ammo and someone is running around with infinite close range bullets. Fusions need to never be in the meta ever again but they are still good now.

I feel like even thought you mentioned it, you're still overlooking Keep Away. Most people I've seen in trials, including popular streamers, are all looking for Keep Away to stretch that range out as far as possible. This thing is a beam. You said it yourself. I feel like the range is more important than keeping this thing stable. I would argue that Sway/Zen/Tap are more important on 720s than on 600s.

Mh. This week Trials has been very boring. Awful campers. Bad MM balance. Tons of laggswitchers on console. At least I got some juicy stuff in the end. I should definitely stop grinding my ass off lol.
Unfortunately there is no snapshot/celerity. I love handling perks like these on 600 smgs. Old Shayura's and Antiope will remain my favorite PVP smgs until we get something comparable.

For smgs it’s hard to move past moving target (and even some autos) that strafe speed is amazing since I play T-step lock and heavily strafe in gunfights but I got a KW KC and ZEN KC roll (non adepts) I’ll have to try out then (old one I used was moving target TTT)
See, my old one has Moving target and kill clip with accurized and full bore, along with a handling masterwork. So with Adept range I get damn close to 100 on the bar, and you can't get moving target anymore. Moving target is HUGE I feel for smgs cause that strafe speed is no joke. Especially on peacekeepers or stompees, a strafe scalar can make you just that extra bit more annoying to have to hit, which is why it'll always be a keeper. I got smallbore, light mag, discord, and target lock with a handling masterwork on my adept one this week. It's okay. I'm bummed I didn't get better perks, cause I really don't want to have to farm trials
Zen + target lock is just a god tier PB & J. It allows you to take fights in thst 25m range and compete relatively easily. It’s insanely fun, but you do need god roll near max range to really get the most of it
Nadir focus is the cherry on top. Just makes Shayuras usable in duels it has no business taking
I got smallbore Ricochet Dynamic sway kill clip stability MW. It wasn't perfect as I would of preferred zen but good enough I couldn't be assed to keep grinding
Discord/Harmony is amazing for PvE and PvP. Requires changing up a lot of people's normal playstyles, but when you get used to it your combat flows so smoothly. On anything with Devour you can blow through content so easily. Just wish we could get some special weapons with the combo, right now there's only 1 and it's a shotgun.
Good video as always:) I was wondering a bit if you would ever do an updated "pvp guide" or something of the sort for new/returning players, or just people who struggle to perform, I see you doing a lot of specific things each video in the gameplay but can't really understand the why behind it, so a video on that or even a "what I'm thinking as I play" type video would be awesome :D
I got a zen moment kill clip roll and I’m loving it. Not sure whether I want dynamic or zen, but they’re both great. Haven’t got a tap the trigger roll yet, but it’d go well with dynamic, but kill clip is just so good

Did Bungie ever say if they were going to implement the special reticle they gave Shayura a year or two ago on other weapons? Did they forget about this experiment they did? I'd like to see other weapons with this kind of dynamic reticle because it looks really good.
