Their fit put me in XL and they stay in ear great. But I really preferred sony sound, Maybe because of the outstanding noise cancelation. Should I go back to sony and use lg ear tips? Can anyone relate?
Yea, not even close. THIS is so far, the best review I've watched on comparing high-end wireless earbuds, and I've watched about 10 videos. Cudos to you my man.
Went with the az 80. Never looked back. Liked them over the others. More polished, better sound across all parameters to me, and 3 point pairing made them a no brained.
Hey man! Great videos. Easily the best content reviewing earbuds. The sound comparisons when playing music are especially helpful! Decided on Jabra Elite 10s thanks to your videos (since my Sennheiser TWM2s died).
Between the AZ80 and XM5: which go deeper in the ear canal? I've had the XM4s and I've developed earwax plugs because of them. I would use them a lot and the continuous pushing and twisting did the wax problem. So I'm looking forward to something that wouldn't go deep in the ear canal. I've tried the AirPods 1st gen and they are comfy and don't go deep in the ear but I need something with good music quality.
Great review Aaron! I had the AZ80 for about 3 weeks after returning the XM5 because the XM5 didn't stay in my ears (mainly the left ear). Phone calls were great while walking through the park on a windy day. The only thing I was disappointed in was the bass response on the AZ80. I set up my custom EQ and the buds just didnt offer enough bass for me. Like you, I use the Bose QCII at the gym. The Jabra Elite 10 is my daily driver over the AZ80. All of these earbuds in this video are awesome. But if anyone enjoys bass thump like on the Bose QCII or the old Jabra Elite 75t you may be disappointed with the bass on the AZ80.
I just made the same observation. I had the Technics already and got the Jabras today. It looks like the Technics are going back after this. Although, I have to admit that 3 way Multipoint is VERY nice to have.
@@Radykall1 with all due respect, when are you realistically gonna use 3 point multipoint? its nice to have, but the audio codec goes down to normal. And me personally I LOVE the jabras, and going back and forth with the az80 and the jabras i can barely tell the difference. And the jabras have a way better bass response compared to the az80. And the fit is very similar, but i find the jabras to be more comfortable due to the rubber body of the earbud whereas the technics have some sharp grooves that kinda sand my ears.
Hi Aaron!! I have really appreciated your reviews on everything! Headphones, earphones and all other! But my biggest suggestion is that you should definitely use other noises like airplane or higher pitched sound frequencies for noise cancellation tests! Have a great day man keep up!
Im always puzzled by this dilema. Other than someone that is in a noisy (real noise) that makes a lot of calls, are both features that important? I can see ANC being a feature that someone wants, but call quality and noise reduction. I can’t get anyone that wants to talk anymore, its always text. The only place i may make a call is in the car. My wife does a lot of calls wireless (work related) that are mostly indoors, or in the yard, car. Do you have to make or answer calls in a (windy) enviroment?
Thanks for another great video Aaron! Would be interested to hear your video and opinion on the Status Between3 ANC or Between Pro earbuds at some point!
I've been using the az80 since June, and the problem regarding to stuck in transparency mode when it trying to block sudden wind noise is not totally true. Based on my experience, it tries to block wind noise when you are in transparency mode, so you feel like it enters the noise isolation mode, but if the wind stops blowing to the mic of earbuds, it will gradually change back to fully transparency mode. Besides, when it is in this wind noise reduction mode, you can still have conversation with others. It doesn't block all frequency of sound.
1 year late response but YES, the az 80's soundstage is amazing, the new shape fits better, easier Bluetooth connection. And just like the az60 series, the az80 can also be burnt in, they sound a lot better after having been used for a while
What about the volume? I'm using a Liberty 3 Pro right now and I'm worried that this might be quieter. Another test said it was generally quieter when using LDAC codec. Can you confirm this? For those of you who have this, has there been a firmware update that has improved the volume?
Aaron, I purchased the Jabra Elite 10 because of your review and just want to let you know that everything you demonstrated and said is SPOT ON. I am definitely happy with the Elite 10 using it extensively over the last 2 weeks. My only wish is the earpiece would have a bit more snug fit and volume controls. But I do understand the trade off between the soft gel like plastic vs foam. Do you plan to do a comparison with the Denon Perl Pro as well? Keep up the good work.
There are volume controls, disable google assistant and put it on android default then you'll have volume controls. I have them and have volume controls

I am wondering if anyone has both the Technics AZ80s AND the Pixel Buds Pro. Are the Technics more comfortable to wear than the Pixel buds as I find the Pixel buds (my first and only pair of wireless ANC buds so far) only somewhat comfortable.
@@Radykall1 Thanks for the reply. I ended up getting the AZ80s and for my ears, they are more comfortable and easier to insert and position into MY ears. No slight against the Pixel buds but for my ears, the sound is better in a number of different categories....close but not as good as the AZ80s.
What earbuds have the most comfortable fit, soft, for prolonged use? Also, the best sound quality, with multipoint? QC Ultra seems like a good contender, AZ80 too, also heard good things about Denon PerL Pro.
Just returned my momentum 4 for the technics. Battery life is horrible, terrible connection issues. I listen to podcasts at work, getting about 5 hrs with ANC off and transparency off.
Anybody can give me information about that? I bought jabra elite 10 but the volume is lower airpods pro 2 and jabra 75t ..Im dissapointed about that .My phone is 15 pm
Idk if it's just me but I've noticed that the Technics AZ80 CAN be burnt in (the same goes for the AZ60 I previously used). The more you use them, the better they sound.
Thank you for letting us know about the loudandwireless website! That's epic! Also, I have a Hiby DAP with parametric EQ in the Hiby App. That would translate the same way when keeping the EQ on the Technics app flat right (would I be able to use the PEQ on the App to affect music in the earbuds)?
Also, maybe compare to Denon Perl Pro please? If you know of the difference, if I only have APTX Adaptive/LDAC and no APTX Lossless, are the Perl still better than the AZ80? Thanks a lot man.

The thing with Technics earbuds is you have to be patient because they can be burnt in, they sound significantly better after having been used for a while. I bought the AZ80, they were excellent except for the comfort factor. They didn't feel good to me because of their size. In the end I settled with the Sony Linkbuds Fit.
Aron, I feel you really missed test of comfortable and battery life. First of all is comfortable. It could be the best sounding and features and everything, but if buds are not comfortable it does kills all other advantages. As I know Technics AZ 80 sits deep in ear canal, so that could be a deal braker. What you could say about that?
I swear Technics have the best call quality experience but if you want to hear music in high volume, know that the highest volume is not that high and that is a big let down..... the connectivity is also sketchy .... I am returning mine ..... I wonder how come none of these reviewers do not talk about performance of these earbuds at max volume
@@solarcj9313 ... Yes I tried but still significantly low .... Moreover the bass is also not satisfactory..... If you need call quality, these are the best in the market .... Way way better than XM5 or XM4 because they will suppress the surround noise not making your voice sound robotic which Sony does .... I have to let them go
But to be very honest, I have just received my pair of AZ80 and the call quailty is way better than your demonstration (in HK street scenario). Now noticed just my voice isn't that magical it is more seems like you can check your voice only as an app function. However the call is very satisfiying. Not talking about the sound as I think there is admitted by too many review that it's really one of the best I just wanna talk about the connection... especially on computer to phone switching, is so far the best experience I have ever had. The stability, the connection speed are both execllent. I would say this pair of buds is actually very good for business usage or maybe so far the best. 1 of the point is, Technic has polished well on their product, as by my experience connection is not just about the Bluetooth, is more about the APP and firmware. On the another way Soundcore product I feel always messed by new app or firmware update... @@aaronloudnwireless
I want to but I’ve never had any Jabra’s with great mics, sound quality, amazing, for videos and music but never had any with great mics and I had the Elite Active 65ts and now have the Elite 7 Pros
How many people sit in their house and blast Cafe style background noise and then grab a fan to blast around their head? Because if you do don't get the AZ80. And if you do you're nuts. Nice comparison Aaron thank you. 💯👍🇺🇸
Hi. Are your graphs compensated to a particular target curve (i.e. they are not raw graphs)? I ask because nearly all of them seem to be missing the elevated presence region.
@@aaronloudnwireless Oh ok. But I believe it will better to show raw graphs since most people preference is not the DF target. And maybe superimpose the target graph with the raw graph (display both simultaneously). Raw graphs are always best.
The big difference between the Technics AZ80 and AZ60 M2 is the sound. The AZ60 M2 has 8mm drivers vs the AZ80's 10mm drivers. The M2 sounds the same as the original AZ60, but the ANC and mic have been upgraded, and as someone with the AZ60, I think the sound is great for an in ear bud. I haven't heard the AZ80 but the reviews I have seen say the AZ80 sounds a little better, with a bit more bass, but the difference isn't massive, and many think the AZ60m2 is much better value.
I have ordered sony xm4 tws yesterday at 100$ in sale. Is it worth it?? And also i am getting galaxy buds 2 pro at 80-90$. Please suggest me which one is better please reply it will really help me a lot.❤
The jabras didn’t fit my ears well, high pitched voices could be heard on anc and my own voice sounded very muffled on calls- can see how they would be super comfortable if they worked for your ears- technics have been great
What a great review. You hit all the main points. On a separate note, I love, love the sound of STATUS 3 ANC, BUT THEY ARE IMPOSSIBLE. I'VE SPENT HOURS TRYING TO CONNECT TO MORE THAN ONE DEVICE. I would love your thoughts on the STATUS 3 ANC earbuds.
@@aaronloudnwireless you do know they come off by default? how many people might be misleading by this review if you dont point and clarify just my voice was off (it comes off by default)
Bought the WH-1000XM4 and I had the battery issue on one of my headphones. Sony Argentina did not want to honor the repair or replacement as they're doing in other parts of the world. Been buying Sony audio since I was a little kid, but will go with the Technics next time as trust has been broken.
I cant compare Bose with Technics in real life, because I have only Bose, but in reallity Bose sound very great and treble isnt excessive as in this review. Bose qc 2 has very pleasure, clear, rich sound with nice bass.
Enjoy your reviews. Good mix of measurements with easy to understand language. Would appreciate your views on AZ60M2. Are they at least as good as AZ60 you tested last year? How do they compare to AZ80?
I bought the Technics Az80 now in late 2024 for 199€, they are good, in particular the sound, they are not very loud, i could need some db more, and the Noice Canceling is only ok, my old oneplus buds pro 2 was much better, and my Bose Quiet Comfort 2 was god tier anc
Trust me the az80 can be burnt in, they sound A LOT better after having been used for a while. I previously owned the az60 and the same thing also happended
@@aaronloudnwireless ok. Waiting for its noise cancellation performance compared to qc2 and airpids pro 2. Also its new feature:immersive/spatial audio whether this feature also works in iphone.
Always great videos! Aaron, have you ever thought of trying something like the Aviot te-d01q or the Radius HP-T250BT? The models are very very very tiny and no one has made the review of both. I'm so curious to hear an expert's review!
Foam tips ftw, they make them so secure and passively isolate the noise better too and even made the sound somewhat darker and richer. I had the AZ70 and they were epic with foam tips before I gifted them to my dad.
Do you recommend Elite 10 or Az80. Elite 10 is 75$ cheaper than Az80 where I live. I'm in a tight position to decide. HELPP! Edit: bought both, decided to keep Az80. Better comfort and sound made me chose.
I'm getting the wf xm4 for around $92... Should I still go with the xm5?? Is it that good? Pls advice Also, my phone supports only BT5.2 and not planning to upgrade for another 2 years. Do sony give updates for xm4 since xm5 is now released?
Xm5 is a downgrade from xm4. Obviously xm5 are smaller, but the ear tips are hard and don't stay in your ears that well and fall out. And for me personally, the xm5 were not comfortable in the slightest. Az80 and Jabra elite 10 are top for comfort and sound as well. The Jabra is slightly more comfortable than az80, and their sound to me is almost identical. Currently trying to decide which I would keep. And the anc on the az80 is better than Jabra and xm5, as well as the transparency mode.
Those earbuds sound good but don’t buy anything before you hear the Devialet Gemini II, it’s much more capable of producing natural spacious high end sound than any other earbuds in the market.
If you listen to Aaron samples sound, you will understand AZ60M2 have the same quality sound, for 140€. Sony, Bose, Apple have not that BIG heavy and clear sound .
Yet another reviewer who doesn't consider suction/pressure or occlusion effect. This is a BIG win for the Elite 10s. It's such an important parameter for many, many people.
Just got AZ80 and love the terrific sound quality! Now big disappointment, must push volume 15-20% higher than on my Between 3ANC to get same intensity! Sure the music I’m listening to is complicated perhaps but prog live with orchestra and chorus demands clarity, separation so that even details can be heard. I have no loyalty to any brand nor am I stuck with my purchases but so far sound quality and punch belongs to Between 3 ANC. Sure Bose Ultra and Jabra 10 are good but still can’t beat 3ANC! Now 3ANC isn’t features best but these other things don’t matter to me as much as powerful sound quality
Thanks! I was thinking about getting the az80 because my right bud on my 3ANC has a weird pressure issue now. It has to be in a certain position, otherwise the sound gets quieter. It might have to do with the filter screen that came loose when changing tips last month? I wish they sold replacement filters so I could try fixing it. Super bummed about it, but I guess I’ll just get another and send my current one in to get fixed or replaced. Wouldn’t mind having 2 pairs tbh lol. At least I have AirPods Pro 2 as my main set, but the 3ANC is just amazing for movies and music, way way way better than my old Sony xm3 or Soundpeats opera 05/engine 4. The Sony sounds mushy and congested in comparison.
The 3ANC honestly sounds as good as a $100-$150 wired iem. Great layering for a tws probably due to the 3 drivers. I’d say it’s pretty similar to the aful performer 5, but maybe not quite as resolving but a bit more midbass thump. Audiophile eq is great for loud listening, otherwise I use the original between pro eq for its dynamics. I do wish it had at least aptx adaptive or ldac….but for just being sbc or aac it still sounds better than any other tws I’ve heard, and better than a lot of wired iems.
I had some sony m4 it was the worst experience of my life with earbuds. Battery failed after an hour call quality was dismally poor. I thought I had a bad set. Returned to sony. Nothing wrong apparently. I will never buy sony again. Im on my way to buy Jabra 10. First jabras ever. Il let u know

I swear Technics have the best call quality experience but if you want to hear music in high volume, know that the highest volume is not that high and that is a big let down..... the connectivity is also sketchy .... I am returning mine ..... I wonder how come none of these reviewers do not talk about performance of these earbuds at max volume
Have you adjusted the settings to 10+ decibels if so and it's still low in big buying them. I like volume
I have to let them go
@@solarcj9313if you like loud listening you should check out the status between 3ANC. They get really damn loud, I can’t even max them.
Can you upload sound sample AZ80 for comparison because I can't see it?
Thanks for letting me know. You should be able to see it now!
technics az60m2 comparison video?
Just wondering when doing the mic test. Hv you tried the difference between Just my voice on?
Same question
It was on by default.
But to be very honest, I have just received my pair of AZ80 and the call quailty is way better than your demonstration (in HK street scenario). Now noticed just my voice isn't that magical it is more seems like you can check your voice only as an app function. However the call is very satisfiying.
Not talking about the sound as I think there is admitted by too many review that it's really one of the best
I just wanna talk about the connection... especially on computer to phone switching, is so far the best experience I have ever had.

Eartips for these/Az60m2?
Still prefer the Elite 10. Mostly as they are all rounders that are so comfortable. And the mics own.
I recently bought the AirPods and the Sonys. My two cents is that the sony fives, jabra 10s, and bose ultra is the way to go.
I feel like I’m the only one who can’t get them to sit right in ear because of that soft touch coating they have
You don't miss LDAC & extra Multipoint?
The Elite 10 suck for phone calls.
I tested them. All
I want to but I’ve never had any Jabra’s with great mics, sound quality, amazing, for videos and music but never had any with great mics and I had the Elite Active 65ts and now have the Elite 7 Pros
Hy sir ,what airpods can you recomand me for music quality only between Sony ,Technics,JBl, Jabra?
How many people sit in their house and blast Cafe style background noise and then grab a fan to blast around their head? Because if you do don't get the AZ80. And if you do you're nuts. Nice comparison Aaron thank you. 💯👍🇺🇸
Thanks haha. Blasting noise and wind is an acquired hobby lol
bcoz most reviewers here in YT are kinda robotic, they use "artificial" tests instead of realistic ones..

Does the frequency graph smoother mean better ?
Hi. Are your graphs compensated to a particular target curve (i.e. they are not raw graphs)? I ask because nearly all of them seem to be missing the elevated presence region.
The graphs are calibrated to DF target curve for IEMs
@@aaronloudnwireless Oh ok. But I believe it will better to show raw graphs since most people preference is not the DF target. And maybe superimpose the target graph with the raw graph (display both simultaneously). Raw graphs are always best.
Which one is better for volume, sound quality and noise canceling, the Technics AZ 80 or the Technics AZ 60 M2.
Excellent review! I have a question. Are the two headphones independent of each other with two separate streams?
So how is the b and w pi 7 s2 comepared to these ?
The jabras didn’t fit my ears well, high pitched voices could be heard on anc and my own voice sounded very muffled on calls- can see how they would be super comfortable if they worked for your ears- technics have been great
same for me with the elite 10, anc was very bad even using severals eartips...so i returned them
What a great review.
Any chance to review hifiman svanar against all the top earbuds mentioned here. Thx
Want to see Bose QC ultra headphone review in your channel. Waiting bro.
I am tempted to return my xm5 and get the jabra elite 10 and 8 active for workouts
Obviously you haven't checked out the Aurvana Ace 2...trully amazing!
I thought about getting the Az60m2..
Your noise reduction mode test is wrong. The reduction is for the caller. The mode u want is just my voice
That was already on by default though
@@aaronloudnwireless you do know they come off by default? how many people might be misleading by this review if you dont point and clarify just my voice was off (it comes off by default)
Bought the WH-1000XM4 and I had the battery issue on one of my headphones. Sony Argentina did not want to honor the repair or replacement as they're doing in other parts of the world. Been buying Sony audio since I was a little kid, but will go with the Technics next time as trust has been broken.
Do a test with the new bose qc n technics az80
Irony is that quite comfort are also the loud comfort on noice cancel!!!
Why aren’t you making videos on bose qc ultra? We are interested on this more than these!
It’s not launched in my country yet, soon though
No, we're definitely not. Bose sucks. 🙄
Does Airpods feel richer in sound than both Sony and Technics?
No. I returned the AirPod pro 2’s after one day of using them and got the technic’s AZ80’s. Best decision I’ve ever made
@@Gabriel_Alexbs😂
Which of these are the BestBluetooth Wireless Headphones 🎧?
Mark Levinson No. 5909
VS.
FOCAL - Bathey’s Headphones
I'm here for Aaron's quick fox
Pls advice
Also, my phone supports only BT5.2 and not planning to upgrade for another 2 years.
@@him7537lmfao you’re not smart
Review bose ultra please
Listening with airpods pro2, with no money left wanted to try more of jabra and sony😂😂.
Between 3ANC is also solid
Bose is my favourite. Always get chills with it's sound quality.
For me, the ANC on the AZ80's is barely noticeable. Definitely not an upgrade from the AZ60mk1.
It seems the anc on the 80s is not great.
That’s why I returned the AZ80s. ANC was terrible. And btw, his graphs are not accurate.
I have these they're top tier bud's
Which ones you like better I like higher volume
Those earbuds sound good but don’t buy anything before you hear the Devialet Gemini II, it’s much more capable of producing natural spacious high end sound than any other earbuds in the market.
If you listen to Aaron samples sound, you will understand AZ60M2 have the same quality sound, for 140€. Sony, Bose, Apple have not that BIG heavy and clear sound .
Technics is very capable, so it really needs to be compared with the best, meaning with B&O and B&W
I’ll wait for the AZ80 mk2
Panasonic and Technics (and National) used to be a electronics giant second only to Sony. What on earth happened to them?
eii zee 8's are fantastic
Thats a beast of a mic
Yet another reviewer who doesn't consider suction/pressure or occlusion effect. This is a BIG win for the Elite 10s. It's such an important parameter for many, many people.
It seems to me Technics and Jabra sound best of all
The Airpods did not sound as good as the technics.I own the technics eah ez 60.Older model, but great sound with ldac.
@@Hijynx87 I use Musi EQ app with it to to amplify and adjust perfectly! Got PerL pro arriving tomorrow can’t wait to compare
Comon mate, be fair enough, Jabras did best job of mic test in noisy condition, not airpods
Il let u know
How are the jabra 10s
Absolutely love them best fit, best sound quality best overall iv ever had. Will be buying more of them. Easy to fit in ear, clear calls. Love them better than my last favourites samsung buds 2 pro
Jabra has liquidated its consumer in-ear headphone division - there will be no new Jabra headphones ;./
Jabra 10 Elite was best in noisy environment yeah
