Couldn’t agree more about squarespace. If you want anything other than the standard bland design templates they offer it’s absolutely miserable to try to customize. It’s also extremely buggy when you start digging around in all the features they offer, like online courses. Terrible user experience; I’ll be switching platforms as soon as I have the time.

before this video i thought i was crazy for not liking squarespace since almost every graphic designer online uses it for their portfolio which is wild to me. thank you so much for not only validating my opinion but also offering alternatives worth checking out (and being honest about the pros and cons!!)

Down voted for clickbait nonsense. Squarespace templates are just a starting point! Also, Wix has twice as many live websites built with it compared to Squarespace. Maybe your next vid can be "Wix sucks more than Squarespace"!

No, avoid wix at all cost. I asked for a refund on the auto-renewal and they flat out refuse. On top of that it is an Israeli company. If you care about moral and ethical business, avoid them at all cost for the war crime they are committing.

The notion website option blew my mind. I never thought about it, as much as I use it on my daily basis. Also, thank you for letting us know free options. Because seriously some of us have a very, very limited budget to start with.

I am a motion & graphic designer and I’ve been using Wix, Readymag for the past few years. Just wondering if Webflow is the next best step for me to go for, I like website that can create a lot of interactive designs and that can implement my motion designs into it. Thank you ❤❤

Very experienced and agree with everything you said! Well done. I use WP / Elementor for most clients overall, Shopify for some of my fashion retail clients, going to play with ReadyMag just for fun - we'll see. Squarespace is a No. WIX is fun to play with as well - they've come a long way and it's like WebFlow light.

What about Elementor? I think it's a good alternative for starting to build websites for free, and it allows a certain level of personalization.

I would love to learn webflow, but due to my work as an accountant and photographer who is opening her own art shop... i dont have the time to learn workflow and j acgualky reslly like sqaurespace convince and design. I decided to use sqaurespace sleek design and link shopify ecommerce shop now button to link to my products actually processand handle shipping etc

I’m using Wordpress on AWS. It’s a hassle and not really worth all the time it takes. I was considering Squarespace or Canva. My biggest concern is to have an LMS or link to a separate LMS page for management of my education courses.

Currently playing with Pixpa after using wix, wordpress for a blog, and squarespace. I'm enjoying it so far for showcasing my portfolio with its gallery pages. It's simple and easy to get the hang of. It's also cheaper than Squarespace. Not sure about Wix. While Cargo and ReadyMag seem interesting, they seem too complicated for me. Yeah I'm an art student but they seem to have too many features and things happening on their sites. I am not versed in UI/UX web design and Webflow doesn't look like the site for me either.

I've just spent and fair few ours trying to use Squarespace.... ....HATED it!! Not a user friendly website in my opinion!

Wix is Israeli owned which is important to know for those who are concerned for the people of Palestine.

Your video provides the most extensive coverage of almost all website builder options out there. A couple of the easy ones for beginners that I know are Hostinger and Durable but I can understand why they didn't even make it to the list lol. I can't wait to try out ReadyMag & Cargo!
