Yes..... that just fixed my Nintendo OLED thank you for the video. I thought it was not charging because no lights were coming on but after the reset the battery was fully charged.
Mine was fully discharged, was sitting for 3 months unplugged. Plugged everything in and nothing showed up on the consol screen indicating that the unit knows it is charging. Thought of removing the joycons, since they also would need to be charged. Plugged the unit directly into the cable not the cradle and in a couple minutes tapped the power button and the charging icon appeared. During those couple mins I found this video. The 1amp nintendo charging system I think is the Achilles heal on this console. It is a good charger with smart IC built in so it doesnt over charge, but on the weak side. Just to check if the charger is working, plugged it into my Android phone which is USB C and the nintendo charger worked, not fast charging though. Placed the console in the cradle and it continued to charge showing the charging icon. After 10 mins it booted up. I totally agree with your approach. So yeah let the unit get enough charge on its own before sliding in the joycons if everything is fully in need of a charge.Great tip. 👍

I'm scared. I have 2 Nintendo Switch. One works well and charges and in the dock, shows the image on the TV. but the other one doesn't turn on or charge and when I put it in the dock, the light flashes green even if I remove the console and put in the one that is working, it doesn't charge the good Switch and the dock keeps flashing even without any video games on it. Is this a short in the switch or did something burn internally? It was working well the day before and had no problems. just hung up forever
My oled was charging perfectly fine yesterday and then I put it on charge again last night and it stopped charging, but the charger is fine cos it works with my lite. Any ideas
My OLED model all of a sudden want charge alone with multiple outlets and two different Nintendo officials . It had charge from the night before and I never got any kind of indication . My daughter’s charges fine . I ordered usb C port replacement . Hard reset didn’t work .
So I decided to buy Pokémon Legends Arceus and the Nintendo switch lite from Amazon for a a better price .. man like I’m charging the battery and it stay on 7% it won’t go up I have to leave it on the charger bc I’m afraid it will turn off and never turn back on
