Love it, feels more realistic as you represent someone hiring who lacks time. My takeaways are:
    - Hero is crazy important
    - Nice profile image
    - Unique layout
    - Interesting consistent visuals
    - Social proof
    - Too much text
    - CTA at the end vs before seeing any work.
Feels like the structure of a high converting landing page. Patterns are similar.

Thanks for the shoutout and feedback, Ran! 😁🙌 It means a lot, especially coming from the person I found out about Figma and Webflow! A portfolio redesign is scheduled already, and will stick to one good font and non-generic copy 🙌🤙

I think both formats work well: a deep dive so that we can understand why the design works well (or doesn't), and quick reviews like this video where we have an idea of what grabs people's attention at first glance.

Everyone knows what Webflow is, but I agree that being a Webflow Developer as opposed to a regular Web Developer isn't a selling point.

@@timothychinye6008Most people do not know, what webflow is. People who are designers or work in web know, but the rest doesn't. Ask your parents, your non-creative/dev friends. If you haven't talked about webflow, they do not know, what that is.

Not to be rude, but its a good lesson as a designer/developer to follow these reviews.
Being a graphic designer myself for over 12 years, I have learned not to overcomplicate either your work or yourself.
Ram defenitly has some good pointers we all can learn from. Cool to see so many try something new and differrent, you never get too old to learn something new. But often simplicity and straight for wins over overcomplicated layouts and messages.
Stick to your gots, try things first before launching, test, re-do, test again - Trust me. I am at my portfolio website version 12 and still not satisfied :D
Thankyou for an awesome video Ran and look forward to see more portfolios!
PS: NEVER GIVE UP folks :)

Love the idea of going fast through them. I have so far had 15 years of successful career as a UX/UI designer and I NEVER made a portfolio. Never needed one.
For me in real life as a designer, all my work comes through contacts and word of mouth from previous clients. I've even worked in some quite prestigious companies in Denmark (where everyone wants to work now), and they took me in on a recommendation.
Just to say that NOT all jobs (at all) go through this standard process of showcasing your portfolio and a hiring manager. I also work as a UX/UI mentor and I always tell students to learn to NOT do what everyone else does... flocking into the same corner of the room, seeing who can yell the loudest with the prettiest portfolio. But ... that's just my way - I've never been without work though :)

The take away is : Easy on the Webflow animations and JS guys, not because there are free and accessible that you should use them all at once. So basically stick with what it works and not getting crazy creative. I personally never been a fan of unique portfolios and seems like the recruiters neither, either it turns out confusing or childish. So let's just stick to showing our work in a consistent and clear way.

Could you do one but with UX portfolios? trying to design mine atm and would be helpful
I've watched quite a bit of videos on UX portfolios specifically and talked to people who I know who have made portfolios, and they usually reflect quite a bit of personality in theirs, have pictures of themselves in a non professional setting, is that good or bad? They are trying to get hired by companies though and are not doing freelancing or any of that
