Can't imagine having a guitar store in my house. Happy for the dude. As a metal head, if I can't live the dream I am glad someone who is legit can. Some of us are winning at life at least.
Ola, I remember when you put the order in for the Duality. Daniel told me and I told him he should just give you one since we both would love to hear you use it. He messaged me back and said you insisted on paying full price. I gotta say my respect for you went up a few notches(not that it was low).
Most ppl like 2203 or 2204 cos they are so Legendary, but i prefer 2210 or 2205 had couple of chance to play with 2205 and man that was Awesome The cleans sre actually really good on that Amp, and The drive section goes enything from AcDc to guns and roses and Judas Priest, and If you want More harsh stuff just put DS-1 on front and you shall get your 80's thrashmetal Sounds 🤟🔥 Also liked The SS version of that Amp The 3310 lead mosfet 100w thats The second best solid state head on whole world, only peavey XXL better because 3 channels😂
Should've grabbed that GE-7 you had on the pedal shelve instead to be a little more authentic, they boosted with boss EQs so it'd be a better fit for a slayer themed rig.
@@richarddeeble09 The only exception being when Kerry got his signature JCM800 head he stopped using the EQ boost because he had it built into the amp.

They didn't use boost in front of the amps because they have it in their guitars : emg PA2 for kerry (he stopped using it when He got the ability to push the gain with his signature MXR 10 band EQ) and EMG after burner for hanneman... But what nobody Said is what voltage do they run their emg's...
You should get a humidifier for that room your guitars are in. I do that in my music room and it keeps the room at 45% humidity in the winter. It’s worked immensely!!
Thanks! I live in the cold Rocky Mountains in Montana, USA. I bought a new guitar in June and now the frets are sprouting and sharp are hell. I thought it was just a defect as my other electrics have bound fretboards with nubs and dont do that. I like my new guitar so im happy its not defective. Any more cold climate tips? I just moved here a few years ago so it'd help.
As Mike said, a humidifier, I'm going to add a hygrometer to that, unless it's built in. You want it around 45 to 55% humidity. That usually fixes the fret sprout, assuming it wasn't there when you bought the guitar. Cheers. 🍻🍻🍻
3:19 I love how literally no one is there asking him why he is doing things that way, but he feels the need to say why, then acts like we have been interrogating him on his methods lol idk why but that cracked me up
Is there a chance we're going to see the A1.6D+ with the brushed fluence pickups again? I missed out on that run and have been keeping an eye out for it to come back. Or A1.7...I'd probably buy both.
i get provoked to jealousy because i was ahead of you, being 62, but i am not a success story, yet i can stand with guys at your skill level ...i but i never followed through, because addiction, then religiosity ...but i am very happy for you Ola!
Stock 800s are shit for metal - modded or boosted with the right pedal and an EQ in the loop, they are beasts! I personally prefer the JVMs for metal when it comes to Marshalls - DSL20/100H, another underrated gem!
To be fair, a 2205 could be considered the equivalent of a 2203 with an 808 in front of it due to the diode clipping. The KK amp with The Beast is also a boosted JCM 800 built-in.
I f'n love you, Ola...... Imagine being able to be like "lets go full Slayer or Dime today.... I'mma need *This* amp, *That* amp, *This* B.C Rich.. This man's living 102% of his viewers dream... from being a Goober (himself) 2:02 & he is my funny speaking twin 😅

I see youve got the Digitech heavy metal distortion!! Its my fovorite pedal, It burned due to an explosión in my house, the same with my guitar and amp, could you sell It to me?
And I always wonder how people keep their guitars in tune....I have some nice guitars that I have to tune constantly...are they just not set up property, or?
Good rig. It was my first rig… 1987 JCM 800 2203.. I still have it. Your BC rich guitar is one of the cheap platinum series. It’s a little bit better than the bronze series that’s about it. It’s cool though. All my BC Rich were USA custom shop, or NJ or extreme series. . Your platinum warlock is like the equivalent of your S series, solar.. lol cheap. That’s why you have hard time tuning it. Cheap. Like your solar sht. It’s ass.
A little highly saturated sound not really my thing but it doesn't sound bad good for metal. I would say change the pick ups and go from there maybe Seymour Duncan Blackouts would be good.
He is. There's pretty much zero chance that Slayer is going to go back to full time touring, which is what King wants, rather than just playing 1 off festival dates.
Adding gain in front of a JCM-800 to get a better tone is like a girl putting on more make-up thinking it makes her more pleasing to the eyes: its often true but we all knows its fake.

love the 800..proper brutal tone
Full chug. As a JCM800 player in the 90s I wholeheartedly endorse this video (as does my tinnitus).

tone sounds so great, really great playing too.
I have the Kerry King signature jcm 800.. really awesome tone.
The only 2203 I like.
Here in Canada they could be found for 1000-1200 about 10 years ago. Now they are 3000….
The jcm 800 is such a legendary amp head.
My first amp at age 18. Unfortunately I sold it for way too little in 2000.

That 800 sounds great! Awesome video Ola.😊
I used a Marshall 2205 for years and it was a great amp and was extremely reliable as well.
Not only Boss RGE-10 Equalizer But also Sad Face GE-7 gives you Slayer tone attached to JCM-800 or any Marshall
KK uses a jcm800 2203 boosted with a MXR 10band eq. That is a 2205 model and sounds nothing like KK gear.
exactly. the 2 channels are different..
but holt does use silver jubilees and the 2210/2205 is similar..
I had one of those heads and the Master Volume thing was definitely something to watch out for.

I've always ran a Boss GE-7 in a frown face with the output cranked through a properly cranked Marshall. Voila, Kerry King tone.
You absolutely nailed that tone

Get a can of non corrosive to plastics contact cleaner and a pot cleaner cap. It'll fix that scratchy volume pot right up .
FWIW Slayer used JCM800 single channel 2203's, not dual channel 2205/2210's
