certainly not me. my switch died whilst playing a game and wont turn on. charged it over night on miniature dock on my desk and then the official dock while i was at school so 8 hours. wont turn on, ive watched like 50 videos and nothing is wrong with my switch.
What did you do to get it working
My switch appeared to be dead while I was on vacation. I think it overheated and powered off in my bag, but that was a fun panic attack. A 12 second hard reset worked to my relief.
for me it doesnt work.. its been dead for months so im doing everything he listed bc my mom is pissed at me lol
My switch had a prob that I can’t hold a change much without it plugged in and even when it is plugged in it dies

The video is a year old, but it’s still up because it still helps! My switch wouldn’t charge using the official Nintendo usbc connection but has 15% battery left. I followed along and did a reset, then an actual hard reset- while I did that I left the charger disconnected as mentioned as well- and it’s back to life! Thanks!

Was genuinely panicking about my Switch being busted, especially the amount my wife and I use it. But this video was a life saver, got as far as the hard reset and came back to life.

Dude tell us not to fix our switch ourselves lol. Yeah money doesn't grow on trees bud and I took a home course on electronic engineering. Sure I didn't get a degree but I know how to fix electronics now and how to solder. WTF do we even need college anymore? Just have jobs give tests.... we can look everything up on the internet and even set up our own hands on assignments with our own electronics since we have to many lying around these days. College especially the Ivy league ones are just clubs for rich and smart people who wish to turn into douche bags. I'm watching this video a long with many others to see if the solution I used which was unplugging the battery from the mainboard and then plugging it back in was in the video.

Gurl try 2-3 days Lmao! I even bought a whole new charger thinking that was the problem I plugged it into like 5 outlet and I tried everything but thank god I found this video and it saved my life lol

I just wanna say thank you so much I literally bought this switch like two months ago and I was like it can’t be the adapter or plug…I was seriously stressed out and was like there is no way I spent $300 and all those games to just not let it work. Tried to leave it alone and charge solo from dock using just the switch and charged adapter for like 4 hours nothing…no sign of life. Went to your video. 15-20 second holding down the power button and then press it once to power on omg…I seen the Nintendo logo pop up…tears of joy! I love you and thank you for this video. 5:08 - If your Switch is out of warranty and/or you're confident with electrical repairs and/or you're totally bonkers, unplug the cable, remove the backplate and heat shielding, disconnect the battery, then hold down the power button for 20 seconds before putting everything back together again and re-attempting to recharge. I had to repair someone's Switch that had been left in a drawer for months and this did the trick.

I've tried to do a hard reset. The Nintendo appears and shuts back down never restarting and I've left it on the charge over night. Anyone else have some suggestions

Is it possible to overcharge it? I’ve had my switch on its dock for a couple months straight without playing it or even turning it on but it’s saying it has no charge.

Tried all those things on my Gray Switch Lite. Total use time on that switch was maybe 10 hours in total. Tried all those things Several times. No luck and Nintendo Repairs division is closed down until further notice. So I have a very pretty gray paperweight. (Until further notice)

@Jay Funko nicee everyone in Florida is trying to come up on people. So I got a switch lite gray until the shops open to fix my let's go Pikachu edition Nintendo switch.. it hasn't even been a year of having it. I purchased it on June 26 2019. I made the order ticket to be fixed on may 19. 2020

I went to power up mine this morning and had a small heart attack when it didn't power up.. It's the new ACNH Edition and my launch unit has never done that 😅

This reminds me of the time back in the summer of 2017, when at my grandparents house my brother and I were just chilling. Then I went to the bathroom just to come out to the terror of my brother jamming a micro usb plug right into the port. Sadly for the next few weeks we weren't able to play it.

Me. I only had to hard reset my Switch once. I think my Doom 2016 update was just bad since recently I kept getting a 2002-2060 error whenever I played it for more than several seconds.

I used a voltage adapter on the Hi setting in cuba on vacation. Thought i fried my switch when the screen went black. Tip number two for the reset fixed it. Thanks!!

This video saved me from buying a new switch. I had mine plugged up all night playing RUclips and I woke up and it was off completely. Wouldn’t charge or show that it was charging and I thought it broke or something. I gave up trying to fix it after an hour but then I stumbled across this video. I stopped at the hard reset, idk if any other steps works but I can confirm the hard reset worked for mine!! Hopefully you guys can resolve your problems!

So I was playing my switch today (it was docked and I was playing on the TV) and it just cut off out of the blue and won't turn back on I tried hard resetting it and even factory resetting it and that didn't work I've done every possible thing to try and get it to work and still nothing and it sucks because I can't send it in to get fixed due to covid-19

Then we realized we hadn't turned the switch on in 19 months. After watching, we realized we weren't using the official charger. Great video. Super helpful. Apparently my counting is a bit faster than a second as well, and I let go of the power button early. Good tip on counting to 15. Also, the kids and I were both stressed, and the narrator's soothing British voice helped us stay calm and carry on. 😉
