Another kick ass video - you have trucks coming to you all across our fruited plain...if that doesn’t say something about your work, nothing does. Keep up the throttle my brother!! Happy weekend!!
Wow ,I was waiting for a third procedure where you have to stand on one foot and count to 30 once egt4 hit 230 degrees ... great job explaining the process in detail . I’m kind of surprised you don’t replace all 4 of them on a high mileage truck, how often do they fail?
Ahhhh it's been a while since I've needed to do that monumentally pain in the ass procedure to get a vehicle to exit engine idle only strategy. And yes, I've had my share of times where I've had to repeat the process after a couple of unsuccessful attempts. Others, like in that video, I've had the vehicle exit idle only, even well before I've completed the procedure per the instruction.
This sounds like u can manual regen with an obd2 handheld if you can decipher the PIDS. I don't get why there isn't a manual regen button like in Internationals or Cats. Granted that's probably because idiots burn houses down by doing it with the xhaust pointed at combustibles like theyre own house or a pile of leaves. Awesome Vid great content . Big thumbs UP. On a 2021 Is there a factory egt sensor off the exhaust manifold that reads the same kinda Temps as a aftermarket sensor that would normally be installed in a block off plate after deleting EGR cooler?
Hi i have a 2016 with exhaust fluid def warning on dash, i also have a p207 check engine light that came on so it let me remove the check engine light but it is still shows up in forscan, i am 9 miles till 50 miles left to engine idle. i have tried to clear with forscan but dont see duty cycle square and wont clear. em i doing the right prodcedure, and help please
What would be the best way to keep theses connecters water tight if you don't have a dpf i have tried filling with dielectric grease and covering with a glove but it still allows water to get in and blow the fuse
I had a dtc for bank 1 sensor 1 and 2 replaced with new oem motorcraft, new sensors are still reading 2500 degrees all 4 egt connectors are clean and getting correct voltage have no clue what the hell is going on any tips ?
Not a ford truck, but a diesel chevrolet cruze. What if you were driving across the desert or leaving a hurricane to safety. What if your driving down a construction area with no shoulder to pull over on a small highway like I-95. The car's computer says wait a minute, your exhaust just spit a puff of smoke, shut down now! Get stranded because your car is out of compliance. Oh yeah, give the EPA more power. I will never buy another diesel car.
How would you perform this reset procedure without the IDS/Diagnostic software? I'd like to carry a spare in my truck for my '15 and I'm comfortable replacing the sensor on the road, but I'm not sure how I would get it out of limp mode without following the diagnostic sequence?
Cutting the wire and using socket with a breaker bar is a great tip! 👍🏼
Got to love 12s, its like the year where Ford YOLOd trucks.

I have that part sitting in my glove box. Also have a cheapy blue tooth code reader. That's my plan if it happens while I'm on a trip.
Thank you. What a great resource your channel (you) is.
Thank you for your kind words

Has anyone tried thuis procedure on newer models to see if it works? Could it be like vw to get around emissions?
Have you encountered any defects heater short causing the pump not to work?

@wangautomotive The Chevy dealer.......
@@PowerStrokeTechTalkwARod probably not anymore, i've never heard of a Diesel Cruze and now I want one
Why change it without testing the sensor ?
There is no ford published testing for this component
