Good job! so many others on RUclips telling you it's a hardware failure, you have to reset, your bios is the problem... this video saved me so much just a simple switch off 2 times to Windows loading screen with the dots on my lenovo w540 and system restore back to normal no black screen!
please guys make sure you back up your memory every month! even every 2 weeks with a storage device, USB or Windows system restore you never know what can happen i was on the verge of resetting till I found this video and did the system restore choice luckily I had backup a few days ago obviously I deleted something on the computer which caused the black screen 😂
You saved me from throwing my laptop into the recycling bin! I followed your advice with the uninstallation of the Adapters Folder files (2 of them on Windows 10) and the Monitors Folder (1 file), both inside the Device Manager Folder. I did have my Drivers CD in the floppy drive which I thought may have been a good idea as well. Rebooted my laptop and WOW ..... the screen was/is revitalized! No more BLACK SCREEN! It took some time to acclimate and settle in, but it did! I reloaded my security software and am now happy! Thanks! Your SUPER!

I saw your Idea worked for many people as I can see their comments that they have benefited with the help of your video, but I also followed the same as you mentioned in your video still it didn't not work for me. However, I have upgraded my laptop as I have added SSD 128 GB and placed 1TB HDD in place of DVD writer. Despite multiple attempts I couldn't see safe mode screen inspite of black screen coming up after pressing 4 to select safe mode option.
