the problem today there are many tools you do not know what will fits you that is why you have to try it all one by one and find it for yourself thats what I saw that makes hard for a designer or a developer to do
For most small businesses that are looking at these options the design quality of their website is much less important that so many other aspects of the business. Anyone can create a nice looking website including AI…driving traffic to your site is the key
Your video provides the most extensive coverage of almost all website builder options out there. A couple of the easy ones for beginners that I know are Hostinger and Durable but I can understand why they didn't even make it to the list lol. I can't wait to try out ReadyMag & Cargo! The notion website option blew my mind. I never thought about it, as much as I use it on my daily basis. Also, thank you for letting us know free options. Because seriously some of us have a very, very limited budget to start with.
This was SUPER helpful! I'm actually a Squarespace fan and will still use it, but I ALWAYS like looking at counterarguments because of the fees and the lack of flexibility (I'm leaning how to code and have been for a year now...slowly getting better, so I completely understand why someone would not prefer Squarespace). But Squarespace grid alignment feature ensures your elements are properly aligned relative to other elements. The clean and professional look of Squarespace for me is preferable.
I use Elementor--hear me out lol--and it's easy to ensure your elements are properly aligned. In fact, just about all of the major builders these days now ensure you can properly align your elements

Really useful video! Just one thing to point out, there are Design Professions, like UX Design or Industrial Design where you need a more complex way to interact with the website to fully showcase your work. So it isn`t just to make it look more professional, it is also important to make more tangible.

We have a non profit for ww2 veterans and once i think i found the option there is so much cost to hosting and the domain. I guess I am just new to this and it is a bit overwhelming. Sophie - this was a fantastic video. I watched it to find a builder to work with my new web client. We settled on WIX. Hey that have a web manager app on iOS, so why not. Right? One of the things you need to catch up on is there are more and more designers who use iPad Pro for all of their design needs. Many designers have ditched their desktops and laptops because there are so many advanced design options for us on iOS. Designing on iPad Pro so nice. I critical criteria that got missed in your video was if any of these platforms allowed for designing from iPad. Not if they have an app or not, but even using their services on their website from iPad Pro. WIX is HORRIBLE in both NOT having a proper iOS editor and that the web based editor for some strange reason cant function correctly on iPad through Chrome nor Safari. This is a shame that we live in 2024 and WIX has yet to catch up to the future. Really wished reviewers like yourself would listed this as a huge “CON” against WIX. Anyhow, could you please do an updated video listing which Website Builders are seamlessly compatible for designers who use the awesome power of iPad Pro M2? Thank you.
Personally...I cant stand Squarespace. The fact that I have to use code for the simplest of things like custom fonts or use of additional colours (since they limit us to like, 5) the responsiveness is terrible as well, the moment you change the size of anything - it switches everything up, I cannot be bothered. I use Webflow instead. Bigger learning curve but much better pay off.

webflow is a little hard for me as a new designer, so i'm gonna use squarespace for a little bit while i continue to learn how to use webflow so i can transition to it

webflow is a little hard for me as a new designer, so i'm gonna use squarespace for a little bit while i continue to learn how to use webflow so i can transition to it
