Computer: The SA-X is mimicking you at full capacity. Avoid engaging with it at all costs. Samus: But I have one thing it doesn't... 15 shots of coffee. Computer: That much coffee will kill you in less than 2 hours. Even if you could somehow save the galaxy from the X in that time- Samus: Glug glug glug.
I don't have the exact number, but by comparing the length of the full encode (1:40:04) and this encode (59:31), we get a difference of 40:33, which is about 14.5k frames. So more than 40 minutes of cutscenes etc. have been removed in this encode.
I like to imagine that every time Samus uplinks to a Nav Room, Adam is desperately trying to tell her to slow down, but she just goes "lol" and keeps on doing crack.
*Biospark*: Alright I'm going to make the perfect TAS speed run in under an hour! *Sinister Biospark*: But not before I break all of Samus' bones and screw around while waiting...
Ok Bob seems to be a specific missile expansion and a Bob skip is to skip exactly that one wich is really hard. I could go in detail but i don't really want to. Just search for Metroid Fusion Bob skip in Google.
Both. It is a legitimate TAS, from which I have subsequently cut out the cutscenes to make it more fun to watch. The time quoted in the video description (but nobody reads that, I know) is that of the full, uncut run.
Nintendo always has these non-skippable cut scenes. I wish they would added the Super Metroid/Zero Mission styled Wall Jump in addition to the one in game and X-Kraid boss.
What Fusion could have been like if you didn't have to talk to a computer every three minutes at most. I do think it feels better with room transitions, though, although that's not to say Fusion's couldn't have been better.
+Gregor uhm he did the "bob-skip" (name of this missile skip) shinespark in this TAS and you can easily skip it. However I found the reason myself already. The reason why he gets it at that point is that it vanishes later, so you can't collect it anymore if you skipped it.
I find it a lot easier to watch this than the video with all of the cutscenes included. I didn't mind the story playing it, but sitting through all that again is a bit much... on a sidenote, those crab things in sector 4 always reminded me of Meta Knight.
Did someone edit the original TAS run? (As In Edit The Video in a Video Editor) If they did, they did an awesome job! :D Edit: Yeah, Yeah I Know. It sounds stupid to edit all the transitions out of the run. But, i was just curious if someone did
I did not manually edit it. I dumped video while playing back the TAS while telling the emulator to not output frames where the in-game time counter did not change. So the emulator did all the hard work - I just wrote a small script telling it what to do.
I have a problem with this game... besides beign too easy and lineal, I don't like samus run animation; it feels just dull and unnatural, like she doesn't take effort running and just cross a whole room like with three steps... It would be much better if her run animation was double speed while advancing the same, like zero mission or since any other 2d metroid. It shows the game was not made by japanese developers...
Those abrupt room transitions make this feel like a 2000s flash fangame
I like how he just fucks around whenever he has to wait for something

Hold my mug and watch... THIS

I like this style of video, and I get the bonus of being amused by random music cuts due to door transition removal.

This run is much longer than an hour because all transitions got manually cut in a video editing software
This should renamed to "BioSpark's Epic Seizure Run"
It would fit perfectly :D
Kamijou Aeion what is bob skip
@@AntSwift1 Tbh i don't know but i can try to look for it.
Ok Bob seems to be a specific missile expansion and a Bob skip is to skip exactly that one wich is really hard.

My favorite seizure is at 37:20
Does Bob Skip. Then gets Bob
man, tas is so good he even found out how to remove all of the cutscenes and door transitions from fusion
Both. It is a legitimate TAS, from which I have subsequently cut out the cutscenes to make it more fun to watch. The time quoted in the video description (but nobody reads that, I know) is that of the full, uncut run.
Thank you so much for taking the cutscenes out. You're right, it improves the flow greatly.
The thing that always annoyed me was that power bomb sound. It's just too loud at the end. whoosSHHHHH
This would have been a great game were it not far having to stop at the information desk 36 times.
18:39 i love you planting a bomb at the same time as the sa-x
Screen transitions would've been a nice thing to keep.
Mir nah, this is awesome.
ruclips.net/video/8EOBTd99nnY/видео.html
@@sundertooth1666 nah, screen transitions *really* would've been awesome to keep.
Agreed. It feels jarring just popping in and out of rooms
God there’s more cuts in this than an edgy teen
nice
Why would you make a comment comparing something to zero
outta pocket
thats like saying "the distance between the earth and the moon is more than a mile!"
on a more serious note, don't conflate legitimate depression with "edginess" like you're doing here.
Nintendo always has these non-skippable cut scenes. I wish they would added the Super Metroid/Zero Mission styled Wall Jump in addition to the one in game and X-Kraid boss.
They did have the wall jump, but Samus is now too light to cancel her parabolic trajectory
wall jump in am2r is far easier
Absolutely like this version better then the original. Gives a better 'flow'.
You are simply the best !!!

9:00 TIME TO BREAK DANCE!!
LOL NO DANCING UNACCEPTABLE!!!!!!!!!😦😦😦😦😦😦😦😦😦😦😦😦😦😦😦😦😦😦😦😦😦😦😦😦😦😦😦😦😦😦👿
I wish that it was like this were you could skip cutscenes...
Damn he just styled on Fusion haha
Samus using the computer is what my mom thinks I do for 3 hours
2:00 WTF😂😂😂😂
12:52 IMPOSSIBLE!
SA-X in TRO like "She fast as fuck boi!"
Even without the door transitions? That's so weird.
Isn´t it faster to get that missile at 16:03 in the runback at 25:37 ?
It doesn´t look like you are lacking missiles at that point.
+Gregor uhm he did the "bob-skip" (name of this missile skip) shinespark in this TAS and you can easily skip it. However I found the reason myself already. The reason why he gets it at that point is that it vanishes later, so you can't collect it anymore if you skipped it.
I would love to play Metroid Fusion without cutscenes or room transitions to begin with.
room transitions are like loading screens tho
they are important to load the next room
The level of disrespect towards SA-X is so satisfying
59:10 They told me I could become anything, SO I BECAME A DANMAKU BOSS
I find it a lot easier to watch this than the video with all of the cutscenes included. I didn't mind the story playing it, but sitting through all that again is a bit much... on a sidenote, those crab things in sector 4 always reminded me of Meta Knight.
This video stays true to the in-game timer
Gosh without the TAS will be harder
Around 5:10 he missed a missile pack after the charge beam, it's a shot block to the left on the wall.
5:10
46:47
+biospark
Is inhuman. Even on his normal speedruns hes inhuman. No efense
It's a TAS....
He's saying Biospark in genral is a god
Question, doesn't aiming diagonally and switching between up and down advance samus a long, wouldn't doing that whenever possible be faster
I believe arm pumping is only faster in Super Metroid.
@13:14 how did you make that Drift😱😱

Thats Awesome :D
amaureaLua AppleHelper Do you think it's possible to have the emulator show the in-game time on screen?
Do this with the Zero Mission TAS plz
If I can get his permission, I'd do it...
Door transitions aren't cut scenes (take it from an m4 player they would give it more flow)
This is what Michael Baby's wet dreams must be like!
WHAT? is macro gamer?
That must've taken so long to edit...
Has it been cut or is it legit tasing?
Biospark is the player?
Naw this is a tas basically a robot that was programmed by biospark to play the game perfectly by presetting all the inputs
Why did you visit the ship to recharge? You didn't need to.
did you even play the game?
Lmao you do realize there's a larva metamorphosing blocking the entry to the next area & that it only moves after the ship visit
MegaJohnization @46:47 You Were Saiyan?
100% as in item collect, because he already missed a few items in Sector 1.
Which items do you think he missed? And did you watch the whole TAS?
I agree.
love me some aimbot samus
Curious, how many frames were dropped in this encode?
[Before watching all]

so glad cutscences cut out fucking hate em

It was developed by Nintendo R&D1 who are Japanese but go off I guess.
It was also, yknow, made with the fuckin Wario land 4 engine.
