the editing on this is perfect. I want to be a creative director on music videos but im only 18 so I have a lot to learn and at times it feels helpless. your story and growth and talent deserves not only recognition but to be heard. thank you for being a fellow creator who didn't give up on creating.
Hello Sophie, thank you for sharing your life story. I'm so excited for your new chapter and can't wait to see more video creation of yours. Way to go!
Loved this so much. My favorite Sophie production ;) This is super inspiring and you should be so proud of everything you've done so far in life. It's not an easy feat!
Hey Sophie thanks for keeping it real! I literally googled 3 words 'mid-20s crisis designer' hoping a miracle would happen that someone is also experiencing the same struggles while appreciating the journey. I'm also raised in HK and moved to North America, shifted from art to design recently in midst of covid! This brought me comfort thank you!
Hey Val! Omg!! We are literally in the same boat! Thank you so much for leaving a comment and sharing your journey with me as well, I hope you are finding some ways to get out of your crisis! :)
@@SophieCheung Haha this is why I love technology, when it can virtually connect strangers together with meaningful or similar thoughts and feelings! Thank you for your kind wishes, I'm swimming up and working in Tech now, just trying to navigate and keep my head! I'm wishing you well too!
Thank you, Sophie, for such personal storytelling but mostly for finding the right words to navigate in life. I'm in my fifties now, I used to be a free artist in my youth, a graphic designer in my middle-life career, and later a curator in art education and I came for myself to the same formula looking for new horizons: useful + valuable is more important than beautiful, as simple as that. Well done! Going to explore more of your videos, keep creating!
This literally became my favorite channel in just two videos. I am here doing market research and you literally just summarized my whole life rn.. Amazing work truly.
@@SophieCheung Starting a RUclips channel surrounding having a digital presence on my main channel. Just checking out what other amazing creators are doing. Your editing is killer!
a couple years ago your photography style made me completely rethink how i wanted to portray my own. just randomly thought about what you’d been up to and wow that was unexpected. now you’re gonna have me rethinking entirely why i even bother doing what i do hahaha. but you’re doing amazing things so please dont ever lose that drive
hey christopher!! thanks for sharing this! i think my passion for photography just isn't here anymore, and it sorta changed into something else. but that doesn't mean you shouldn't continue to do it if it's still your passion!! i hope you continue to do whatever makes you happy & excited!!
Dealing with something similar as a 25 year old... 2 years later... unfortunately my freelance career has taken a bit of a hit due to the vid and I still love what I do but I have considered shifting careers. My idea of a more meaningful life has also shifted from being more work driven to more life driven as well; work is certainly a big part of life and should give one purpose/meaning still but there's also a lot more out of life than just work too.
I totally feel you! I just didn't like the inconsistency of working freelance, and I also met some clients that weren't great. I've realized that what I like to do can be different to how I make money! Hope you figure out your path soon!
thank you thank you you real expiration to all as human
thanks for watching! :)
This video has too few views for its quality. Hopefully, it gets more noticed. Good work!
you're so kind, thanks for watching :)
