If the computer only boots to a black screen with a cursor, how is anyone supposed to run the Registry Editor on that instance of Windows without first solving the problem of it booting to a black screen with just a cursor? The user hasn't even logged into Windows yet.

So to fix my problem of just updating from win 10 to 11 was, i had to boot into safe mode. I clicked uninstall the latezt feature updates. It basically took out the 24H2 update. I rebooted or restarted the laptop and viola the problem was fixed. I was able to enter in my user id and password. So for those still having problems, safe boot to check your version. Restart and press the F5 to boot into recovery screen. Uninstall the latest featire updates. Hope this helps.

Faced the issue after windows update. Restarting the graphics driver using the shortcut mentioned in the video helped. It took around 30seconds to a minute to display the windows UI. Got the video recommended exactly when I needed it.

Can you explain why windows 11 black screen after update? Your method will work 100% but after you connect the internet windows will automatically update again and it will turn to black screen again and again even I turn off all the automatic updates but if the internet is connected windows will continue auto update again so is there anyway to solve the problem without uninstall the updated?
