I have tried all of these earbuds except the new Sennheiser MTW 4 and the Jabra Elite 10s are my favorite. They are the cheapest of all of them, they go on sale for $199.99 often and have the best phone call quality, the second best ANC, and are easily the most comfortable earbuds apart from tiny earbuds like the Sony Link Bud S. The Bluetooth connection in these is easily the best and you can walk the furthest away from your device with the Jabras over the other ones. The sound quality is perfect with a little EQ adjustment to boost bass for me with the Bose ultra being the only ones that I think sound better. If you are reading this I highly recommend the Jabra Elite 10 for the best earbuds in early 2024. The only earbuds I would pick over these would be a version of the Bose with multi point connection and better phone call quality because the Bose Ultra have probably the worst phone call quality of any earbud I have ever tried to the point where multiple people asked me to just call them later without the earbuds.

Aptx lossless is not Aptx adaptive which is even more superior in terms of sound quality than LDAC. There are so called dongels available, for instance the BTD600 from Sennheiser, which are very small and just need to be plugged on the USB C or A or with Adapter on Apples lightning. Works also on a iphone 15 for instance, and than Aptx adaptive sound (snapdargon sound) is possible on a Apple ios device which normally only support AAC.
Just picked the Sony XM5 for £194 with student and Sony discount. Real good price. I have the MTW4 which sound amazing. Once I get the Sony, I will make a decision to keep one.
Hey, how are both earbuds? I can get both at the same price so would love to know your thoughts. Sound quality, comfort, and ANC are most important to me. Thanks
@@vaughnvalle Comfort- I would say the MT4 feel less heavy. Not that the XM5 are heavy. The XM5 with their foam tips are comfy. But I still get this feeling, they are not secure, even though the app says they are and it feels like it. This is probably just me. Sound- MTW4 are more clear and crisp. But the XM5 are better. I also can listen to XM5 at volume 70 but MTW4 I have to put up to 95. ANC- XM5. Also remember the MTW4 are only 7.5 hours with ANC off, XM5 are 10 off and 8 on. Good luck.
What sold me on that MTW3 is that you can use one earbud at a time and it feels like you’re have both of them in one ear. That’s what saw me on it on the competitors. Can you listen with one earbud and it sounds like you’re listening to stereo
I’m listening to this with my newly purchased Sony WH-1000XM4’s which I bought this past week because they’re on sale at Best Buy and Amazon for $250 (I’m not sure how much longer the sale will last though) and at that price THESE ARE AN ABSOLUTE STEAL IMO!!
In terms of sound quality, the interesting thing is that the sound signature or EQ settings that might sound great for a 10 second sample are not always the same that you might prefer after listening for an hour or more. That bright "10 second" sound signature might become too fatiguing after extended listening. I have all of these except the Jabra and I personally tend to dial-down the treble slightly when on my hour-long commute, which essentially normalizes all of them. That said, there are still pros/cons to each that stand out - the soundstage of the Technics, the sub-bass of the MTWs, the smooth midrange of the Sonys, and the unbeatable ANC of the Bose.
Also, just fyi, most of these benefit from aftermarket foam tips, especially the MTWs. I could never get the stock MTW tips to work for me at all. The foam ones "extend" the bass and provide some better passive noise reduction.
Yay the long anticipated review! I kept reading the QC on Sennheiser was bad with the MTW3...so I'm curious about long term usage. My XM4 right battery is crapped out now.
I was thinking about buying MTW4, now I have decided that I will replacing the battery on my XM4 instead and use it for maybe another year or luckily 2 more years.
Wish I could get “ pure silence” on my Sony XM5. I just wish I could get them to cancel any noise at all. There are a growing amount of reports on how poor the Sony perform in respect to noise cancelling. I suspect this is because some people regardless how hard they try will be unable to get a good seal with the supplied tips. Very interesting report. Thank you.
Short of poring a tube of builder sealant and super glue into my ear, no way can I get a seal. Interestingly, the app. which measures the seal continually advises that the tips maybe too small. I am using the largest tips! I use the medium tips on my Bose and Jabra. Thanks for your your replies. I would advise that anyone wishing to purchase the Sony buds ensure that they can be returned if they have the same issue. In my case as a frequent flyer, they are next to useless.@@wrxsti22b
MTW4 are a noticeable step up in audio quality compared to the outgoing MTW3. Moreover I had 3 (!) pairs of faulty MTW3, two developed a chirping sound in left earbud, the right earbud stopped in the third pair. amazon UK handled one repair and returned a pair of MTW4 instead, was very pleased by this free upgrade, let just hope they won't break like the MTW3s!
Sennheiser MTW4 after the update its so much beter then 3. Loudness its about 20% more. The bass incresed too. But this efects works only if you did the personalization option.
I tried the Bose Quiet Comfort Ultras for one day and I hated the white noise when I did notlisten to anything. It was extremely annoying! But I must confess that I am veeeery sensitive concerning noise in general since I have very good hearingabilities. I can literally hear grass growing 😅. But what I absolutely loved about the Bose QCU was the 360-Sound...
I bought some SoundPeats Engine 4 a few months ago. They have LDAC, my phone supports it, I've got quite a lot of music that's got a high sampling frequency and is 24 bit, they sound really good to my ears. I don't care about mic clarity, ANC or anything else, I just want the best sound I can possibly get with earbuds. Does anyone expect that I'd notice a significant improvement in sound with the MTW4 compared to the SoundPeats that cost less than half that? I'm torn over whether the improvement in sound quality will be worth the cost.
Great comparisons with actual audio clips! They sound pretty mediocre for their price especially compared to Edifiers are a similar quality for much cheaper
I think you make good reviews but, undestand this, you have to let the hearing part of the sound quality at least be 2/3 minutes long were you go back and forth with the headphones so we can hear more phases of the same song on every headphone!!

Just recently I noticed that the ANC was getting worse as I am starting to hear noise at gym when before I wouldn’t. Also I noticed that I had to raise the volume to near max on my iPhone 15 pro max.
Thanks for these. Im replacing a second pair of bose sports that keep dying. I also had a lot of sound and connectivity issues so I'm done with bose for now. I heard the ultra still have these issues which is unacceptable for the price. Im probably going with the Sony 1000XM5.
Aren't they going to stop making consumer earbuds and the gen 2 were the last ever made? I just read that in a review so made it easy to look at others because there probably won't be any updates in the recent future
Have you found that you have to manually connect the earbuds eachvtime you open the case (mtw3 would auto connect each time i wouod taoe them out of the case)?
i had the mtw3 for a week and send them back. the fit was so bad. The ANCwas working bad too, because of the bad fit. The music sound was good though. I had the Sony XM3 too, also a bad fit by falling out of your ear. Then the Samsung Earbuds pro and pro2, they were a nice midrange, but not top. The jabra 75t was quite good for sound, the fit was good, the app very good, but overall not there yet. I don't like the sound of the bose, it is just average. The ANC is as good as the Elite10, but not better. Now I am using the Jabra Elite 10 and man, wat are they good. The sound is really impressive, the ANC is very, very good, call quality is very good too. All in all the elite 10 is the best I did ever test and became my daily earbuds and I still enjoy every day listening to them. The sound is very detaild, crisp, very steady and deep bass, and high fidelity highs. And they have no hiss at all, so you can listening to classical music too en enjoy it to the fullest.
I don't get it either. This happens to be the number one reason you would choose one earbud over another at that price range is sound quality. If you're not concerned about sound then why spend that much money? I digress though, he did show sounds curves and explain that Jabras had a more open sound profile. So, there's that! My reference ear buds for sound quality are still the Bowers and Wilkinson PI7s. I have both versions and both are still a level above the Sennheisers MTW3s even after you personalize the sound. That being said, sound personalization on the MTW3s is a must have and is quite awesome because it makes up for our hearing deficiencies.
The bose QC2 and QC2 Ultra have a whoosh not a hiss, also I have gone through 6 replacements and all have left bud static feedback. Selling my replacement now since they won't refund.
@@apelincoln5457 Funny Sennhesier loves me and sends me products, they since fixed their issue via firmware. I have a great relationship with their reps.
I bought the Jabra elite 10, because of your review: Best earbuds of 2023. I tried also Denon perl pro, Sony xm5 and Samsung buds Fe (which I also bought based on your review). Finally I kept Jabra for comfort and call quality. Overall love it, even though Denon sounds better. Keep up the good work.
Sidetone on sony and jabra. Does that work while using anc ? Why mtw4 does not have sidetone…? Thr momentum 4 headphone has that. And does the mtw3 have sidetone?
I have the Bose QC Ultras and they are not silent. They have that terrible white noise hiss but I love their comfort and audio quality on immersion mode. Those are the only reasons for me buying these buds. I have a huge issue with fit and comfort and so far only the AirPods Pro 2 and the Bose ticks those boxes for me. I returned the XM5 buds because I just couldn’t have them in my ears for more than 5 minutes without my ears getting sore. There’s no perfect earbud in my opinion and it all comes down to what best suits you. Everyone is different.
I use the Jabra Elite 10s for office type setting at work. The call quality is so good, the side tone pass-through mode works so well, ANC mixed with voice pass through blocks unwanted noise and lets you hear the other person more clearly without having to crank the volume.
I am 1yr9mths into my MTW3 and I've exchanged 3 sets. This is my 4th set. When it goes, I'm going to get the MTW4. I will save all my credit cards points to change for Capital Mall vouchers to buy. Which I did with the MTW3. In that way, paying out of my pocket only $100+, it keeps spoiling in the 2yrs, at least I'm not so angry.
bought my TW3 on Sept 2022 and finally the battery problem kicks in last month so i went over to Sennheiser to get it fixed and instead of fixing they did a one to one exchange for the TW4 instead. According to them the TW3 will be no more in production due to the battery supplier so TW4 will take over with new suppliers for the battery. After almost 2 years of usage and i get a brand new pair of TW4 it's a good deal for me. 👍
TBH the Senn mics sounded the worse to me in your test excepting the poor Bose QC mics. Would have been good to have the Airpods Pro2 compared here as well
I do not know others but should be enough frankly. You can easily find this data. On the other hand, I tried xm5, ap2, and technics os the best. Only thing i dont like is call: the bone conduction is annoying, for me. Comfor is extremely good.
@@twova oh thanks i didnt know that though. I was only aware of the labelling. seems like aptX is from Qualcomm so since apple has their own processors that proves your point.

I have literally never heard a Bluetooth earbud as good. However make sure your phone supports aptx adaptive for best results. iPhone doesn't support this.
I wish manufacturers would make it easier to replace the batteries on true wireless earbuds. We have enough e-waste as it is. As it stands though, these are basically disposable products that you throw away after several years. Or even sooner if you got the WF-1000XM4 and apparently, some batches of the MTW3 (not mine).
replacing batteries in MX4 are relatively easy and quick job new genuine batteries cost about 20euro that comes with all set including new glue. I repaired mine not a mark on them they like new again.
I tried all earbuds except elite10, and I bought MTW4 (my previous one was 1000xm4, i lost it) My rank in terms of sound with custom EQ using their companion app: 1. MTW4 it has more soundstage than the other earbuds, i can still hear punchy bass while not sacrificing the highs. I listen to the same song for every earbuds and I bopped when listening to this, dont know why 2. 1000xm5, az80 pretty much the same sound wise they are pretty much similar, nothing i could tell apart off besides their ANC capability where 1000xm5 is far better than AZ80. connectivity wise is better on az80, not sure why, i kept getting the sound cut off even using best adaptability bitrate(not best sounding). 3. JBL tour pro 3 stock eq is flat, with custom eq, i could make it sound a little bit better and make it similar to no.2 i put it no.3 because of its high price tag over here compared to no.2 4. QC ultra it sounded the worse just because it doesnt support aptx and ldac, but ANC is top notch

I agree brother. I had the Elite 10 and made the mistake to return them when I realized the MTW4 are being released. I sent the MTW4 back in less than 24 hours and bought the Jabras again. They're better in pretty much everything and cost €100 euros less.
P.S. I couldn't keep the MTW4 in my ears for more than 1 hour, I can wear the Jabras all day.

Aaron...with all the same buds listed where do you place the Galaxy buds 3 pro???
These reviewers never do a real call test. Just recording video using TWS mic, which is very different from real call test
Your tests and comparisons are superior! Didn't find such exactly on these headphone models either in english, ukrainian or russian youtubers. 🙏
Do you use the equaliser for the Jabra Elite 10s? And if so do you mind sharing the settings? I really liked the equaliser you used on the Linkbuds S' before I switched to the Elite 10s
Another fantastic and truly objective review. Good job brother
Thanks :)
Thanks
@@vaughnvalle
Comfort- I would say the MT4 feel less heavy.

Just got mine today. Still amazed by its many features. Single bud I do like.
Still like that 😎
But why not just listen to real stereo with both?
listening to this video on my technics az-80 😁
How are they for you? They feel like my choice out of all of these
I’m listening to this with my newly purchased Sony WH-1000XM4’s which I bought this past week because they’re on sale at Best Buy and Amazon for $250 (I’m not sure how much longer the sale will last though) and at that price THESE ARE AN ABSOLUTE STEAL IMO!!

What if you're riding a bike with the MTW4, does it cancel out the wind noise? which earbuds cancel out wind noise the best?
Great video again! Hope your cough is better?
The WF-1000XM4 if yours is still under warranty, send in to the service center to do an exchanged. If out of warranty already, then no help liao.
If price didnt matter, shall I go for JabraE10 or BoseQCU?
How is the mtw4 Compared with the beoplay ex in terms of sound quality?
I wonder the answer to this too
Please please please include the top "budget" for comparison in the future.... Like the Liberty 4 NC

@@jasonMB999 sure, that's why I said "like"

I was thinking about buying MTW4, now I have decided that I will replacing the battery on my XM4 instead and use it for maybe another year or luckily 2 more years.
I didn't know, if out of warranty, 3rd party company can replace the battery?
Wish I could get “ pure silence” on my Sony XM5. I just wish I could get them to cancel any noise at all. There are a growing amount of reports on how poor the Sony perform in respect to noise cancelling. I suspect this is because some people regardless how hard they try will be unable to get a good seal with the supplied tips. Very interesting report. Thank you.
No problem. Yes the Sonys have to plug all the way in and stay there. No seal, no ANC.
But it's impossible to cancel all sound out... Not possible.
I am confused with Denise’s vs zabra please advice which one should I go.
The sound from the sennheiser is incredible
Do you have the Momentum 4?
How would these compared to the Denon Perl Pros?
The jabra's has a pleasing sound

Glad it was helpful!
Jabra Elite 10 or Technics on sound quality?
How does mtw4 compare to beoplay ex in terms of sound quality?
I bought some SoundPeats Engine 4 a few months ago. They have LDAC, my phone supports it, I've got quite a lot of music that's got a high sampling frequency and is 24 bit, they sound really good to my ears. I don't care about mic clarity, ANC or anything else, I just want the best sound I can possibly get with earbuds. Does anyone expect that I'd notice a significant improvement in sound with the MTW4 compared to the SoundPeats that cost less than half that? I'm torn over whether the improvement in sound quality will be worth the cost.
Codecs and sampling rates matter but other factors are important too ruclips.net/user/shorts3seKxCw7JcI?si=MyuxgVWtWW2a9OVU
@@aaronloudnwireless Thanks, I'll check it out.

Great comparisons with actual audio clips! They sound pretty mediocre for their price especially compared to Edifiers are a similar quality for much cheaper
Which is louder Jabra elite 10 or 4s?
4s once you do the sound profile
I think you make good reviews but, undestand this, you have to let the hearing part of the sound quality at least be 2/3 minutes long were you go back and forth with the headphones so we can hear more phases of the same song on every headphone!!
Lol. No one wants that. These audio samples sound nothing like they do in real life. They sound way too close to each other.

I have the Sonys XM 4 and have had them for about 2 years now. I use them for the gym and cutting the grass. Just recently I noticed that the ANC was getting worse as I am starting to hear noise at gym when before I wouldn’t. Also I noticed that I had to raise the volume to near max on my iPhone 15 pro max.
Mikes are better on the MTW3 vs MTW4!?
Is jabra elite 10 2nd generation?
Thanks for these. Im replacing a second pair of bose sports that keep dying. I also had a lot of sound and connectivity issues so I'm done with bose for now. I heard the ultra still have these issues which is unacceptable for the price. Im probably going with the Sony 1000XM5.
Just what did Jabra do to suddenly take such a huge leap in their earbuds
They listened to their customers I guess
Aren't they going to stop making consumer earbuds and the gen 2 were the last ever made? I just read that in a review so made it easy to look at others because there probably won't be any updates in the recent future
Have you found that you have to manually connect the earbuds eachvtime you open the case (mtw3 would auto connect each time i wouod taoe them out of the case)?
How does it compare to the Jlab Epic Edition?
I am leaning more towards the MTW4, but the case and the spacial audio is what's putting me off.
i had the mtw3 for a week and send them back. the fit was so bad.
🎵Hey Aaron, could you please rank the headphones based on sound quality? That would be really helpful. I couldn't quite get that from the video. 🎶
Can you ask Sennheiser why they need our personal data to access the sound profile feature? 😅
I was wondering also, but agreed and it made the sound better.
just get outta here, everyone knows your being paid to revile against MTW4's

What are your top five earbuds in order? 👍

No problem!
Sidetone on sony and jabra. Does that work while using anc ?
Why mtw4 does not have sidetone…? Thr momentum 4 headphone has that.
And does the mtw3 have sidetone?
The MTW4 also has sidetone during phone calls. He's misleading people.
What if you're riding a bike with the QC ultra, does it cancel out the wind noise? which earbuds cancel out wind noise the best?
I care more about the sound quality which earbud has the best sound quality?
The sennys have both sidevoice and lossless sir. I can utilize lossless but not ldac. So i think the codex solely depends on your phone.
i cannot use my sony xm4 in the kitchen
could you please make a video for budget tws to use in casual conditions

Amazing video!
Thanks!
I use the Jabra Elite 10s for office type setting at work. The call quality is so good, the side tone pass-through mode works so well, ANC mixed with voice pass through blocks unwanted noise and lets you hear the other person more clearly without having to crank the volume.
Why is is that much more than the mtw3? Cause its not falling apart after 3-6 months? :D
I guess it's an update to fix the battery problem. I had to return the MTW3s because the battery was draining too fast.

I spoke too soon... my MTW3s can't hold a charge anymore. I sent them back and now in the market for... I think either the MTW4 or the Technics.
replacing batteries in MX4 are relatively easy and quick job new genuine batteries cost about 20euro that comes with all set including new glue. I repaired mine not a mark on them they like new again.
I tried all earbuds except elite10, and I bought MTW4 (my previous one was 1000xm4, i lost it)
My rank in terms of sound with custom EQ using their companion app:
1. MTW4
it has more soundstage than the other earbuds, i can still hear punchy bass while not sacrificing the highs. I listen to the same song for every earbuds and I bopped when listening to this, dont know why
2. 1000xm5, az80 pretty much the same
sound wise they are pretty much similar, nothing i could tell apart off besides their ANC capability where 1000xm5 is far better than AZ80.
connectivity wise is better on az80, not sure why, i kept getting the sound cut off even using best adaptability bitrate(not best sounding).
3. JBL tour pro 3
stock eq is flat, with custom eq, i could make it sound a little bit better and make it similar to no.2
i put it no.3 because of its high price tag over here compared to no.2
4. QC ultra
it sounded the worse just because it doesnt support aptx and ldac, but ANC is top notch
