Man, I was kinda disappointed that Samus didn't take off the suit at the end of dread, or atleast take off the helmet. There's a kind of personal "feeling" you get when you get the best ending. Like, even under all that armor and the stoic demeanor, there's still a person under there, and now they get to let loose and relax after a job well done. But dread kinda just left that out, or maybe Dread's story isn't done yet. I haven't heard anything concerning DLC though, so I don't know.
@@angeluss28 I find that ironic because a bunch of them woke journalists were complaining that Samus "didn't smile enough" I guess it's only sexist when actual fans complain. Regardless, I'm gonna take this as a challenge. I'm gonna animate the endings I want to see myself.
Maybe the story of metroid dread is still incomplete and it'll be further continued in sequel, so she can't relax just yet because her job isn't done there.
I've always been a bit confused by the fusion endings. Since it talked about the surgery and such, I kinda figured she'd look a bit different, or that parts of the suit were fused to her, etx. The endings are amazing, some of the best pictures of her, but still. But then the dread ending leaned into the idea anyway, with how she needed the suit changed to not drain the ship so is presumably stuck.
They needed to operate samus' suit because its kinda organic and it locked the moment Samus fell in coma. So the surgery was to remove some organic parts of her suit. That's why the Fusion suit takes so much damage.
I agree. After such a surgery I doubted she would look as a normal human anymore and it kinda seemed weird to me to see her in those endings so... Well.
Keep in mind that the Metroid Suit wasn't just her suit going rampant, she herself was going rampant. If she didn't have the suit on in that scene, she probably would have fleshy dreadlocks, large fangs, and spines growing from her arms and legs; something like the Queen of Blades from StarCraft. The extra Thoha DNA helped turn off the Metroid rampancy, but not necessarily her suit. Based on what I've gathered through the series, her power suit is integrated into her DNA and only she can willingly turn it on and off; it's not stored on her ship or in her zero suit, it's a part of her being (Zero Mission's last act confuses me; how does she lose her suit from getting shot down? Idk.) She's been knocked unconscious in Prime 3 and Dread, but the suit stays on. In Fusion she gets infected by the X, so that's why the Federation performed surgery to try to cut the infection off, and then the Metroid DNA sorta glued her back together post-surgery. I think she can still willingly take the suit on and off due to the Fusion endings, and due to the death animations showing her suit exploding off of her in Fusion and Dread. I think she still appears as a human in spite of being part Metroid; her Thoha and Mawkin DNA didn't change her human appearance, but there's no doubt they helped her grow tall and muscular. Her Metroid could likely be activated in moments of anger or after siphoning large amounts of energy.

I loved Dread, but, compared to Fusion, , it felt short and like a walk in the park till the final boss fight when the difficulty ramps from 0-60 in 1.5 seconds lol

@Arnulfo Torres And btw, i like Lara's remake, Ellie, Sadie Adler and Claire and Jill in both RE remakes. they're 'natural' characters in a video game.
To be fair, the REAL final boss of Fusion was the SA-X. The Omega metroid just kind of was added as a means to get Samus's old suit back through the SA-X absorption
Metroid lore in poor words: Oh wow a suspicious looking planet Oh no there are things that wanna kill me noooooo I kill them all Oh no the planet is exploding
I like the fact as every remake of Metroid, she suit actually started showing actual hips women ACTUALLY have? :) I think the first Metroid on the Nintendo they made Samus a women at the VERY end just to mess with the male gamers, save it turned out to be an awesome idea. Gives it that Tomb Raider feel save in Sci-Fi. It did reprove a point though, just like Tomb Raider it is possible to build a game around a female hero as long as it's thought out right and the story makes sense. But then again? That goes with ANY HERO in ANY game as sex really doesn't matter.
Evolution of… low power alarms in Metroid games? The beeping when your energy reserves go down into the ‘red zone’? I think some have two variants, like the beeping going faster and higher pitched in Other M when the energy is flickering between 1 and 0.
I think Metroid NES took way too much inspiration from Super Mario Bros, from Kraid’s animations to the IMPOSSIBLY fast countdown at the end of the game!
Definitely like the Prime endings the most cause they feel the most respectful of Samus as a character. Sure 2 and 3 show the Zero Suit in a quick pan up to her face, but there's no static images of her in scantily clad outfits as your reward like in the other games. Do I find Samus attractive? Yeah, but those endings always felt a bit....greasy
Dread's "endings" are so lackluster. They'd serve better as completion bonuses, I mean only one of them has unsuited Samus and it's just generic tribute art. Cool art yeah but it's no replacement for the traditional endings. Cut content sucks :(
I personally sould rather not have her character be oversexualized, and am fine with the removal, it needs a fitting replacement, but until then, I'm fine to finally not have it, it is a dumb tradition.
@@PO1PLE The endings aren't by default sexualized tho. Not anymore. I like the endings like in Prime 3 where she's just taking a moment to reminisce about her mission or in zero mission where she's at a bar or fusion where she's walking through a city. I mean, the blue and orange two piece are essentially sportswear, they're not sexualized compared to the zero suit It humanizes her more and I like being able to see what she does in her free time. Someone did a true rendering of what Samus looked like in her Zero Suit from dread when showing how much of the game was 3D. She’s ripped, and I’m happy for that.
The first time i saw Samus Was in smash bros on N64. I thought it was a roboter 😆
X2
I miss the zero suit ending in metroid dread
Zero mission Samus 👍🏻
Love the different art work for Samus.
Well....Metroid Prime (2002) is my fav, she seem more natural and doesn't look like a Barbie, and no spandex with high heels, hooters uniform or underwear, she just take off the helmet, and that's it.
It's just the female body. Lol lord have mercy.
@@UnifiedEntity I bet the mighty lord agrees with me.
@Arnulfo Torres And btw, i like Lara's remake, Ellie, Sadie Adler and Claire and Jill in both RE remakes. they're 'natural' characters in a video game.
Super Metroid is my fav version of Samus. I'm always saddened by the way they nerfed her muscles
Samus' face and bust size seem to change in almost every game. It's like she has a dozen cousins with similar hair.
When you realize that Samus is an exhibitionist in her off time.
She can afford to be. If anyone tried to touch her without her consent, she could effortlessly kill them.
Such a shame we'll never reach the level of power that Fusion had again

Yeah, Imagine if Zelda was a girl!
I don't remember the final boss in Fusion being (or looking) so easy. It just stood there.
To be fair, the REAL final boss of Fusion was the SA-X. The Omega metroid just kind of was added as a means to get Samus's old suit back through the SA-X absorption
@@thx4chrckingin SA-X a phone
It’s just standing there, MENACINGLY!
in super metroid and fusion was samus rlly hot
Metroid lore in poor words:
Oh wow a suspicious looking planet
Oh no there are things that wanna kill me noooooo
I kill them all
Oh no the planet is exploding
Ow
You forgot the part where you somehow *always* lose your suit and keep reassembling it on repeat.
The best way to put in a zero suit 2nd run is for the zero suit be an explanation of a hard mode where you only deal 1/2 damage and have 1/2 defense.
It’s funny how we’ve become more prudish since the 80’s with video games.
I Hate that…
The best ending is that original NES best finish!!!
2:27 The Animals were saved, no frames for you speed runners! LOL
we're going to be given something more than previous at some point I swear
Talking about Samus, I believe that Justine Ezarik could do the voice of Samus.
I think Metroid NES took way too much inspiration from Super Mario Bros, from Kraid’s animations to the IMPOSSIBLY fast countdown at the end of the game!
Even pixels can't stop you from doing your using hand.
How have the Metroid action figures in fusion yet to become a real thing yet lol
cause they got cancled due to the game doing poorly
Finally a video OwO hasnt commented on
Definitely like the Prime endings the most cause they feel the most respectful of Samus as a character.
Cut content sucks :(
Here's hoping there's an update...
I mean, the blue and orange two piece are essentially sportswear, they're not sexualized compared to the zero suit
It humanizes her more and I like being able to see what she does in her free time. Dread has none of that which sicks because ZM and Fusion did it so well
@@PO1PLE you opinion
@@alventuradelacruz522 that is why I said personally and not just "it should", I was trying to be respectful about my opinion
Come on Dread, get your act together.
Samus' ship has the coolest design in Dread.
Super Metroid was the best game of em all.
Metroid Fusion Samus was top-tier. I was VERY disappointed there was no special ending for getting 100% or beating Dread in par time
Is it just me, or is the Metroid Prime Hunters credits theme basically just remix of the main Pokemon theme?

This is the only thing that I did not like about Dread, There was no different endings based on time
Personally I’m not upset by this( 1 reason is because I suck major ass at speed running) but I understand why others would be upset
@@endoskel9262 Same. Even though I've played all the other games (except Other M, though we can forget about that one, and the Prime Trilogy), I can never get the best time to get ZSS in the end in some of them (forgot which games I did at least do best) since I spend way too much time trying to collect everything.
The Ending Rewards gallery images that it gives you for speedrun rewards are pretty fucking sick though, you gotta agree with that.
@@heyitsyaboi8419 yeah. Every single one of them are cool. Especially Fusion, where Samus looks like she's about to roll up her arm cannon and bare-knuckle the SA-X to death.
@@heyitsyaboi8419 idk illustrations just feel so cheap as replacements for endings, they work better as an extra bonus or something. I was curious to see ZSS not just because shes hot, but because I was wondering how Samus looked after she said she was surgically altered in Fusion because of the X parasite.
サムスベビーが生まれてくるところを、見せてあげたい。
I never see the best endings. I suck at speed runs, to busy exploring or getting lost.
the intro is fire 😳
Remember, it took nintendo 18 years to choose one design for zero-suit samus.
Well, like 16-18 years.
after seeing some of these, i was just like, "these games are marketed towards kids right...?"
From Metroid Fusion to the end of the video are my favorite ending in Metroid Games.
While I wasn't offended by the old reward endings, I don't really miss it in dread. A longer cinematic is always welcome, but I'm perfectly happy with what we got. I like the glance she gives through the helmet, feels like she sees the player.
Every place Samus lands blows up, life lesson: if She lands on your planet - leave
The planet?

I wonder, how many parents walking in on their so getting the best ending in Metroid or Super Metroid and how they reacted to that...
I don't think that many kids would be that good (excluding outside help \ knowledge)
dark samus just wanted to tap the chest plate
Censorship at play I feel bad for the newer generations. 13:11 was the last metroid I played.
I was wondering if/hoping that you'd use the 'save the animals' version as best, though technically it's an extra on top.
Not really since that's the canon ending
