Windows 10 black screen with cursor after login (6 METHODS)

- Hi guys this is channel f&D in this video i'm going to show you how to fix windows 10 black screen with cursor & windows 10 black screen after login (6 Methods). sometimes after updating your windows you may get black screen or sometimes all of a sudden you may get this black screen. Let's fix this
Text Instructions:-
METHOD 1:-
1) First restart your computer and log in
2) You will have to to do this blindly. First press win+R and type taskmgr and hit enter, this will open task manager. if this doesn't work move your mouse cursor upon the task bar, right click and tap up arrow keys three times and hit enter.
3) Now go to "file" & click on "run new task"
4) Type "regedit" and check "create this task with administrative privileges" box and click on "OK"
5) After opening registry editor navigate to
6) Then right click "shell" on the right side pane and click on "modify" and then type explorer.exe and hit enter
7) Close registry editor and then go to "file" & click on "run new task" and type "shutdown /s -t 01" and check "create this task with administrative privileges" box and click on "OK"
METHOD 2:-
1) Open task manager using anyone of the Technic said in the previous method
2) go to "file & click on "run new task"
3) Type "control" and check "create this task with administrative privileges" box and click on "OK"
4) Now change "view by" on the top right corner to "large icons"
5) Click on "power options"
6) Click on "choose what power buttons do" on the left hand side
7) Now click on "change settings that are currently unavailable"
8) Now uncheck "turn on fast-startup(recommended)" and click on "save changes"
9) Close control panel and then go to "file" & click on "run new task" and type "shutdown /s -t 01" and check "create this task with administrative privileges" box and click on "OK"
METHOD 3:-
1) Open task manager using anyone of the Technic said in the first method
2) go to "file & click on "run new task"
3) Type "devmgmt.msc" and check "create this task with administrative privileges" box and click on "OK"
4) Then expand "display adapters" and right click graphics driver and click on "uninstall device"
5) Check "delete the driver software for this device" and click on uninstall
6) Now click on "yes" to restart your computer
METHOD 4:-
1) Open task manager using anyone of the Technic said in the first method
2) go to "file & click on "run new task"
3) Type "CMD" and check "create this task with administrative privileges" box and click on "OK"
4) Now type "pnputil /enum-drivers" and hit enter
5) Now scroll up and look for "class name" "display adapters" and note down the published name (i.e) oem#.inf
6) Type "pnputil /delete-driver oem#.inf /uninstall /force /reboot" and hit enter
7) Type "shutdown -r -r 01" and hit enter
METHOD 5:-
1) Open task manager using anyone of the Technic said in the first method
2) Go to "services" tab
3) Then click on "open services" option at the bottom
4) Now look for "runonce32.exe" or "runonce.exe"
5) Then right click it click on "properties" and click on stop
6) Then restart you computer
METHOD 6:-
1) Just hold on win+Ctrl+shift+b to restart your graphics driver, this may work sometimes.

If none these work then try the below steps....
1) Unplug everything (power supply) For 10-15 Mins
2) Plug it back in
3) Hold power button and Del key for few seconds and your PC will turn on and off and after some time it will stop turning on and off and your issue might get fixed

@@naksh-baman well idk if you have a spare account but i used the spare account to boot into the admin console of my main account and then proceded to use that to change it to where if i press ease of access it launches the admin console then i booted my pc again used the ease of access loaded the admin console then proceded to give my alt account admin perms then i fixed the hex in that alt account rebooted the pc then voila its back to how it was
If you have a microsoft auth then you should if you have a spare account but if you use your main then you dont have to go through that pain
You can just boot into safe mode and fix your hex in there (if you have admin)

this started happening since i Installed my second monitor. one i unplugged it form my GPU and restarted it was still dojng it. maybe it's because the data of the second monitor was still being detected? annoying bs.

i had same problems i reset bios to default settings with screw driver than rebooted and set BIOS to optimum settings and yay it was all working again .. am no doing a clean install of windows hope all bugs will be gone.

Hi guys in my pc none of these methods worked not ctrl+alt+del or not win+R methods whatever.... I just put my pc at blank screen with cursor and didn't do anything for half an hour then sudden it started diagnosing your PC.... Than after 10-20 minutes it shows repairing you hard disk than suddenly switched off i thought it i've to restart but the battery died (so keep plugged the charger 😂 coz after restarting all processes went again) nothing to worry if nothing works try this just leave ur PC on it owns for whatever time it takes if it doesn't work than show it to some expert buddy 😂...

The first step worked for me, if it didn't work for you then it's highly likely the permissions needs to be changed in the security tab in properties

I have reinstalled windows multiple times. Which fixed the error temporarily. After using the fast boot option it worked.😀 I recently bought a 8 gb ram stick. Do you think it could be a memory error. And also can I turn on fastboot now?

In case someone is down in the comment section looking for an answer, I had a problem where my screen was black from startup, no buttons worked or anything.
All you have to do after starting (even though the screen is black) left click once, type your password and hit enter
Somehow this was the solution for me and I just spent 2 hours looking for a solution I ended up finding myself
After I write the Windows password, I have a black screen, and the task manager does not work. Alt+ctr+dlt work, but the dispatcher does not start

The only things that will come up for me after I login is my start menu, and the ctrl alt del screen. I can boot it into safe mode but nothing I’ve tried has worked. Sometimes I can see my desktop for a few seconds but then it just goes back to black screen. I’ve tried changing the display settings, I’ve unplugged everything, uninstalled drivers, idk how to fix it. It started happening right after an update of some sort. If I click around enough I start getting some windows sound.

I can't found runounce file pls help
for my system I had to use regedit to disable Appx service. System boots normally after setting appx to disabled. So navigate to Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\ and Set AppXSvc 'start' value to 4. What seems to be happening is that some service stalls out the boot process causing the user profile to load very slowly. It will load after 10-15 minutes. So if it is not AppXSvc then some other service is stalling out: use process of elimination to figure it out. Good luck!

This works, If you can't access Task manager, Hold left shift and restart your computer while on the login screen until you are in the recovery console. Go to troubleshoot>advanced options>startup settings>restart , When the text is bigger press F4. This will put your computer into safe mode. Press the windows key and scroll all the way down to the windows system folder and inside that is task manager.
EDIT: Try to leave your black screen still for 2-6 hours, It should be back to normal desktop as it worked for me. The black screen is caused most likely by updates or overloaded storage, So clear some files on your computer. (I'M NOT SAYING THE METHODS IN THE VIDEO DON'T WORK)
Sir, I uninstalled the graphics thing and now my screen looks horrible. It’s bad graphics and it’s stretched. But it STILL didn’t fix the problem, help.. I made a mistake uninstalling the graphics

my issue was from the video driver , i had no keyboard working also , i had to force two times hard shutdown to boot into recovery mode and select to boot into safe mode and uninstall from there the video driver ...after reset everything was solved
